London is everything I should stay away from. Sweet, perfect, and my best friend’s girl. She’s also pregnant with his kid. A kid who will never know its dad -- because of me.
She spends her life fixing things...and I spend mine breaking them.
The woman has this whole messed up theory that she can heal me, but I’m not just damaged, I’m irreparably broken. And my love for her won’t just burn her this time, it could destroy us both.
Amazon bestselling author C.M. Seabrook writes hot, steamy romances with possessive bad boys, and the passionate, fiery women who love them. Swoonworthy romances from the heart!
I have loved every standalone book in the Savages and Saints series by the gloriously talented C.M. Seabrook, but after the big climactic showdown in the third installment, I was chomping at the bit to read Abbott’s story in BEAST!
In my opinion, there’s nothing more intoxicating than a redemption story featuring a black sheep hero with a checkered past, and when said hero is hopelessly in love with his best friend’s girl it’s an embarrassment of riches. Oh, and did I mention that the heroine has a bun in the oven and that Abbott holds himself responsible for her baby daddy’s demise? Talk about angst and drama galore!
THE PREMISE: Abbott Savage, a fighter in and out of the octagon, has always left a path of destruction in his wake. His downward spiral began with a life altering mistake that he made years ago and the guilt, self-hatred and remorse has been eating him alive ever since. As such, he has always known he’s not good enough for his childhood best friend, London McClain, who is sweet as sugar and the only bright ray of sunshine in his life. So, he made the ultimate sacrifice and set her up with his best buddy, Kyle, a man who was more worthy of her love. And while it gutted him watching the girl he loved find happiness with another man, he knew stepping aside was the right thing to do. But now his best friend is gone and London is pregnant and alone and in dire need of a hero. A PROTECTOR. A man to shelter her from the storm. Abbott knows he’s the last man she needs, but no matter how much he tries, he cannot walk away from this girl who always manages to see the best in him no matter what. Can London finally tame the beast inside of him and grant him a chance at true redemption and forever love? Or will the sins of his past destroy them both in the end?
MY MUSINGS: C.M. Seabrook captivated me from start to finish with BEAST! Take one big, muscly, bad boy hero and mix him in with a sweet, kind-hearted damsel in distress and you get a recipe for PURE PERFECTION!
This book is chock full of many of my favorite tropes but it is FAR from a cookie cutter tale. On the contrary, the author crafted a passion-fueled, poignant story about hope, healing, forgiveness, the powerful bonds of love, friendship and family, and the beauty of second chances. I really enjoyed the way she executed this tumultuous, tender-hearted love story, and the manner in which she juxtaposed flashbacks into the present to home in on the H&h’s tumultuous history, and expose the devastating dark skeleton in Abbott’s past, added even more emotional layers into this uber provocative tale.
And Omg! I FREAKING LOVED the chemistry between Abbott and London. Their connection was undeniable, their destiny written in the stars and their love scenes were deliciously steamy, tantalizingly torrid and infused with so much depth of feeling it took my breath away! And prepare yourself for quite the adrenaline rush, because the journey these two embark on together is pulsing with heart-stopping emotion, high stakes drama , palpable sexual tension, and sizzling passionate intensity!
The character development was also stellar. Gah! I swooned so hard over this broody black sheep! Abbott’s so deliciously primal and ferociously protective...but sob....at his core he’s such a dark, tortured, broken soul. For years he’s been harboring a tragic secret from his past that has led this wild, untamed beast of a man to erect an iron fortress around his heart to keep his loved ones from getting too close.
“He carries his darkness around him like a shield, his damaged heart a sword that he uses to wound those he cares about.”
But his time for trying to drown his pain in women, booze, fighting and dangerously reckless behavior is about to end. Because London needs him to step up the plate and there’s NOTHING that he won’t do for this girl. So, for her sake, he’s determined to turn his life around and claw his way out of the darkness. But it’s easier said than done…
Meanwhile, London has been infatuated with Abbott since he rescued her from playground bullies at the tender age of ten. But even though her feelings morphed from hero worship to full-fledged love as they grew older, and the attraction was more than mutual, she reluctantly moved on with his best pal because she feared they’d never have a shot together. But deep down the dimpled, dark-haired beauty has never stopped pining for him even when she eventually found happiness with Kyle. Which turned out to be tragically short lived. London knows that playing house with the “beast of Port Clover” can end in more heartbreak. But now that Abbott’s vowed to stand by her throughout her pregnancy and beyond, she is determined to risk it all to fuse his broken pieces together and help make him whole.
I CHERISHED this heroine! Despite all the hardships she’s endured in her life, the pretty, pure-hearted nurse is a true survivor and radiates so much hope and goodness. She’s the light to Abbott’s dark and I adore how her belief in him never, ever wavers and that she refuses to give up on him even when all the other Savages have pretty much washed their hands of him. But can her love alone eradicate the dark demons from his past?
Sighhhh. While the road to HEA was not always easy for these best friends turned lovers, and they had quite a fight on their hands at times, ultimately the payoff was oh so sweetly victorious! I also thought the author did an INCREDIBLE job of weaving the Savage family and all the other secondary characters into the fabric of the story, and the Moody and Theo cameos were THE BOMB!
BOTTOM LINE: BEAST was absolutely riveting from start to finish and proves yet again that C.M. Seabrook is a TRUE CHAMPION in my book!
***Squeeeeee**** I've been waiting for Abbott's book for a while now. So glad to finally be able to find out why he was so self destructive. Finally find out what's going on in his heart and in his head. Abbott isnt very likeable in the first couple of pages but was so very happy when he turned that around quickly. I just loved this couple. This is a standalone and can be read by itself. But I suggest reading from the beginning of the series. Just to get the full story.
Do you know how many days I've been suffering waiting for this book to arrive? Way to many because first of all I hate waiting and second of all I love this author... Can you see how I was hurting? You can't... Or you can if you're a fan of this series... CM Seabrook have a permanent place in my heart, not just because of her books but the primary reason is that she's an amazing girl and I adore her. We hadn't met in person yet but that day will come... If you know her, you know why I'm talking like this but if you don't just let me point out my reasons. Her writing is freaking awesome and you will find in her books love, loss, danger, desire, forbidden and hot stuff. Oh boy... She's the bomb... Beast is her latest release and it's the fourth book from the Savages and Saints series. Oh boy... This series... These brothers... These covers... Yummy... But let me just give you a heads up. For you to fully comprehend this book you should read the complete series. Read Torment, Gravity, Salvage and then, but only then read Beast... Trust me... This book explores the lifes of Abbott and London. Abbott is a tormented soul. He's a loose cannon about to explode. His choices almost become a tragedy but nothing can stop the war he has with himself. He's an MMA fighter and inflicting pain in others but mostly in himself is the only way for him to get loose. He has eyes for one girl but she's his best friend's girl and... London thought that life would get even, more perfect. She's pregnant and super happy until one day she's lost. Her boyfriend dies and now what? Now what? Well Abbott tries to save the day, to be there for her but how can he? Or even better... How can she? I'm speechless... I'm stunned... I'm all over the place... I can't talk let alone write... This book... Oh boy this book. Let me just say that I had great expectations about this story but it was even more beautiful than I thought... It was all and even more... Sublime plot, very well written, super engaging and intense. It was a bumpy ride but totally worth it. The feelings between each chapter, the doubts, the love in it was so big that made my heart tighten or about to burst. One minute I wanted to hurt someone but in a flick of a page I wanted to hold them. So many emotions at once. I'm stunned. Do not judge a book by its cover because behind all the pages you'll find the light... CM Seabrook you just stolen my heart... My soul all at once. I had been waiting for this book for so long but totally understandable. You created a masterpiece and I can't wait for the next one. When will we have Jasper's story? Soon? Lease say yes... I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
London and Abbott are best friends and he has always loved her but he doesn’t think he is worthy of her due to a secret that he holds from his past. He masks his pain behind women and alcohol but now that London needs his help he must step up and become the man she deserves.
London has loved Abbott for as long as she can remember. From his behavior she believed that they would never be more than friends so she moved forward with a relationship with his best friend, but she now finds herself pregnant and alone.
This is an emotional story filled with heat, healing and a second chance.
This was a sweet and swoonworthy story! I love the childhood best friends trope and CM Seabrook didn’t disappoint with BEAST. The flashbacks in this book provided so much insight into what made Abbott blame himself for so many catastrophic events affecting his family and friends. I loved that London was so persistent and deep down, Abbott was her one and only true love. A great instalment in this series!
Such a great story! I've been waiting for Abbott's book ever since his first appearance in the series. He's always been the troubled one in the lot and I wanted to know his story. I wasn't disappointed. Abbott and London's story was worth telling. There was a lot of disappointment and tragedy and heartbreak involved but, thanks to C. M. Seabrook's great writing, the story never felt depressing or too heavy. I felt the silver lining was there all along, they only had to make a leap of faith and take it. A great read. Fits perfectly in the series.
Another great book! I loved this story of a man who has no room to forgive himself, doesn’t want anyone else to forgive him and thinks of himself as a Beast!! The ultimate bad boy, who’s wreck-less actions seemed to hurt everyone he cares about. Will his true love be able to tame the beast? I love the characters in this story and how they never give up on each other... well, almost never! This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. I recommend this book/series!!
I've been waiting for Abbotts book since the end of Salvage (Savages and Saints #3).
Even though Abbott blames himself for Kyle's death (his best friend). He's also loved London (his best friends girl) from when they were kids. So to protect her from him, he's kept her at arms length. Even matched up his two friends together.
"I've fucked up a lot in my life, but this I can do. I'll be the best fucking friend she's ever had. And maybe in the end, some of the guilt that sits like a boulder in my chest will chip away." ~ Abbott
Since they were kids, Abbott saved London from bullies, and from that day Abbott's had London's heart. She doesn't blame Abbott for Kyle's death. But she needs Abbott more than ever since she's expecting Kyle's baby.
"Me and Abbott will never happen. Not unless I want to lose him for good. That's my biggest fear." ~ London
When her roommate moves out, Abbott moves in with London to help her financially and for when the baby arrives.
The guilt that Abbott's carried around with him is heart breaking. But London has always seen the good in him. And has faith in him to be a good man.
Can they keep things platonic? Will they give in to their feelings for each other?
Can be read as a standalone, but better read in order.
*I received a copy via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review*
Convinced he is worthless and can do nothing but hurt those around him, Abbott spirals into a self-abusive lifestyle including overindulgence in alcohol, women and other vices. Since his childhood, he has loved no one but London. Afraid that he will hurt her, he has always kept his distance, going so far as to introduce her to his best friend in an effort to make her happy and give her the family she wants and that he cannot provide.
When London's fiancee dies, leaving her pregnant and alone, Abbott becomes closer once again with London to protect her and provide for both London and her baby. Will he be able to keep his distance and protect her from himself?
London settled for her fiancee, knowing that the man she is obsessed with doesn't return her feelings. It becomes confusing when Abbott steps in to support her during her pregnancy - old feelings for Abbott that have never left her intensify, causing pain and frustration.
Will these two be able to overcome the hurts in their past to see what is in front of both of them now?
Abbott is at first a self-destructive character, with frequent mentions of drinking to excess, involvement in unsavory activities and random hookups. In order to step up for London and her baby, he will have to turn his life around and become the man she needs, rather than the somewhat amoral man that he is. His struggle to become that man makes this a moving and heartfelt romance.
Beast by C.M. Seabrook is such an emotional and beautiful story. I was so excited that I would be getting more Abbott Savage and I knew it was going to be a forever kind of love and it most certainly is. I was so consumed by Abbott and never wanted the book to end. His character is going to surprise you in so many ways. He's the perfect kind of imperfect.
London's character is such a sweet and kind young woman. I loved how caring and passionate she was about Abbott. I can't imagine how hard it was for her to always be in love with her best friend. Her and Abbott have so much history, so much chemistry and once they take hold of that love, you'll feel it deep in your bones. I loved these two together so much. They lean on each other through an awful loss, help one another to be stronger, and bring out the best in each other. Abbott's character is wonderful. I couldn't help but be drawn to him instantly. I knew underneath all of that broodingness was a man hurting, a man who has to fight through his demons to feel he deserves a love he should have never let go of. So be prepared to be swooned, feel their heartbreak, and be so absorbed by all the love this book is filled with. I loved it and Abbot Savage will break the hearts of readers everywhere.
I give Beast by C.M. Seabrook 4 out of 5 Abbott Savage Stole My Heart STARS!
What an amazing book! Throughout this whole series, Abbott has been the brother that is the trouble maker and I just didn't figure I would like him. Boy was I wrong!! This book gives us all of Abbott's back story and how he has been in love with London since he was just a boy. A major ordeal happened when he was younger and out of that he saw himself as the "Beast" and has basically acted like one since. He didn't think he deserved anything but especially didn't deserve London. So he introduced her to one of his best friends Kyle. To not reveal anymore of an amazing story, I'll just say that I absolutely fell in love with Abbott & London. It was so great to hear their back story, to watch them finally become a couple and I absolutely loved the epilogues - especially the second one and his present to her on Mother's Day. My favorite part of the book though was the new quote he added to his tattoo “He who accepts his failures and learns from them, can overcome the beast and be the man he was destined to become”. So amazing!!!
It was so great to hear from all of the other Savages and Saints, as well as the gang from the Wild Irish series. I love all of C.M. Seabrook's books and I can't wait to see who the next book will be about - Jasper or Liam. I'm thinking Liam but I can't wait no matter what. What an amazing series!!
Beast is the 4th book in the Savage and Saints series by CM Seabrook. Abbott is a fighter who is weighed down by all the guilt he carries with him. Abbott has been in love with London since they were kids and is always protective of her. London is a nurse and pregnant with Abbott's best friend's baby. Abbott feels he is responsible for what happened to his best friend, and he is afraid when London learns the truth about the fire that killed her father that she will hate him forever. London is also hiding a secret from Abbott that she has loved him since they were kids. Can Abbott become the man that London needs and deserves, or will he push her away like he has done before? Can London help Abbott heal? Can London make Abbott see he doesn't need to carry all his guilt around on his shoulders? Can Abbott move past his guilt and find his happily ever after with London and her child? Beast by CM Seabrook is an amazing story about forgiveness, love, passion, and family drama thrown in the mix. I really loved CM Seabrook's Beast. Beast is a fantastic book that this reader couldn't put down. I would highly recommend getting Beast by CM Seabrook and any other book in the Savage and Saints series.
This romance was unique in that Abbott is in love with his best friend's girl who is seven months pregnant. The tragic twist is that his best friend Kyle died a tragic death that he blames himself for. The story shows Abbott's self destructive behavior as he is riddled with guilt over Kyle's death and his love for London. This was actually a sweet but tormented second chance romance as London and Abbott were childhood friends and London had always known that he was the love of her life. Always trying to get closer to him while he constantly pushed her away. London never gave up on Abbott even though he continued to make bad decisions and was on a path to self destruction. I didn't care for the one night stands he uses to self medicate his pain, but I loved that he promised to clean up his act in exchange to having London stay with him until the baby was born. London's love finally penetrated his self destructive wall, and healing finally began. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Abbott was a sanctioned MMA fighter, until he got shot in the shoulder. (see previous book for how this happened) He has always been the black sheep of the family. London had moved around a lot, as a child, after her preacher father was convicted of fraud and spent time in jail. When she moved to Abbott's town as a child, she was being bullied until Abbott stepped in. They became friends for life, her savior. Later London's dad was killed in a fire when their house blew up due to a gas leak. Abbott believed he caused it from smoking, and didn't find out until years later that he didn't. Abbott and London fought the attraction they felt for each other and Abbott introduced London to Kyle, who was studying to be a doctor. He was killed (see previous book for the story) and Abbott took care of London who became pregnant with Kyle's child. Abbott was messed up on alcohol, drugs, and women. Can he ever turn his life around? What happens to the relationship with London? What happens to the child?

Abbott Savage is very mercurial. But one constant in his life has been his love for London. He loves her so much that he knows he's not right for her. Giving her to his best friend, Kyle. Now Kyle has died and London is pregnant with his child. What is Abbott to do? He doesn't want anyone else to take care of London, but he has so many demons in his past, he's not sure if he can take care of her himself.
Thank you to C.M. Seabrook for the opportunity to read and review this book.
I wish I would have known that this was part of a series, now I want to read the rest of the Savage's stories.
Abbott is also known as The Beast of Port Clover. He's a boxer, who uses his fists inside and outside of the ring. The only constant in his life is London. She's been in his life for most of it and knows his heart better than anyone. Can Abbott put his life of debauchery aside in order to get the girl he's always wanted? In this book, I really felt for Abbott. His heart is damaged from his own doing and he doesn't see that it can be healed.
I will definitely go and read the rest of this series.
This book is absolutely beautiful and emotional. It brings to mind Beauty and the Beast only this beast is self-made and a cage fighter through and through. Abbott rescued London from the boys that were teasing her when she first moved to Port Clover when she was just a little girl. That's the day they both lost their hearts to each other without ever knowing how the other felt. They became best friends, but when tragedy struck Abbott blamed himself and withdrew inside and became a beast at the young age of fourteen. He kept London at arms length and even pushed her towards his best friend, Kyle. When tragedy strikes again Abbott finds himself self-destructing all over again. He drowns himself in booze, women, drugs and fighting just to stay away from London. Can this beast of a man ever forgive himself and claim his beauty? Or is he destined to be alone forever? Grab this truly intense emotional read and find out today. Great read and I highly recommend it.

London and Abbott are going to take you on a sad but beautiful story with two people who were destined for the other.
Abbott has the universe on his shoulders. A broken man who carries so much guilt. He's a fighter and a natural protector who becomes so much more than a typical playboy. He's always been protective of his childhood friend London and over and over again is there for her.
London who is pregnant with Abbott's friends baby but tragedy has befallen him so Abbott wants to help her but underneath all the help is a man who is in love and don't feel worthy of her.
London has her own guilt. Should be grieving yet she still is secretly in love with Abbott while knowing he's in a downward spiral.
Can these two chase away the demons and do so in time for an innocent baby? Get ready....you are going to meet The Beast, who C.M. has made so much more real than any fairy tale story. He's human with cracks, guilt and a huge heart unlike any fairy tale male you've read about.

Wow what a book that will absolutely pull you through the wringer. I've read almost all of C. M's book's and my heart will always love those Irish boy's. This book just like her other's is a story of a boy (Abbott) who fell in love with a girl (London) he thought he wasn't good enough for that she deserved better.
He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.
Something happens that he blames himself for and as they've grown up Abbott has grown bitter and has hardened his heart, but London she see's the man he is and who he can be if only she can convince him.
“He who accepts his failures and learns from them, can overcome the beast and be the man he was destined to become.”
This book was one emotional rollercoaster of a book. I didn't want to put it down the whole time. This is a must read.
“London, you’re the air I breathed when I was suffocating. The light in my world when I saw nothing else but darkness. You saw me when I couldn’t see myself. You saved me...”
C.M. Seabrook has done it again!! The Savages and Saints is quickly becoming my favorite series. Beast is the fourth book in the series and the story if full of different emotions, which takes you on a rollercoaster. The story is well written and pulls you in from the first page. I loved it and couldn't put it down!!!
Beast is Abbotts and Londons story. Abbott is the black sheep of the Savage clan, a fighter, reckless and makes poor decisions. He is also broken. As his character developed in the story, I felt a pull towards this broken man and wanted him to succeed.
London is sweet. She has always secretely loved Abbott, despite Abbotts behaviour. They first met at school, and their story moves through the years. However, London is pregnant with Abbotts dead friends baby and needs help. Abbott is there for her during and after the baby is born, as he feels responsible for his friends death.
This is a must read and I highly recommend it!! Trust me, you will not be disappointed.
I absolutely adore this series, as much as I enjoyed Kade and Damon, I've been waiting for Abbott. You see, there's just something about a bad boy, and Abbott is as bad as they come. Tormented by his past, he has a self fulfilling prophecy. He blames himself for things from his past, and continually makes choices that confirm his bad opinion of himself. Worst of all, he pushes away the one person that has loved him since they were kids because he doesn't believe he is good enough, or ever will be good enough for her. London has loved Abbott Savage from the moment he defended her all those years ago. Always saw him for who he was deep inside himself. Watching him as the beast ruled his days, and nights, broke her heart. And now, after a tragic accident, they are thrown together again. Can she finally get through to him, or will this be just more of the same? Will the beast get the beauty in the end, or will he sabotage himself and end up alone again?
The Savages and Saints is one of my favorite series by C.M. Seabrook, so to say I was a tad anxious for Abbott Savage's story would be an understatement.
We've gotten glimpses of Abbott in the other books, and they never shed him in the best of light. He's the black sheep of the Savage clan. The bad boy. The fighter. He's a little dark, and a whole lot broken. He's reckless, and makes poor decisions. People think he doesn't care, but it's the exact opposite. If anything, he cares too much. Know one knows the dark secret he harbours inside.
Then we have sweet London. She's always thought Abbott hung the moon, despite him introducing her to his friend and friend-zoning her. Her love and faith in him never fails, despite his behaviour. She wants to bring him into the light again.
The regret. The love. The passion. The family dynamic. All bleed of the pages, making this book unputdownable.

I loved Gravity and Salvage so I jumped at the chance to read Beast as an ARC. I really enjoyed Abbott's book and his journey to becoming the man London knew he could be. Lots of tropes in here, but they are well done and written in a way that doesn't seem trope-y. My only complaint, if I have to give one, would be the "I am a beast, hear me roar" inner monologue that Abbott had. I got it, you're damaged, you're not good enough, etc. Luckily that ended before it became obnoxious. Otherwise, another winner in Port Clover! This can be read as a standalone but characters and events are intertwined, so reading the other books help with the backstory. This book was a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon. Now I'm off to read the one I missed-I feel like hanging with the Savages a little while longer. Enjoy!

Abbott Savage is the bad seed of the family, he is always hurting everyone around him. He drowns himself in booze, drugs, women, and fighting to numb the pain. There is only one bright light in his life, London, his best friend since childhood, he has loved her since they meet, but he refuses to bring her down. He really believes she is just too good for him. London has loved and stood by Abbott forever, she has been his constant through all his downfalls, Now London is pregnant and the father was recently killed. Feeling like he is to blame Abbott now he knows he got to step up and help London and keep their relationship as just friends. Abbott was in the other Savage and Saints books and in everyone he was getting into trouble and just not getting his life on track. I have rooted for his character and am so glad he found his redemption within himself, and his family and friends. It was a beautiful broken story that ended with me and a big ole smile on my face.
Come On! I am coasting on Seabrook overload! ( I love it! ) The Savage and Saints crew along with The Moody and Theo Fighting Duo, and talk of The Wild Irish all in Abbott Savage and London McClain's road to forgiveness, admittance, healing and true love! What a wickedly powerful read! I have always been a rooter for the underdog, and in this case, Ms.Seabrook does Abbott justice! Beautifully heartbreaking, with a perfect mix of grit, deep down emotional darkness, loathsome feelings and the rabbit hole that can accompany it- with humor, happy circumstances and family whether you want them or not.
The connection between these characters is felt in every interaction; I swear my heart beats increased, and I had butterflies and goosebumps with every line.
A perfectly imperfect addition to the Savage and Saints Series that has moved to the top of my favorites list!
London meets Abbott when they are kids and she's being bullied. After he takes care of the bullies they are best friends which continues to adulthood. London has always had feelings for Abbott but it seemed like he friend zoned her so she tried to move on. She started dating a guy he sets her up with and everything is going well until he dies leaving her pregnant and alone. Abbott feels like he is to blame and tries to help London but its hard when he wants her for his own. When he moves in to help her with rent and the baby things change between them. Will Abbott let his guilt keep him from claiming his woman?
This is an amazing story that will draw you in from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

4.75 stars Abbott Savage has always felt that he was the black sheep of his family and as the youngest brother, he sometimes went out of his way to prove it. London has been Abbott’s best friend since the time they were kids together and she has always loved him. As the two grew up, they were there for each other but just as friends as Abbott believed he was not good enough for London. Yet when London finds herself pregnant and alone, Abbott wants to step up and help. After everything Abbott and London have been through, will they be able to make a relationship work? This is one emotional read and brings to mind the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast. The reader just cannot help but fall for the complexities that make Abbott who he is; the good, the bad and the ugly but all is not as it seems. This is a beautifully written second chance love story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
*WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD* Abbott Savage feels so badly about himself that he does not feel that he is worthy of love, especially from the only woman he has ever loved, London McClain. He loves her so much, he wants her to be happy, so he introduces her to his best friend, knowing they would be a much better fit. All seems to be be going according to plan, happiness even increases when London becomes pregnant. Then, the bottom drops out of both London and Abbott's lives. London's boyfriend (Abbott's best friend) dies. Now, London feels that she is alone and doesn't know how she is going to raise a child alone. Abbott steps up and vows to be there for her. All I can say is thank goodness that these two finally see the light, because it was a gut-wrenching read at times. I really felt what they were going through. I absolutely LOVE this book!!!

We finally have Abbott’s story and we get a deeper understanding of why he was such an ass.
I did enjoy this story, but my heart hurt for Abbott and all the guilt he was holding. Apparently, London was his best friend and the only girl he loved, but because of his guilt he pushed her away and gave her to his best friend, Kyle. I liked London and the fact that she never gave up on Abbott even when he was being a major buttmole to everyone. I will say although they both loved Kyle, it did feel like they both kind of used him in a way, however, I don’t think they did on purpose.
Abbott, the Beast of Port Clover, had met his match when he was kid; now it’s time for him to become the man London believes to him to be or let the darkness win for good.
This is book 4 in the Savages and Saints series by CM Seabrook and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This story is about London and Abbott. This story is emotional, sad even, and, at times ,I had to grab the tissues. Abbott has a difficult past. He’s been through a lot and left him broken him but he is a fighter and won’t give up especially when protecting those he loves. Abbott has always done everything in his power to protect London. He’s protected her many times in the past and he’s there for her now. Abbott has secretly loved London for most of his life so when she becomes pregnant with Abbott’s friend who the dies Abbott steps up. Unbeknownst to Abbott, London is also secretly in love with him but the guilt over her feelings and not feeling grief is consuming her.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
