This is a great series and this is a great addition to it! This has everything from magic to mystery from twists and turns to hot and steamy romance and fab characters and once started I just could not put this down! A fab series that is well written and highly recommended!

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. An Ill Wind by Christine Pope is the sixth book in the Witches of Canyon Road series. This is a brilliant addition to this saga. I love that Ms. Pope has an eye to detail and continues the story line by tying up loose ends and unraveling others. Tony Castillo and Cassandra Sandoval have what should be a straight forward task. But when has anything gone right the first time out for the Castillos or the Sandovals. This amazing read will pull you in and spin you around ...more

Chalk up another winner for Christine Pope! As much as I anticipated the release of “Ill Wind”, I was delighted at the unexpected we have come to expect from Pope. Tony starts out much as we would have thought, not very motivated to achieve a great deal in life, continuing to cloister himself in the party-man persona he has nurtured throughout his adult years. Cassandra, however, is an all business firecracker from another clan, sent to retrieve the grimoires. Things did not happen as planned an ...more

Christine Pope is one "Adventurous" Lady. Her writing style, and imagination can keep me busy for hours. Things are really getting interesting now in Book 6 “An Ill Wind” of The Witches of Canyon Road series. I must say this is an amazing continuation of what happened to the dangerous stolen de la Paz Grimoires. Packed with twists, magic, and steamy romance this book definitely delivers. With the only clue being a slimy residue reeking of Escobar magic it takes Tony Castillo and Cassandra Sandov ...more

Awesome Book! Another great story in The Witches of Canyon Road series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to all lovers of paranormal romance/suspense stories. Even though you could read this book as a stand-alone, the story will make better sense if you start off with Book 1 and then sequentially read each of the other books in the series. “An Ill Wind” is filled with adventure and peril as Tony and Cassandra take it upon themselves to retrieve the stolen grimoires. Read along and ...more

Another wonderful read from Christine Pope in the Witches of Canyon Road series. As with the other books in the series, this can be read as a stand alone as she explains the basics of the other books in the new book. This time we learned more about Tony Castillo, who happens to be Rafe’s cousin.

Finally we deal more with the books that have haunted the Castillo clan since the first book in this series. We follow Tony and Cassandra Sandoval, of the de la Paz clan, as they reclaim the stolen books.

Tony Castillo has the whole playboy persona down pat. He doesn't have to work due to a large inheritance but he is finding the whole party-go-ground a bit...frivolous and downright boring!

Cassandra Sandoval should have been a cop like her father, Jack. She is a bit of a Miss Marple - she totally missed her calling! When what should have been a quick bag-tag and drag magical books home turned into a whirlwind journey across countries, She finds out what really lies beneath the perfect playboy per

OMG!! I soooo hope Gabriel will b ok and safe asap!! Hopefully he'll get 2 b in another clan 2 fight his bro asap!! It's really good that Gabriel isn't like the others and he didn't hurt Tony's mom badly or kill her like others would have. Even though they decided 2 keep secrets from the other so they can explore they both found out that their love was there between them and unexpected but it's really good that they don't want 2 give up what they have 2gether. Hopefully in near future they could ...more

This is the 6th book in the Witches of Canyon Road series and I found it less engaging than the previous books. I thought Tony was too laid back for the adventurous Cassandra and the journey they chose to undertake. He just seemed “along for the ride”. Cassandra was a go getter and was a more take charge person while Tony was just kind of drifting thru life in general. I appreciated the glimpses into previous book’s characters. I look forward to Ava’s book next and hope there is a book for Gabri ...more

An Ill Wind (The Witches of Canyon Road Book 6) by Christine Pope
A set of grimoires that contain dangerous spells with black magic are stolen. Cassandra was sent to pick them up and take them back to the de la Paz clan. Tony’s family, the Castillo clan, had been protecting them. When they find Tony’s mother incapacitated and the books gone, Tony and Cassandra go in search of them. Adventure leads to romance and fun. It was fun to see offspring of beloved characters.

Another installment in the Witches of Canyon Road series. I liked the continuation of the story of the grimoires, and thought overall the story line was engaging. I didn't care for Tony or his lack of motivation. Cassandra was a more interesting character to me. Overall I do enjoy the Witches series and am always glad to get to read another. ...more

I as always I wasn’t able to put the book down! I don’t want to give anything away but the ending was a huge cliffhanger I want to know more about and I can’t help but hope the next book who will be a part of that story! Thank you Christine for always keeping us happy!

Canyon road

I really enjoy this new series which is a follow on from the older series but has extended family members in it.
I'd love to hear more of how those extended family are doing, somewhere within the stories.

Hair raising

I found this book intense at times and I think the book went a bit to fast. But it was another good read.
