As the last brother to get married, I need a little help, and that's where my sister-in-law's American best friend, Leah, comes into the picture. She could u

Mixed feelings on this one. 3.5 stars

I definitely have mixed feelings about the story. It started out really strong and I was definitely loving Sean's character especially. But then the whining set in. Leah started her own "poor me I’m not good enough for anybody" routine and it put me off really badly.

There were a few other issues like inconsistencies in the story that twice caught me off guard and I had to go back and read to make sure they seriously were inconsistencies.

3 Sometimes Right In Front of Your Face Stars

Why is it people who are attracted to each other keep thinking of reasons why not to recognize the writing on the wall? Sometimes people just need to go for it...especially if there is a spark of friendship and chemistry. In Magan Vernon's Dirty Irish, this was the huge quandary which kept me at my wit's end. As part of the Murphy's Brothers series, the basis was a clause in Da's will. All three brothers needed to be wed by the year

This is a fun contemporary romance where the man, Sean Murphy, employs American Leah Harlowe to act as matchmaker and help him find a wife!

The Murphy family own and run public houses - lots of them. The business had been built up by their father who recently died and his will had a shock for his three sons. For them to inherit the business all three of them need to be happily married within a year or none of them will inherit the business. Two of the brothers have found the loves of their lives

Sean Murphy is in need of a wife and time is running out. The clause in his father's will states that each of the three Murphy men have a year from their Da's death to get married, if they all want to inherit the multi-million dollar family pub franchise. Sean is a star Rugby player, who has a passion and talent for the sport. He would rather be playing Rugby than handling his responsibilities as the company president, and getting married. However, Sean doesn't want to lose the family company or ...more

Sean is the last single Murphy brothers, which means he's watched the others find their HEA. Granted, each of their stories started with being forced, to be honest, to get married to secure their family's legacy, but it ended up working out for them. Will it for him? He loves playing rugby, and is darn good at it, however, being so focused on his career means little free time. Not that he's been lucky in dating, or prone to commitment, anyway.

Thankfully, his new bartender, and Fallon's friend, L

Dirty Irish by Magan Vernon a five-star read that has the luck of the Irish. This is the third novel in the Murphy Brother series, they each feature a different brother and they all flow into each other, but you could possibly read them as stand-alone but you will want to go back and read them all as each brother seems to be hotter than the last. Sean Murphy is a great man, I haven’t always thought that about him, in the previous stories he popped up and I wasn’t much of a fan, I have since come ...more

Dirty Irish
is the third book in the Murphy Brothers series and tells the story of Sean and Leah. Although this book is the third one in the series, it can be read as a standalone!

Dirty Irish is the first book I read by Magan Vernon, and I really liked it. When I got the opportunity to read this book, I immediately said yes when I saw the title. I love reading books set in Ire

This was my first Magan Vernon read, so I didn't read the previous two books. At times, it was confusing figuring out who was married to who, but I don't think it was that hard to follow along and this could easily be read as a standalone.

Sean's family owns Murphy's Pub, a large chain of pubs that apparently is a billion dollar business. After his dad died, they learned that in order to inherit the pub, each of the three sons had to marry within a year of his death. Sean is the last of the sons

3.5 Star Review Dirty Irish (Murphy Brothers #3) by Magan Vernon

Magan Vernon is a new author to me. I had no idea going in that this was the third book in the series. It can be read as a stand alone although you I think you would get more enjoyment if you were to read the previous two books first.

I was intrigued by the blurb for this one. Sean is the last brother to be married and thanks to his father’s will he needs to find a wife otherwise he and his brothers will loose everything. With this i

I have not read the two previous books in this series but I believe it's not necessary because I figured out fairly quickly whom everyone was. I am a big sports romance fan. This book follows the youngest of the three brothers of the Murphy clan in Ireland where he is a pro rugby player. There wasn't much rugby beyond his traveling for matches and a cute scene where he teaches Leah the rules of the game with her shoes as stand-ins for the player positions. Leah is a fiery Latina American in Irel ...more

LOVED this book! Sean is the rugby star that never grew up, but plays rugby for a living and enjoys the female fans a bit too much. Leah has just moved to Dublin for a job so she can help support her family back home. While Leah is attracted to Sean, she has vowed to never act on it. Instead, Leah has vowed to help Sean find a suitable wife so he can meet the terms of his father's will and keep the company (along with his brothers).

Like all of the best laid plans, Leah's plans fall apart after

A really nice end to the Murphy Brothers series! I have enjoyed following their journeys as they try to fulfill the marriage clause in their father's will to retain control of the family company.

We have seen a little bit of both Sean and Leah in previous books, but I liked getting to know them both better here. They both are different than I imagined them to be. Both are affected by past hurts and their opinions on a possible relationship are shaped by those people and situations.

This is the third book in the series, we met Sean and Leah previously since Leah was Fallon's friend and Fallon was married to his brother Connor. Sean had to get married to due what his father's will decreed and for his brothers to not lose their inheritance as well if he did not comply. I got all of that and the fake engagements scenarious but I have to say that I did not like Leah, I tried but she annoyed me to no end, I am glad that Fallon told her about herself but she still left a bad tast ...more

I received an advanced reader's copy of Dirty Irish by Magan Vernon from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I had never read anything by Magan Vernon before this and had no expectations either way. Happily, I did enjoy her writing style and would gladly read other novels in the future.

This was a novel in an ongoing series, but it was easy enough to understand the world and its characters. I'd like to go back and read the other books, but this was an enjoyable read with

Im pretty sure if Sean had his way his woman wouldn't wear clothes, "...don’t be jealous that you won’t get to sit with your brothers for hours and talk property while I take notes for you,” she said sarcastically, fastening her bra and spoiling my fantastic view." I like when Sean starting firing off text messages the man sometimes second guesses himself:
Sean: Did that make me sound like an arsehole? I suck at this shite.
Sean: Are you even reading these?
I liked this book, I loved Sean.

I read the other two books in the series and I’m glad Sean finally gets his turn finding a wife. Leah was a little hit or miss for me at times but I still really enjoyed them together.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I almost forgot how much I loved books set in Dublin, they have this magic that no other book has. This books was extra especial because it was the end of the Murphy Brothers quest to find a wife, and Sean the rugby player is the last one. I was kind of surprised that Leah and Sean were the last ones but I'm also glad, because it added to the story. Sean and Leah met at Fallon and Connor's wedding

Of the three books, Dirty Irish, was my least favorite. That doesn't mean I didn't like it I just liked it the least. I felt that Leah was petty with a lot of her decisions. She made such a big deal how she's doing what she's doing for her family but yet she wasn't thinking of that whenever Sean was trying to put his family first.

I started with book 3 of this series not always the best BUT the author Magan Vernon bring readers up to date quickly in the first few pages of the book. The story moves quickly as does the love hate between The American and The Irish Man. The characters are likable, sweet and human.

The story is very predictable as most romance stories are but it makes it easy to put the book down and return later.

The reason for the 3 stars is because this story is similar to another author I had recent and whil

Love a book with Irish men and Irish accents!!! This is the 3rd and final book in the series. I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest / voluntary review. I admit I have not read the 2nd book but I was not lost. I loved it. This is Sean’s story. He’s the baby and the last Murphy brother that needs to find a wife. He’s a famous rugby player too. He’s had the hots for Leah (Fallon’s best friend) since book 1. They have become friends and play word games on their phones. After ...more

Dirty Irish by Magan Vernon is book three in her Murphy Brothers series. I recommend to read the books in order. I didn't and was lost at first.
The previous books are Straight Up Irish and Irish on the Rocks.
Dirty Irish is Sean and Fallon's story.

I loved this third installment in the Murphy Brothers series. Sean and Leah were funny together, both wanting each other, but not quite sure how to define what they were. Their banter was cute, sweet, and at times, sexy. I liked them two together. They worked very well together as a team. But when the crap hit the fan, it really hit. That part was hard to read and made my heart hurt. However, the way it was resolved was pretty much perfect and far better than what I could have thought. This was ...more

I already liked Sean and Leah from previous books, and now I love them after reading theirs. These two are trying to help their families, while also trying to figure out how to help themselves. Pasts and futures are all they've focused on, but when they choose to focus on the present, it's better than I could've hoped for. I loved this entire series so much and I can't wait to read more from this author!

DNF at 51%.

So, this series is based the premise that in this day and age a father can leave his multi-million euro pub and whisky business to his three sons on the proviso that they must each be married within six months (and stay together for at least six months), otherwise the business will be offered to the highest bidder by the board. I liked the first one, I thought it was sweet, but I summed up my feelings on the second book as follows:
I really struggle to get my head around this series.

If you can buy the premise that a father left his billionaire whiskey empire to his three sons with the provision that they all have to get married within a year, you can enjoy this story of Sean, the third son on whose muscular shoulders everything is relying. His other two brothers have not only gotten married, but they’ve found their true loves. Sean knows he has to do this but he can’t seem to find an available woman though he can find plenty who want to sleep with him. A skilled rugby playe ...more

Ok, I may be a bit biased here because how many times do you get to read yourself into a book, HA! Bonus is a freaking hotty Irish rugby player. Dirty Irish by Megan Vernon is a sweet read. A romance you can see a mile away even though they cannot and you cannot say anything.

Sean Murphy has less than a year to get married, thanks to dear ol’ dad. Due to his Rugby schedule, dating is a little hard. Finding a wide, even harder. Add

Magan Vernon has been living off of reader tears since she wrote her first short story in 2004. She now spends her time killing off fictional characters, pretending to plot while she really just watches Netflix, and she tries to do this all while her two young children run amok around her Texas ranch.

You can stalk or...er...find her online at all of these fun and happy places.
