A good distraction for Madison. She was staring at the ceiling light and this book took her attention away from that.

My first book! Daddy read this to me. My favorite part was the red apple with the green worm up high.

Maybe this high-contrast color palette is good for early baby eyes? But a lot of the illustrations just felt weird to me. Like, I found them visually disconcerting. (I also did not love some of the attempts at rhyming couplets -- in part because I felt like the rhythm didn't match across lines.)

This was just a huge hit at my baby/toddler outreach. The only baby in attendance had already left the room by then, but oh boy did the toddlers LOVE it! The bold illustrations were really satisfying regardless of their age. We named each animal and practiced our counting and colors.

May/June 2026: Mama loved this so much that it became baby’s half-birthday theme! Catchy illustrations and rhythmic text! Baby loved the colors and pictures!
