Do you want additional sources of income outside of your job? If so, you are in luck because this is the greatest book ever written about money and investing according to the author. It is a guide on what to do with that money that you have left over when you get paid. We give a step by step guide on how to position your money so it grows on itself like a bacterial infection, whilst also shielding itself from extreme market forces. We talk about shares, bonds, precious metals, cash, real estate and all the other stuff that make great conversations at parties. Spoiler alert, we don't just tell you to buy houses as everyone else does. We also talk about lifestyle options and methods on how to spend less of your hard-earnt money. We talk about how to structure your investments, so you are protected from market crashes, and also able to benefit from growing markets. If you can stomach it, we even have a guide on how to read a balance sheet when buying shares. That's the end of our sales pitch for this book. I hope you buy me.
I don't know why I had this on my reading list in the beginning with but being a short one, I gave it a shot.
The book is an easy-read and describes a mostly no-bullshit approach to build one's wealth that felt humble and honest. Probably okayish book for somebody getting started with their journey to building wealth. Wouldn't count on just reading this book, though.
I already buy ETFs monthly, don't spend my money on unnecessary luxury and live in my own not-too-expensive apartment but I'm not planning to put my money into gold or silver. But I did get slightly interested in bonds. Probably a bad idea but I might just take a look. Anyway, the book probably had no impact on my investment strategy but gave me a bit more perspective.
