This book will be good for single lessons. The author links an artist with a single example of his/her art. Then, there's a way for the child to recreate something similar. I love the owl sculpture study about Henry Moore. Other worthy lessons:
I think that this is an excellent resource for teacher to use for incorporating art in the classroom. It can be used to talk about art history as well as talk about realistic and non-realistic objects. There is nothing like art to provide an opportunity to wind down and express themselves!
