No one screws with my family.

My sister and I are human orphans raised by the world's best assassin, taught to steal and kill our way through the dragonlands under her watchful eye. Grown men fear us, and no one knows we're coming until it's too late to run.

Irena and I-we're good. The best. In a dog-eat-dragon kind of world, we have to be. But someone betrayed us. Someone

It can be better.

I liked the heroine when she was on her own but when she met the other dragons whom I assume are going to be in her harem , the entire book just became to much. They all like her, they all soften towards her, they will all eschew their family just to be with her, the whole RH nonsense.

The book was also very long, in a good book that's a terrific thing but this book was sub par, it was annoying. The heroine kept doing the same thing over and over again. Its like 200 pages too

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 because really it was super close. I absolutely agree with everyone else who has said this book did not feel like the 500+ page its reported to be. The pages flew by. Action packed from cover to cover. I was super involved from the very beginning. The story itself is super rich and all the characters displayed great arc so far. All that being said it was a little hard at the beginning to figure out what was going on.. There isn't much backstory or world building right ...more
Rory is part of a league of assassins/thieves called the Spectres. They hate dragons. A recent mission has left Rory's sister poisoned. When Rory and Zurie (the head of the Spectres) try to steal the antidote from a dragon crime lord (Mason), they are captured. Mason's form of torture backfires when instead of being killed by ancient magic, she absorbs it. From that point on, Rory is basically on the run from every dragon in the world yet she is still trying to save her sister and Zurie. She ...more

Wow it so didn't feel like it was 500 pages it just flew by so fast. I really like this book, i read all three books in a row, they where that good!
Sheena ☆ Oh, the Sheenanigans!

Action? Check. Romance? Check. Badass heroine? Double check. If you're looking for all the above, ding ding! You have yourself a winner. From page one, "Reign of Dragons" was a fast paced action packed reverse harem romance (which could've been done without to be honest) novel that left me in awe with the refreshing concept and badass characters, main and side included. Cause I mean who didn't love Tucker and Levi? And just when you thought the novel was over, BANG! The author announced

I hate it when people write ill researched roles!

While an assassin who defects from her group makes for a pretty back story, the role portrayed is unbelievable. Within first few chapters, the heroine gets caught in a trap (under tutelage of even more famous assassin), fails to achieve her mission, barely survives multiple attempts on her life (only because of lack of her enemy's skill), willingly walks in a trap again, allows humans and God knows how many dragons to track her (easily, I might
Surprisingly fast paced.

Reign of Dragons was pretty good. It kind of started with a bang and never really let up. In it, you will meet Rory. When her sister falls ill, Rory goes out to look for an antidote. Unluckily for her, she gets captured and thrown into a pit. While there, she is supposed to die but that doesn't happen exactly.

Nope, Rory gets blessed, or something like that, by a group of dragons. I feel like this book left out some information because I kind of felt confused or lost at

Hell hath no fury like an assassin scorned

Rory is a machine. She's given a target, a mission, and turned loose to destroy. She's very good at her job. Someone doesn't understand this, though. They do something very stupid, like kidnap her sister, and then the woman that raised them both. They decide to get rid of Rory by kicking her into a pit of magic, that so far has killed everyone else. Oddly enough, it doesn't kill Rory. Instead she gets fancy new dragon powers. She could take on dragons

Misleading title

Rory is extremely dangerous and hardened, but she has a soft center. She is a great character with a bit of a tortured soul. I really enjoyed her.

The men that she has found are all very different from each other. The title is misleading since only one of the dragons actually is in the dojo, which is actually an embassy. The lies and deception make everything interesting and having an important mission to save her sister gives this story great appeal.

I don't really know how I feel about this and the final episode (in fact the whole 8th season) of Game of Thrones has put me in a bad mood regarding story telling, so I'll be brief.

There's lots of potential here for a good story, but it's just too long.

688 pages my kindle told me. Well, it was about 300 pages too long and I skimmed an awful lot of the last third.

The first half was so slow wihh the MC just doing the same thing in loops. She was sort of likeable, in the sense that you got her

I can't stand a series where the FMC is keeping secrets the whole book. Why am I 80% in and no one but her knows "who and what she is. No one can know ever." The whole book, really? Its annoying. She's an assassin... really. She feels like a civilian to me that got thrown in a pit to collect some magic. This could have easily been a four star from me.

There are lovely mysteries and complications in "Reign of Dragons" by Olivia Ash. The heroine is strong, yet her world is uncertain. Questions of trust and purpose, of values and the price paid for your actions pepper a story which races along at high speed. Entertaining!

This was an interesting premise to the book and so far it is so good. A lot of action, fast paced and making me want more. All the things I love in a book.

This book starts out with a bang and the action never stops. Rory and her sister have been raised by Zurie and trained to be Spectre. This group does a lot of stealing and is totally anti-dragon. When Rory's sister falls ill, Zurie and Rory go looking for a antidote. They are ambushed and Zurie is captured. Rory is captured and thrown into a pit where she is expected to die, instead she is given great powers by a group of dragons. Now everyone is after her.

First off, somehow I was able to get through this but it definitely left me yelling at my kindle in places. And not in a good way.

First off, the world-building was terrible. We had no history of how the dragons became such a force in the world, if dragons are the only para-species on the planet, if we were dealing with a contemporary world with the USA and Europe (examples) still in play, what the year or date was, the location of any of the scenes except the last fight scene, what

Some imperfections in the storytelling and world building, but overall I loved the characters, the pacing, and the story. I'm some ways reminiscent of Anita Blake by Laurell Hamilton, I love a tough woman who becomes softened yet fiercely protective of those she loves. As the mysteries build, we get some answers (and secrets revealed) by the end of the book, yet still plenty to Keep us wanting to read Book 2. Strangely enough, I have grown bored with too much sex in books so this book

This is alright, needs to have a bit more plot development, but it's decent enough (a bit too gratuitous)

I was really surprised by this book. It was well written with a good plot. I took off a star because I do feel like some of the writing got to be a little monotonous and it wouldn’t have hurt to have a better editing team as there were quite a few grammatical/spelling errors.

A Dragon's attraction

I loved this story. The characters were phenomenal. The development of all of them was simply fantastic. Kudos to the author. I was riveted by the twists and turns in the storyline. Recommend highly this one is a keeper folks.

I read books 1 & 2 of this series, reviewing both.

At first, I was so thrilled. I crave heroines like Rory--she's got skills, she holds her own in a fight, she doesn't take shit, she knows what she wants. And I was totally on board as Rory is ripped away from the life she's always known--as an assassin for an anti-dragon organization--and forced to start a new one, as a vessel of the dragon gods.

She's out of her element--as an assassin, she kept to the shadows. As the vessel, all the dragons

Could’ve easily been four, but not quite.
What I loved about this book is the uniqueness of its fantasy world. The humans and dragons live side by side and there’s technology and it’s not some of sort of dark middle age setting (not that those are bad, but just that this setting makes the world in this book unique). I loved some of the characters- Tucker and Levi especially. I really did appreciate the imagination in the world building. Also liked that the book was a super fast paced

Decent read

Over this was a nice and entertaining read. Not necessarily the greates, but still enjoyable. Rory (can I just say I so dislike this name... please say it's short for something, because a bada$$ assassin doesn't not need to have this name) is a very stubborn and sassy woman who sticks to her principles. She is in control of her life, that is until she recieved magic from the dragon gods. Now everyone is out for her one way or another... I really enjoyed Tucker, until towards the end

I’ve been needing some more strong women in my books and Rory delivers. Plus dragons!!!

Rory is trained to be a dragon assassin and belongs to a feared/hated dragon assassin group where she was trained to be a lethal weapon. Everything changes when a mission goes wrong and her sister and mentor are taken while she is left for dead.

She survives and vowels to revenge the man that caused all of this. During her journeys she discovers that not all dragons are bad and given a choice - she’d

Awesome! Fabulous! What can I say? I loved this book!

This book is one of the best I've read in RH fantasy. Truly intriguing storyline with considerable depth but without being too complicated to thoroughly enjoy. The world building is captivating and interesting. The Four male love interests are delightfully very different from each other, each is entirely his own individual. There is exactly the right amount of romance and sexy times that is neither too juvenile nor overdone. I really liked

Fierce FMC, Smoking Hot Men, Action Packed!

This was such a great read. The FMC takes n prisoners and leaves you wondering what her next move is going to be. I am left wanting to see what these dragons look like through art. The way they are described, they are simply beautiful, majestic creatures. This book really puts a different spin on your typical dragon book. I absolutely LOVE it! The guys? I really need more! Tucker is my favorite, but Levi... I really need for something to change there, I

Oh. My. Wow! What a story! Author Olivia Ash is a new-to-me author. She is now a favorite and I'm gonna stalk the hell out of her for now on. I loved EVERYTHING about it. Rory was everything you love in a strong heroine. She is wickedly smart, unfailingly kind, and she is a badass extraordinaire. This book was about the journey as much as it was about the relationships she formed along the way. There was intrigue, deception, hot dragons, introspection, and cautious, tentative relationships.
