Milk and Money: A Parody

Rate this book
A good poetry collection has a tender soul that deals with survival, violence, love, and loss using the frailty of language. This is not that. Milk and Money , the unauthorized parody of the bestselling Milk and Honey , is none of these things, but it sure is hilarious. Milk and Money takes you on a journey of the most beautiful moments in life and ruins them, because there is a certain divine comedy in lackluster internet poetry. Nothing about this poetry collection lives up to the greats, but you’ll find it hard to put down.

Forgot to mark this as read last year and I'm cleaning out my tbr. It was funny but very much a one-time read but I enjoyed the parody

Unironically the most funny thing I've ever read. Boor parodies Rupi Kaur's style so well, but adds such a humorous twist onto the end of each poem. I will be purchasing this book for myself the first chance I get.

I wanted to like this book. I was open to a humor-filled parody of my favorite poet. But the humor was more miss than hit, and I couldn't ignore the fact that I was reading a parody of another person's account of sexual trauma and mental illness.

ok girl we get it. i think we got it after like 10 pages. i'm sure there's a certain demographic of people (millennials) that would enjoy this. i am not one of them. one fart joke is unoriginal but ultimately who cares. fart jokes on every other page made me want to put a gun in my mouth and pull the trigger. my fault for reading though. defo not in the target demographic.

funny i suppose but it’s too millennial.. a little cringe, but wayyyyyyyy less cringe than rupi kaur’s actual book. there were some funny poems!!!! too much about throwing up and drinking and taco bell, although that seems to be like super relatable or something but it’s not rly lol

It was a little funny, but not as funny as I thought it would be. However, there were a lot of relatable pieces.

Hilarious parody. Super fun to read out loud in a super serious tone. The cover is so similar to the original that you could confuse it, though. A great prank gift for a VSCO girl.

It's a funnier version than the original, with poems more about real life.

Read this in 30 mins and made me realize I romanticize my life too much. My fav part was writing dumb pop culture references on every poem

Not bad, I couldn't relate to any of the poems really which is probably a good thing. Hyped up too much.
