A very small board book for very small children. Fun because it is just a photo of the animal on the white background and the animals really shine in that focus. Also, it has more interesting animals like yak and emu! I'm adding "Wonder House Books Editorial" to my favorite authors list, based on this and the companion My First Book of Colours: First Board Book.

Some pretty awesome pets aren’t included, while some out-there quadrupeds are. Llama but no goldfish? Yak but no turtle? And Duck and Goose are plagiarized right from the same publisher’s Birds! Unless they’re recurring characters in the Wonder House Bibliographic Universe…

I’ve gone over this a few times with E and I feel like it’s his least favorite of all of these type books so far. He def interacts with it but has gotten bored and not let me finish this one all the way through without trying to wiggle off my lap.

Very easy book to start teaching about animals. Very sturdy as well against a 1 year old
