When the stern, handsome Irishman she has been flirting with online moves to New York, Lacey Porter is shocked to discover that he’s taken a job with her company and he will be her new boss.
Liam O’Connell soon makes it abundantly clear to Lacey that he will be the one in charge, both at work and in their budding romance. But will their relationship end up costing him his job?
Dom/Daddy and a professional boss in one book? Yes please!
This ones a bit all over the place. Too many ideas and not enough detail to make it work.
I do enjoy the struggle to understand from both sides. The relationship feels real.
Just based on my first sentence, I expected to really enjoy this one. Unfortunately it was more tedious than thrilling. Lacey is too combative and Liam is too lax. I can deal with emotions, I love a good cry. But this back and forth is fucking grating.
I’m glad to say that Liam found control and Lacey found peace. But that ending left much to be desired. What can I say? I appreciate a neatly wrapped package.
What happens when you've been dating online for two years and you suddenly find out he is moving to the USA? Lacey doesn't know that her online date is her new boss. To say they're both shocked is an understatement. How is this going to work out? And what happens when someone tries to break them up? Oh, this was a wonderful story and I loved it. I was immediately drawn into the book and it kept me turning the pages! I hope this author will be writing for a long time.
Her Bossy Daddy By Adaline Raine is a daddy dom novel that I listened to on audio narrated by Jack Calihan.
This is the first book by Adaline that I have read/listened to and it definitely won’t be my last. This book has a spin of an office romance and a daddy dom relationship. Adaline does a great job pulling you into the story. I just had to know how it was going to end.
Jack did an amazing job narrating. I really enjoyed the different voices he used for each character. But my favorite was definitely his Irish accent for Liam. I look forward to his finding other projects that he has worked on.
Lacey and Liam have been seeing each other for two years. Liam is Lacey’s dominant. They have been long distance until Liam gets a promotion and winds up working in the same place as Lacey. Things get steamy quickly. Lacey is terrified of what his being there will change for them. She’s terrified of not being good enough for him. This story was okay. It wasn’t really my thing. I was kind of curious because I’d seen people talking about it constantly on my social media feed. That being said, I don’t think it’s a bad book. It’s just not a book for me. I’m sure that there are plenty of readers who will find this book amazing. And I’m very happy for them. I can say that I managed to get through this book very quickly. I had no real connection with the characters at all. I somewhat related to Lacey because people made snide remarks about her weight. It’s like if people don’t meet society’s standard of beauty, they are nothing. That’s just how it goes. But I digress. I had no connection with the characters, and I didn’t really feel any development in any of them. That could be because of my personal preferences though. The narrator was great, but he just didn’t fit this book. I feel like this book would have been told better with a female and male duo. I could even recommend some narrators for the job. I also feel like if Liam was Irish, he should have given Liam a more Irish accent. As I said though, he isn’t a bad narrator. I just don’t feel he fits this particular book. This was a decent book. It’s a refreshingly short read and isn’t all that horrible. I can’t say it was my favorite book. I will also not be rereading it at all. But it was a decent book. For those of you who like the lifestyle and more erotic stories, have at it. I fully recommend the story to you. I will say this. I did enjoy the cover very much. It is very attention-grabbing.
His was a very different Daddy/Little read which started from a very different perspective with the relationship actually starting as an online interaction that had been working extremely well for them both but that was now undergoing a big change with them both finally coming face to face. Lacey is beautiful and intelligent but she has very specific needs and these are not easily met so when she first found her kind and dominant Irishman that was so willing to love both side of her personality as a little and a grown woman. He stood for no nonsense and was willing ti discipline as and when necessary, will love be enough to see them through the trial’s life is going to test them both with. Will the both find their happy ever after? I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of the Loving You Again series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Liam sexy as all get out online daddy for a couple of years now, wanting to meet his online little and one day he is introduced to her face to face. Lacey a little, has an online daddy and was just introduced to him face to face (yep, she faints). Needless to say, he is a great daddy just as he portrayed online, he arrives in New York from Ireland with friends and family already in the US. Lacey is a brat for the most part, sometimes the things she does/say are questionable but understandable when you are a brat. Liam display true daddy patience when dealing with Lacey and her antics but with the twists & turns, jealous thrown their way do they get through it, is he meant to be her forever daddy and can they find happiness?
Donna L 4.0 out of 5 starsEasy Read March 26, 2019 Format: Kindle Edition I liked the premise of this story where a long distant, two year online relationship between Lacey Poter and Liam O' Connell is strained when Liam moves from Ireland to New York.Lacey's reaction when she realises that her Dom is now her new boss was to say the least extreme. So how does she react?,she initially ignores him but Liam has other ideas. He will not put up with her bratty behaviour and efforts to sabotage their relationship.Lacey's is caught lying about being sick backfires when Liam turns up with an old fashioned thermometer and a strong hand.I enjoyed this book for the most part but thought Lacey was immature at times. The story was relevant in these times due to how many couples meet online.A worthwhile read.
I love being taken out of my comfort zone, and this story does just that. Her Bossy Daddy is the story of Liam and Lacey. They are an online couple, never having met personally and now find themselves face to face at work! Liam is Lacey's new boss, and their chemistry is palpable. But will their online relationship translate to real life? Adaline Raine has taken today's dating and put the twist of age play into the center of it! Lacey is a character I had trouble connecting to, at times immature and just bratty. Liam has that real feeling of protectiveness which I love. But not only is this a daddy book, but it has an interesting side story as well. It's a quick listen, steamy, and fun.
Jack Calihan narrates this with a raspy,Irish accent. With his voice, you feel Liam's take charge personality both at work and at home. He makes this an easy, enjoyable listen.
Liam and Lacey have a long distance BDSM/DD/lg relationship. Then Liam announces he is being transferred to New York, where she lives. Lacey freaks out a little so she is not ready for the change this will dictate. Then, she walks into a meeting to introduce her new boss and there is Liam. Lacey faints.
I enjoyed this book by Adaline. Liam and Lacey are engaging characters. Their relationship has a lot of starts and stops because Lacey can't get past the idea that she doesn't deserve Liam. And like all good daddies, Liam works to change that.
The author does a great job bringing us a great workplace/BDSM romance. I liked the story line and there were a few steamy scenes that were great. This one us centered more around the role playing and obedience in daily life aspects of the BDSM lifestyle instead of only the bondage, etc. in the bedroom. I wish that I had connected with the characters sooner; as soon as I started to really like them the story was over. Also, the plot felt kind rushed at the end. Overall, it was a good afternoon listen that was a refreshing detour from usual BDSM romances.
The narrator gave an excellent performance and fit Liam well, he also has a pretty decent girl voice for a male narrator. Really liked the Irish accent that was used throughout. First time listening to this narrator and I look forward to more of his performances.
This story was definitely different from what I normally listen to. The Daddy/little girl aspect has previously freaked me out but I feel Adaline did this trope in tasteful way. I am glad nothing of a sexual nature happened during the Daddy/little girl time and that those moments were used as a way for Lacy to escape and de-stress in a non-sexual way. The BDSM aspect of the story was definitely more prominent and I enjoyed that greatly. Overall, this was a sexy, eye-opening listen!
Jack did amazing with the audiobook. I love his accent and how he was able to do so much with it!
Lacey is a perfect little for Liam. She is bratty and needs some control. She has not known Liam's touch until he becomes her Boss. She cannot fake anything now. Liam has patience with her, and Lacey benefits from that patience because every other chapter, she is being disciplined. Liam takes it slow, but introduces Lacey to the real world of Daddy/Little. Lacey heats up the pages with her reactions to Liam.
Jack Calihan narrates this story. He has a voice that is easy to listen to. His Irish accent is swoon worthy. This was fun to listen to.
No more hiding behind the computer screen for Lacey!
A reflection of what can happen when an online Daddy Dom/Little relationship shifts to a real life, face to face relationship. Lacey's brattiness is equally matched by Liam's ability to handle such, creating a flow of the story which leaves the reader wondering what will happen next, as well as in the stories end.
This was my first Daddy Dom Read. It was a good and interesting read. I really liked Liam when he was in Dom mode and Lacey was a complete brat no matter what mode she was in lol. This book has an Irish Pub, a hot Irish Dom, a confused and bratty submissive little, nasty coworkers and love.
This was my first book from Adaline Raine, and my first listen to a daddy/age play story. OMG! I can tell I was totally out of my comfort zone. Despite that, Lacey and Liam's story was fun and steamy. If you like daddy/age play's stories, I think you should like this one. Jack Calihan did a good job with the narration. #AudiobookObsession
This story is done well. Liam and Lacey are a good couple. I just adore him. I will say Lacey is different. This is an interesting journey. The writing and flow of this book is done well. I do recommend this book.
This was a good story about two people workin on a relationship hen there are big changes. Lacie and Liam keeps you wanting more. New to me author and i will be looking to read more from Adeline Raine
This is a good book! Liam is stern, caring and Irish! All the yummy things he said and did...yes, please! Lacey irritated me a bit as the book progressed. Here she has a fantastic Dom/Daddy that is finally in front of her after 2yrs of online dating and she's pushing him!? I wanted to tan her behind myself!
Lacey panics when Liam says he's moving to the states for his job, what happens when he really gets a look at me and meets me in person instead of over Skype.
Decent story. I didnt care for Lacey. Even when she was being punished she never stopped being defiant and her supposed issues weren't really that severe. I kept waiting for there to be more to her overly rebellious attitude but she was just extremely ridiculous. So much so that it made finishing the book difficult. Liam was wonderful and patient as a dom should be but the story just didnt fit with her over the top behavior.
Let me start off by saying, this was my first daddy book. I must say, I was intrigued by the dynamic and could see the appeal to some. Dynamic aside, the story was well written. The Characters were easy to connect with and root for. I would love to know more about where their story goes.
Narration- Narration was AWESOME. Jack really did an amazing job with this. His Irish accent was absolutely to die for. It was well read, had the perfect amount of feeling and was very enjoyable to listen to.
I read a lot of spanking romance books and am a big fan of “Daddy” genre stories and Adaline Raine, so when I saw this book I quickly grabbed a copy. After reading the first few chapters it started sounding extremely familiar to me, so much so that I went back and searched my reading history. Sure enough, I had read it back in 2019 and had even posted a review. Oh well, in for a dime in for a dollar so I decided to read all of it again and see if my original review stood the test of time and was a fairly accurate account. I am glad to say that it was, so here is what I wrote before and stand by today: “What happens when a long distance, on-line, D/s relationship suddenly transforms into a face-to-face one? That’s not all, let’s further complicate it by having that first time face-to-face happen at work where he (Liam) has just been introduced as her (Lacey) new boss!! Her emotional reaction is so overwhelming that she faints and we get our first glimpse of him as her safety net. There are so many levels to this off the charts relationship, coupled with so many office politics and jealousies, that the rapid pace almost leaves the reader breathless. It turns out that Liam, fresh from Ireland, already has many friends in New York and a sister living in Florida. All of these characters play critical roles in the story as well. There are many moving parts to this story, not the least of which are some very erotic spankings and graphically sexy sex scenes. This story has it all: great characters, spankings, sex, suspense, action, and a loving relationship. It also leaves the door open for a sequel featuring Liam’s sister (Reagan) and his best friend (Ronan). I sure hope so. 5 STARS”
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
"If I can forgive you for the way you've been acting, then you can also forgive yourself."
One of the first full novels of a DD/LG relationship I have read and I am so glad that it was this one by Adaline Raine. Adaline brings us the turbulent story of Lacey and Liam!
Lacey and Liam have had a long distance relationship with Lacey being in USA and Liam being in Ireland. When Liam gets the chance to relocate to NY for work he takes it and discovers that he is now Lacey's boss. How will they handle the multiple new dynamics in their relationship?
I love this book! There is a great balance of hard and soft moments. Lacey drives me up the wall a few times because of her repeated behavior however Liam has the patience of a saint. He truly embodies what a daddy should be for his little girl! This is a great book that I am happy to have in my book collection!
The novel was well written with believable characters engaged in a realistic lifestyle dynamic. Lacey is a bit on the bratty side and depicted well in the writing and narration. Liam is the irresistible Irishman. The way this story develops is so atypical of this genre that it was refreshing and more fun than some of those I have read recently. I am always impressed with Jack Calihan and his incredible narrative ability. This is the first novel I have read by Adaline and will be adding anything else she does to my TBR list with anticipation of an excellent reading experience.
This is not a type of book I usually read/listen and is the first book written by Adaline Raine I have downloaded. I really enjoyed it! I will read more of her books in the future for sure!
Adaline really does a good job of making you like the characters and you want to see what happens in the end! I couldn’t wait to hear how Liam and Lacy’s relationship would evolve and i loved the happy ending!!
Jack did a great job as the narrator! His sexy voice helped you like Liam even more! I will definitely find more of his narrations and download them!
Liam had the patience of Jobe to put up with Lacey's brat attitude, pushing non stop, and not trusting him. He should have cut his losses and moved on. Lacey needed a therapist for her low self esteem and raging unchecked mouth. She made everything at home and work so much worse. She had no self control like an unmedicated person with ADD! Lacey wanted this relationship but she fought it every step of the way . Smh! I loved the narrator's Irish accent.
