Liz Westmoreland, who always dreamed of taking over her grandparents inn in Angels Creek, was overwhelmed when she stumbled upon a listing for the inn, which is going up for auction. Her grandparents had sold it many years ago, much to Liz’s disappointment. She decided to bid on the inn, even though the auction is right away and she doesn’t have time to see it beforehand. To her surprise, she wins the auction and heads to Angels Creek to fulfill her dream. But when she a ...more
Thanks to a great job and tidy little savings, she not only puts in a bid, but she is also the winning bid! Alas, the place was gutted to put in an art gallery and now the place looks nothing like what she remembers.
Matt is just hoping the new owner isn't planning on the same thing. And when he sees her, his ch ...more
I don’t read a lot of holiday stories but I’m so glad I chose to read Nancy Naigle’s Christmas Angels. The combination of hope, loss, spirituality, romance and joy made it a great read.
Liz and Matt were a great couple whose work relationship I loved watching slowly evolve to something much more. The authors’s wonderful secondary characters and description of Antler Creek brought the town and story to life. Even leaving the possibility of a spin ...more
The book was well written, but at points was repetitive, very much so, and got a bit slow. Ironically, the end was rushed.
Overall, this was just an okay read for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's press for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
Liz’s favorite childhood memories are of the time she spent in Antler Creek with Pop and Gram. She could not believe it when her grandparents sold their lodge, Angels Rest, and decided to travel by camper to see the world. She thought the best place in the world was exactly where they were l ...more

This slow burn romance between Liz and Matt was heartfelt and realistic. The secondary characters that surrounded Matt and Liz were loveable and caring. I wished that I was part of this wonderful town where everyone joined forces to make sure that the Christmas spirit of the past was bought back again for all to enjoy.
This was such a sweet good feel story that will leave you happy and looking forward to sharing Christmas with your family and friends.
Many thanks to St. Martin ...more
This book is destined to be a Hallmark Christmas Classic, I can see it now! I love it because it’s set in NC - which is where I live, and Boone is mentioned a time or two - as well as Appalachian State - which is my Alma matter! But, most importantly, the story involves such sweet and wholesome characters that are out to make the world a better place for themselves and the people of Antler ...more
