Another silly adventure!

The Bad Guys in the Baddest Day Ever by Aaron Blanket is book #10 in the series. I love this middle school kids books! They seem to always have something only an adult would get, like in this one Legs the spider was calling for help saying "Help me, help me Rhonda!"
I really liked this one because they start out sad because they are having a funeral for Mr Snake when the aliens come. So does the girl heroes. It ends very clever and funny! (As usual!) Fun read regardless of

The Bad Guys series is such a big hit with my boys who are 8 and 10 years old. Episode 10 did not disappoint. We usually read the books together, so I love hearing them laugh throughout the book as Wolf and his buddies get themselves into trouble and then save the day. Piranha and Snake are quickly becoming favourite characters! Love this series!

Six word summary: Joint animal forces save the day!

Loved: This series is so fun and silly. I will forever keep reading these! In this particular edition, I loved some of the subtle pop-culture references and the surprise ending for one of the characters.

Recommend for: Any MG audience and anyone looking for a cute, quick GN pick!

Reminds me of: The humor of the Lunch Lady series mets the rag-tag team troupe with animals.

First sentence: That’s lovely.

Premise/plot: Question: Should readers be able to pick up any book in a series and make at least some sense of it. Should they be able to grasp at who the main characters are, how they relate to each other, and what the general plot of this specific book is?! This book is the tenth in the series. I couldn’t tell you anything about the characters—though my guess is that it is a team of somethings (could not for the life of me tell you what animal/creature any is sup

Snake is dead, and the Bad Guys, as well as the League of Heroes, are gathered for the funeral. Faced with the evil Prince Marmalade, who is determined to take over the universe, the two groups decide to band together, becoming the much cooler named Shadow Squad G. They need to find a way to defeat their conqueror, even though the don't have super powers! Luckily, Legs is stowed away on board Marmalade's ship, as is Rhonda, and the two proceed to voosh!

I have absolutely nothing to base this on since this is the first graphic novel I've ever read, but for adults it is a very easy read. The drawings are incredible and the story is easy to follow. It is the typical bad guy needs to be stopped by a group of good guys (and girls) so nothing new there. For younger children I can see it would be a tad overwhelming even though there is no direct violence so I would keep that in mind. There was enough to keep my interest but not enough to make me want ...more

Number 10 is here! I really enjoy this series of "bad guys" trying to do good and save the world. This is a great funny series for kids to read. Whenever I get the chance to, I always recommend this series. Loved that ending, can't wait for the next one. ...more

I loved the first couple of these books and I LOVE Aaron Blabey but when I jumped to this book I was quite lost with the new characters and what happened to Snake so I didn't get into it as I usually do. Luckily the ending was great with a great moral and made me still love the series and author. ...more

Mr. Snake is dead and the the good guys club and international league of heroes are mourning his loss. Dr. Marmalade is further invading the Earth. Instead of two different groups, they form one group called Shadow Squad G. They fight and when they are almost defeated, Luke Skywalker from Star Wars, the Jedi returns? No, it's not Luke Skywalker, it is my favorite - Mr. Snake and he has absorbed all the superpowers and is pretty powerful now.

Mr. Snake gives all the other aliens a chance to free t

{My thoughts} – This book begins with The Bad Guys all discussing the death of Mr. Snake. If you can recall from the last book that he’d fallen off the space ship and they didn’t know what happened to him after that, so they were left to assume he’d died.

The Bad Guys and the Bad Girls take the time to discuss how they are in need of a name change. So they come up with The Shadow Squad G. Once they have a name they go with it because it is different and it helps to include both the Bad Guys and t

While most heroes look fierce, this gang does not. In order to defeat the evil Marmalade the Conqueror, two teams of superheros must team up to take him down. The new group fights to take down Marmalade!

This book would not be my first choice if I were choosing a book to read but can see how it would be appealing for young boys. The book has good graphics and an exciting plot. This books would be a good book for free read. I can't really see this book being used any other way in the classroom.

Prince Marmalade has decided he's now ruler of Earth. Things sure aren't looking good for the Bad Guys and the International League of Heroes. It seems Marmalade can block or stop anything they throw at him. It seems hopeless, but is it?

Another great twist. Another moment for great character development in Mr. Wolf and others. And lots of great fun. This reads like it could be the conclusion to the series but there's foreshadowing of maybe another book at the end. Recommended to reluctant reader

The Good Guys are back! Minus one major good guy. There is chaos everywhere and Mr. Wolf and the others are in mourning. The Good Guys and the International League of Heroes take a united front and band together to defeat the aliens with a new name for the team in mind. Can they possibly stop the aliens from taking over Earth? And who exactly is this mysterious figure who comes out of nowhere and what is their intentions?

Review from a 5-year-old

“I liked so much when I saw that Agent Hogwild was named EmmyLou because I am named Emmy Lou too!

I would recommend this book to Daddy because Daddy is nice.

I gave it 5 stars because it’s so nice with my name in it.

My favorite part was when the pig said her name.

‘Hey dude, you already said that Chico’

I know.

So, the last thing I want to say is goodbye goodbye goodbye!

Bye Bye”

AS always another great quick read! This book had me clueless as to what was next, I thought one thing would happen, but something totally different actually happened. I'm definitely not the intended age group for this book series, but that doesn't matter I tend to like little kids books anyway. This book had me loving this series even more, everything about it is great. Can't wait to see more, and what other deeppP things we'll find out about next. Really curious about Mr. Snake, pretty worried too. Aaron, you have made yet another fantastic book, keep it coming. ...more

Definitely not one of the strongest books. There wasn't much plot to this one besides learning some background and now (on BOOK 10) the main characters real names. Honestly if this were the first Bad Guys book you have picked up this would have been such a let-down. ...more

Shocked to like this book as much as I did. It only took me 10 in the series to read one since the Bad Guys are almost always checked out in our library. Humorous, easy to read and full of action! Plus kid friendly!

I liked that this one had the most resolution of the stories (a hint of something more to come but not a cliffhanger). I didn’t really get the whole sharing their real names and I’m not a fan of “Super Squad G.” Still a cute and fun book though.

This addition to this incredibly funny series is every bit as unpredictable as all the others. As always, I can't wait til the next book to come out. My only complaint with these is that they are so short and I so, so want more. ;) Perfect for reluctant readers. ...more
My son is a huge fan of the Bad Guys series.
The MCS are without their powers, but Snake comes back and saves the day.
The plot and the characters are interesting. I like this series much better than Dog Man.

We heard about this book from other 1st graders but when we went to the library they only have this one available. We decided to read it anyway. I don’t know if my kids will ask to read more of this series. It wasn’t my favorite and we have a hard time reading the comic book style books.

So this series is so cute, and this volume was no exception. I like that the characters all revealed their names. The characters are cute and fun. The plot was good and I like how this volume wrapped up this story arc. It was well paced and fun. I look forward to the next volume.
After losing their super powers, Mr. Wolf and the Bad Guys team up The Badder Girls, and form Shadow Squad G to take on and stop Crown Prince Marmalade, and his evil plot to take over the universe. It's a battle to end all battles, and restore The Bad Guys back to being loved and appreciated. ...more
