Shelves: recent-mystery
This is just the kind of mystery I like; an enjoyable "cozy" mystery in the best sense. Very well-written, interesting small town setting, well-drawn characters, enough twists and turns without getting bogged down in police procedure or endless rehashing of the evidence. It has a heroine you root for and a cast of possible suspects that kept me changing my mind on the guilty party until the final scenes. Page turner that kept me guessing

I love a good mystery and All The Deadly Secrets didn’t disappoint! The characters were well developed and believable and the story moved at a good pace. It kept me guessing right up to the end.

Plot, writing, development all mediocre. Gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because there is a glimmer of Ms Schaal’s future writing ability there. I do hope she tries again.

Mediocre short mystery. Far-fetched..central character has uniquely poor judgment, and the other locals are just nasty. Skip.

A very good read, just finished and did not guess the ending. Story moves along swiftly, maybe at the expense of some character development, but it doesn't detract from the story. I found myself powering through this book and felt satisfied at the end. Clues were scattered about as well as misleading facts to keep the reader guessing up until the end.

A solid first novel from Carol that I would recommend and I would definitely seek her out again.
