4 Estrellas!!

Ok this is the book that I have been looking for since I started this series!

It was kick ass! I loved it! I even cried at some parts it was so good. It was a great ending and I have to say Luka and Alex are sooo much better then Lauren and Mishca! At least I didn't want to kill either one of them!

Loved every part it was great! Enjoy!

I love this series, I'm a sucker for Russian mafia drama. I love that Luka, one of my favorites finally has his own book. Alex the boss' sister being a ballerina also adds to this being right up my alley...but was very disappointed by this book overall. The implausible drug plot made it hard to get through. I didn't buy Alex, coming from this world being this stupid. I am not putting intellectual judgement on addiction itself, just the way this particular tale played out. We never find out the name of the drug this girl gets hooked on. We are also supposed to believe a mafia bred girl would seek out drugs from another organization, never know the name of what she is taking, and make herself that vulnerable for what? It would have made more sense to seek out a dealer in her own network. Thankfully it picks up in the last part, saving itself from the 2 star zone.

This is hands down my favorite book in this series

I loved Luka in the previous books and I knew I'd love his book.

I already was curious about Luka and Alex, and what the story was behind them, and i'm so happy I found out!

I never cry during mafia series because i'm too busy loving all the action, but this book messed with my emotions!
I cried through the last chapters, and I mean like ugly crying and all that.

This book was just perfect, and gave all the answers to what you might want to find out!

Like I said before, I loved this series but this book really stole my heart and deserves a spot on my Best of 2016 list

Pick this series up, it might be a slow start but the ride gets better and better!

I really enjoyed Luka's character through this series but after finishing this, I fell in love with him more than Red. This has to be my favorite out of them all.

>Book Review – Hidden Monsters
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 4th in the Volkov Bratva series and ends in an HEA. This book tells the story of Luka and Alex. Alex is a Bratva princess, but when her story is told, she is a real mess. Alex finds out in a previous book that her father is not who she thought, which starts her to spiral in to booze and drugs. I didn’t understand her reaction. The man she thought was her father never liked her and her mother always treated her like crap. She wasn’t dealing with any new behavior.
>Luka is attracted to Alex, but tries to stay away, until she really is in trouble and then he is all in. Reading Luka’s backstory in the novella collection “The City” is almost a must to get the jist of this book. Luka is the most interesting character in the entire series, but Alex seems too weak to be with him.
> This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. The characters get their HEA, but they really don’t seem to fit each other.

This book brake my heart. Valon ( Lukas ) has been dealing with really bat things thru all his life, since he was a child and right when he finally have a happy life, his worse nightmare come to chase him again. Such a great story of this two, I love Alex and luka , I think just a little more then Mish and Lauren.

Alex Volkov, the younger sibling of Pakhan Mischa Volkov, finds herself in over her head battling with a secret drug addiction as a result of hiding from the crushing inner turmoil of secrets revealed three books ago. This book is told in four parts complete with flashback scenes to earlier times.

Luka Sergeyev, Mischa's trusted enforcer, steps in and forces Alex to detox under his careful and watchful eye. Though these two had a strong attraction to each other in the prior books, the sexual tension really escalated in this book, only to pop off so beautifully! At the same time, enemies from Luka's past catch up with him and craziness ensues. Not to mention a semi-messy Christmas gathering involving Mishca's delicious evil twin, Klaus, and Luka's ex sex-buddy, Natasha...*naughty giggle*

Luka Sergeyev/ Valon Ahmeti

Alex seemed immature from what I read in the previous books and I wasn't sure if I'd even like her as much as I did in this story. She battled with her personal demons and failures in secret until Luka forced her back into reality, and then she thrived, not needing kid-gloves from anyone. I loved Luka even more after reading his crushing and gripping childhood-to-adulthood story in "Valon" and I had to find out exactly what drew him to feel anything for this rich, spoiled girl who turned out to be quite tough, stubborn, and endearingly hard-headed. Alex was far from being bratty in this book and this read was jam-packed with London Miller goodness! The writing is clear, flows well, and the timing is unfragmented. The level of action, suspense, and romance was ON POINT!

I'm a book whore for mafia/romance books with a cup of grittiness--Irish, Russian, Italian--whatever, I'll read it! And this installment of the Volkov series was most compelling! Can't wait to read the Irishman Celt's story and Klaus is just...everything that is disturbing and raw mingled with humor! And the Spanish Calavera, also a merc, sounds like she's solid and well-seasoned! In closing, the Boss side of Mischca was a bit more exposed in this book and there are multiple POV's that only made this read more flavorful. Characters from the prior books remain entwined and there was so much going on in this read (Loki, Lauren, Fatos) that I didn't want to put this book down. Loved the air of secrecy surrounding The Kingmaker and the Den. There's nothing about this book that I didn't love because the story was flawless! Again! Waiting patiently for whatever London Miller produces next...

Again Ms. Miller did not disappoint with this series. It seems I get more hooked with each new story I read and the characters I've grown to love. I laughed but mostly I cried with Luka and Alex's story, these two really got to me. I mean I knew I already loved Luka from the previous books but I wasn't so sure about Alex. But I'm so glad she proved me wrong and I really liked how her character grew and changed. And Luka, he can do no wrong in my opinion! Now on to Klaus's book, seriously looking forward to him!

Tried

I loved the first books and expected to love this one. However I found myself very disappointed. The book was too "wordy", to many paragraphs explaining situations and too little dialogue. I couldn't feel the connection between the two main characters because of this. Skipped through most parts because after reading through one paragraph describing a situation, it was too much to continue reading more paragraphs. I would have been more engaged in the story if it had more dialogue.

Ok I found this book on my Facebook feed and thought "oh why not?" And I have no regrets. I absolutely loved it. The raw emotions from both characters was so intense I swear I cried a lot! The ending was perfect.
The author is new to me but from now on. I will read more of her work.

Completely in love with this Russian.

Luka from the first book had me in love but in this end to love him, his sense of humor, his way of caring for everyone he loves, especially Alex, they do, in my opinion the best character in this series.

The story caught me from the first chapter and already in the middle I had tears in my eyes, Luka suffered so much that I just wanted a happy ending for him and I'm glad he got it with Alex.

Alex gave me a lot of sadness, I know I made bad decisions with drugs and Snow but she was with her head in a bad place after everything that happened with Anya, Mickail and the constant rejection of Luka while he fucked Natasha. It is understandable that she felt alone and depressed but I'm glad that in the end Luka helped her to overcome everything.

I have to admit that I liked Mishka a lot in the previous books but in this I wanted to kill him after he handed Lukas to the Albanians so they could torture him, the idiot behaved like his fucking father making me want someone to shoot him at least One leg, Same for Klaus.

I'm glad that in the end everything went well and that Alex and Luka were happy, but I think it would take me a while to forgive Mishka and Klaus.

Just I loved!

When I started read Mischa a long time ago, I was so seduced that he immediately became one of my favorite characters. Cold as ice and as imperturbable as only he knows Mischa Volkov is one of those characters that become in book boyfriend.

Something exactly like that, happened with Luka, when I started reading Hidden Monster I was very curious about both Alex and Luka and it was definitely is a story with a long emotional walk.

Meeting Luka so deeply was painful. And understanding Alex, was something that didn't take me too long, his willpower was admirable.

Hidden Monster is divided into 4 parts and each of them at the end leaves you wanting to know more, the author closed the necessary arches so that there were no doubts and I deeply appreciate that.

Two protagonists destined to meet, two painfully imperfect souls that, with the help of each one, are reborn again.

I like the way of writing of this author too much, London takes you to live every situation as if it were you, the protagonist. It feels great when a book leaves you with such a good taste in your mouth.

I loved, that tug of ears of Lauren to Mischa, seeing them so engaged is something beautiful.

I hope to continue having the opportunity to read more books by this author!

This was everything I hoped it would be.

Luka and Alex are my favourite kind of couple and the anticipation leading up to their story was intense! Having read Valon before Hidden monsters was crucial even though I was super tempted to skip it. I just wanted to see them get their HEA after being teased for 4.5 books!

I love that they kind of exist within their own world, that Mishca and Lauren don't know everything that is going on with them as it happens. Their relationship is much more intimate and private than Lauren and Mishca's was and that lent it a more delicious quality. It was easy to root for these two to be together. They both deserved that deep co neutron and companionship after years if loneliness and fending for themselves in their own ways. Luke as an orphan and Alex as a child abandoned by selfish parents.

Alex and Luka's characters carry depth that I really appreciated and there was no unnecessary drama that detracted from their journey-- even the Natasha bits weren't overdone.

This is going into my favourites shelf. I know I'll be re reading this down the line!

4,5 solid stars!!

What can I say, I just love this series. London Miller blows me away with her storytelling talents. This book is not a stand alone. Even if the romance between the MC is, there is too much going on and spilling out from other books that it's better to read this series in order for optimal enjoyment (imo).

Alex is Mishca's sister and has had a complicated upbringing. Made even worse when her true lineage is revealed. Luka has a dark history and secrets of his own and being the Pakhan's top enforcer, hooking up with said Pakhan's sister would be a bad idea. But the chemistry and attraction between the two is too strong and it takes unfortunate events before the H and h admit to their feelings. This story is about two broken individuals finding love. I loved reading about the complex character that Luka is and how he finally decides to open himself up for love...for Alex.

I also loved reading more about Mishca and Lauren which was an added bonus

After the other three i was not expecting this one to be this good. I don't know know if its because i had over hyped Luka in my head since book two of the series but i liked reading his story from beginning to end. I also have to admit i started to like Mishka more in this book, here he acted way more like the ruthless leader he was said to be. Klaus also grew way more on me here, he and Lukas are so similar with the same dark humor that made my day. I had read the mercenary books before this series so i already who he was also i new Celt too.

Ultimately this book saved this whole series for me. Thanks to Alex and Lukas.

I was looking forward to this one. I loved Aleks and Luka as characters so I was wholeheartedly on the edge of my seat for this one.. and I wasn't disappointed. It was after midnight and I was 80% in to the book crying (ok, that could be partly pms hormones.. but since it rarely happens when I read something, I'll claim its due to the book!). Their relationship was torrid, raw and passionate just like the character's themselves. My only gripe is that the ending was too quick. I waited a long time to see their HEA, the least they could've done is draw it out a bit. The pace was steady, the action had me on tender hooks and they're love was emotive, and perfectly imperfect. This one will resonate with me for some time.

2 broken people helping each other see the light. It was great to finally see Alex and Luka get together. This book had all the elements that I love. It was also great to have Loki in the story and he's such a great dog - gotta love him!!!! The last few chapters were heart wrenching and I cried for Luka. He had already been through so much throughout his life. My heart also went out to Alex for what she had been through and I understood her wanting to bury it all with the booze and pills but thank the Lord for Luka. Mischa pissed me off until we got an explanation but it still wasn't good enough in my eyes due to the torture that Luka had to endure.....once again.

Bratvia romance

Luke and Alex story of unrequited love. both are lost and need each other. stubbornly they avoid each other and find solace in detrimental distractions. Both are hiding something, both hurting alone in pain.
Definitely worth reading this one, I really liked it. It's kinda sad and tragic. Some violence and abuse.
London you need to write the story about mish twin, I'm hoping he ends up with Aubrey Laurens friend but I know he's probably end up with Regan.
I think I preferred this one to mish and Laurens story because the characters and storyline were perfectly delivered.

The story wasn't bad, but I'll admit I was hoping for more. I was so intrigued by Luka and Alex in the earlier books, and I did enjoy their romance. The flashbacks sometimes felt awkward, and there seemed to be too much time with nothing really going on. The pacing throughout was a bit off but particularly at the end--certain parts of the ending seemed to drag and then the part that I actually wanted was so rushed! Also, the epilogue was basically two pages of nothing, which was a let down.
