Okay, this was a phenomenal volume from beginning till the end. The first half of the book deals with Ban and Meliodas's adventure in Purgatory. Ban is THE MAN for going to hell and back for his friend. I loved all the scenes in the purgatory. The other half of the book resolves the issue regarding Estarossa. I'm not going to spoil it but I really liked it. I had my doubts about the whole Estarossa thing but man that is a great twist. Overall, a really good volume and I'm curious to see what happens next.

I really love this series, but I feel like I need to be taking notes after each volume just so I can remember what's going on, who's who, and who did what. At this point, though, I'm just along for the ride and the ride continues to be incredibly fun.

I was so glad my boy Ban came back in this volume and I adored the time he spent with Meliodas in Purgatory. I have to say, even though Meliodas isn't my favorite shounen protagonist, I have grown so fond of him thanks to his interactions with the Sins and with Ban specifically. You can tell what great friends they are and how they are there for each other and it warms heart seeing them together. Wild was introduced and readers are FINALLY treated to an explanation for Hawks's involvement in the story. You know, I would make a comment about this being waaaay too late, but I think I've beaten that dead horse to the grave at this point so I'll let it slide. I loved seeing Ban and Meliodas tell him about Hawks and the panel layout and artwork for this scene was funny and heartwarming. It may not have been super important to the plot, but the effort that went into that scene really paid off and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Getting the final bit of Estarossa's backstory was fine, especially since Gowthur was the one responsible for who he is now. I love how Gowthur was willing to take responsibility for his actions, but was devastated that King got hurt because of him. And yet, King refused to leave Gowthur and stood his ground. I am so damn proud of King and the development he's received over this series, he's seriously one of the best characters in the series and I adore him so much. Gowthur's character development paid off here as well, and I think its great that the two characters who had run away from problems in the past are standing their ground now and refusing to give up. I fucking love these characters, you have no idea.

That's about all I have to talk about. This was a great volume and I cannot wait for volume 34, whenever it comes out (not soon enough, that's for damn sure).

What a great volume. It is so nice to see Ban again, and finally see what it's like for him as he battles through Purgatory. I never expected anything like Hawk's older brother, Wild, but I'm happy about it. I can't believe the huge plot twists Nakaba Suzuki is still throwing into this manga! Estarossa never really existed? It was Mael in forced disguise all along? Wow, the sorcerer Gowther had some insane power. It touches my heart to see King defending Gowther (the doll one now) with his life, even though I'm sure Gowther doesn't feel that he deserves it. I like how many different people (read: races) are joining together now. Derieri has joined the Sins and Archangels in their quest to save Elizabeth. Tarmiel and Sariel are fighting against Mael, to protect him from his darkness (but hopefully also to protect Gowther and King too?). Zeldris' back story where we find out he had to kill the person (Vampire! First time I'm hearing about a Vampire race! I guess because Zeldris killed them all...) he loved is sad. I'm surprised he went through with it. I wonder what motivates him. Can't wait for the next volume to come out!

"...But before that, we're both respectable adults. We can't just be walking around waving our junk in eachothers' faces like this, can we?"

I was mildly spoiled for what was gonna happen but still, the intrigue of everything being new made it 10 times better.
Meliodas and Ban are bros goals and I wanted more of their story line in this volume.

Finally we get to see more of Ban in Purgatory and we learn more about what ended the last holy war which is really nice as it kind of explains some of the things going on now. An interesting twist and it is great that we finally get to meet the Demon King. And for the first time I actually find Gowther a little bit likeable but he is still my least favorite of the Seven.

Me sigue gustando... Y me sigue sorprendiendo.

The beginning of the series was way better. The ending won't be as good. At all.

A bit light in terms of action. But it earned the extra star for the script and theme. Friends and comrades all around, I love it!

---

Meliodas: You really are an idiot. You barged in here without even knowing how to get back out?
Ban: What else was I going to do? I couldn't just abandon you to this place.
Meliodas: Dumb friends are the best friends.

Gowther: King, no more. Your sentiment is more than enough. My death alone should suffice to lay this conflict to rest! So, King... please. I do not want to lose anyone else important to me!!
King: If you know how sad it is to lose someone important to you, then don't go talking about dying like it doesn't matter!

So much is going on and it's all going haywire! Things aren't as they seem, time is more wibbly-wobbly than ever, and alliances shift faster than waves on a beach.

But it's so good and if I say anymore I'll end up spoiling something. Just hang on and try to keep up.

This series has 41 volumes.
