Sissy's Romance Book Review
Love Most, Say Least by Jolie Vines is book Two in the Marry The Scot Series. This is the story of Beth Grace and James Fitzroy. I have read the previous book and felt you could make this a standalone one if you wish to do so.
Beth didn't have the best childhood and now she is 18 she is trying to clear up a past mistake with the law. James is set to inherit his family country estate if he can be married by 21. James is set in his mind that he will have a loveless life because of it but he is

This is the second book in the Marry the Scot series and after finishing this, I seriously could not decide which one I liked better. Maybe it's because James and Callum are both so different. In any event, I picked this book up and devoured every page. I couldn't get enough. The characters, the plot lines, the scenery and suspense... All of it was perfect! James and Beth were so perfectly matched for each other. Both quietly broken and afraid, both having lost so much. It was impossible not to ...more

I have to say I enjoyed this second book in Jolie Vines' Marry the Scott series even more than I did the first. It features the quiet and mysterious James... and Beth, roommate to the heroine in the first installment.

I love that this book turns convention on its ear with a worldly female main character who is comfortable with herself, her body, and her sexuality. James is the one who has led a sheltered life and he is really at odds with himself about what his future holds.

You see, James grew up

Really enjoyed this second book in the series. James has so much to work through and Beth has so much spunk. Loved reading their journey to their hea. They make a perfect pair and help each other. A real team. Definitely recommend

Can I just write a review on James Fitzroy instead of the book? I’m so sorry if this is James dominant but I’m in love with him! Where do I get my own James? I want him to be a real person, hug him and thank him for everything he has done. I don’t think I ever related to a male character like I did with James.

This is book 2 of Marry the Scot Series, James and Beth story. Callum and Mathilda’s (from book 1) best friends. Read as standalone but starts at the same time as Callum and Mathilda’s

The second book in the Marry the Scot series is just as scorching as the first! I fell in love with James immediately, and Beth was such a relatable heroine. Her hard work and determination to help others were perfectly countered by her vulnerability and a slightly naughty streak.

James was a typical Vines hero: a man who realizes what (or who, in this case) he wants and just goes for it! Put in an impossible situation, he shows such amazing strength.

This series is a perfect swoon-worthy romp

A match made in Scottish heaven

If a couple that’s completely opposite yet seem to make each other better is your kind of romance than this book is a must read for you. James has a load of baggage and has difficulty interacting with Beth. Beth is outgoing and does everything to not only survive but to care for her foster mother. These two face difficult situations and overcome them only strengthening their relationship. Read through Kindle Unlimited

This was a good read. In this one we have Beth and James. They both come from very different families. However, their love is strong. Which is good because they were tested. Thankfully in the end it all works out for them.

Love Most, Say Least (Marry the Scot #2) by Jolie Vines is a steamy, contemporary romance told in first person dual POV. Although it's the second book in the Marry the Scot series, it can be read as a standalone.

Twenty-year-old James Fitzroy is the tenth Earl Fitzroy and in order to inherit Belvedere, his English estate and family home, he must meet the requirements of a centuries-old will that applies to every eldest son in his line. He must be married by his twenty-first

When I received a request to review an ARC for an honest opinion, I conducted a bit of research about Jolie Vines, as she was a new author to me. I found out quickly that she is a new author to everyone. Love Most, Say Least is Vines's second book. If it's any indication of her forthcoming books, she will quickly become a beloved author.

Love Most, Say Least (one of the best titles as it comes from a Tennyson poem) follows James and Beth, two people from different worlds. James has been groomed

Ah, the second story in the Marry the Scot series. If you loved “Storm the Castle”, you’ll love this one. My favorite thing was that the author started the story with a recap of how James and Beth initially met. The story of the weekend they spent together in bed sick is expanded upon and explained. In other words, this is James and Beth’s story and a good one it is.

James has always been a speak when spoken to young man. He is now 20 and lives with Callum and his brothers in

Oh how this book melted my heart. I knew by the end of Storm the Castle (Book 1 in the series) that I was going to love James and Beth and Jolie didn’t disappoint.

Beth and James are polar opposites. She’s a former foster child working two jobs to get by and help out her foster mum and he’s heir to a fortune and a title. However, they both have suffered great personal tragedies and both carry the weight of the world on their shoulders.

I felt a connection with Beth from the very beginning and it’s

This is the second book in the Marry the Scot series. This could be read as a standalone but I have read the first book and loved it as well. This book is about James and Beth., both of these characters have some things to move past or resolve and what better way than to twist up a story to see it all unfold. James is pretty quiet guy and he currently resides at McRae castle and is watching and learning about running an estate from Callum. James needs to get married by the age of 21 in order to ...more

My first read in the series. Good writing, with some high drama brought on by a first-class villain in the family and some cold fish employers. The romantic leads, high speed loving Beth and mega rich orphan James, had great backstories. I was first attracted to the story because of the mention of a Scot (he's actually only half Scot, but I won't hold that

When Beth Grace crashes into James Fitzroy's life, he is blown away, first by her fearlessness, then by her beauty. He is an earl, and will inherit a huge estate on his 21st birthday - if he's married first. She has nothing, was a foster child for years, and is working every hour she has to help her foster mother care for the brood of kids living under her roof. When James invites her to spend a weekend in Scotland, Beth jumps at the chance to see how the other half lives.

As James and Beth

Love Most, Say Least is the second book in the Marry The Scot series by Jolie Vines and it was even better than the first (which was pretty hard to do). Our heroine is deathly afraid of letting anyone get close to her. And when she meets James he knocks her off her feet (well the reverse is a bit more true, lol). And while she'd love a night with him, she doesn't want anything more. James, on the other hand, has resigned himself to living a loveless life and is caught off guard by the emotions ...more

James is a perfect example of "still waters run deep"

The weight of the world sits on James' shoulders, and the only thing that brightens him is the unpredictable force of nature named Beth. As these opposites get to know each other and figure out how their hearts and lives perfectly entwine, they fall in love with each other almost as fast as we fall in love with them.

This is a fabulous second published book by this author, who demonstrates a clear talent for writing witty banter, situational

I am so in love with this series. I cannot wait to read the next book, but first I should talk about this one. The title comes from a poem that James' mother loved to read. You will have to read the book to see how James uses it in wooing Beth. From the first chapter to the last, this book is full of action, suspense, love, intrigue and will have you turning page after page. It is a long journey for James, the scarred and lonely man and Beth, the emotionally injured and orphaned girl to find ...more

Second in the series, just as compelling to read. I loved how this book started when these two met in the first book. I am thrilled to finally see what made James who he was. Two such guilt-ridden people find love together and know that happiness overcomes all. A couple times in the story, things happened that I thought would send Beth running, and I was surprised at her staying power. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I highly recommend this and the first in the series. I look forward to the ...more

These Scottish men are giving me unreal expectations and I don't even care. James and Beth really make a great pair for each other, both quietly broken with deep hurts and misgivings. They complement what the other lacks and help the other to become their best self. The characters, the plot, the beautifully depicted scenery, and the suspense make this a must read.

Love Most, Say Least (Love those Scot's) This Scot's philosophy is to be seen and not heard.

An unfortunate accident and a manipulative Uncle has this man's life on a tight leash. Falling in love, and learning the truth are real eye openers. Trying to break free from the deceit of his Uncle is a whole other story.

My favorite stories are ones that include characters from earlier books, so this one has become one of my favorites. The main characters from Storm the Castle make an appearance, and

Since I hadn’t read the first book in this series, I wasn’t that enthralled by the first few pages...but once I got into the story—Ohmigod!! This is a kickass book, with a masterful storyline; characters which literally steal your breath away; an evil uncle you’d love to dismember and feed to the wild things; and a truly stunning HEA that shows that love will always win! This pair couldn’t be more different. Beth is eclectic and out going. James is quiet, rarely speaks, very introverted and a nice guy. This one didn’t wow me quite as much as Storm the Castle. I kind of hate when events I already know about are retold but from a different prospective. Luckily it was just at the beginning. I’m glad I persevered because after that I LOVED these two. Guys hot sexy Scotsman here! We have another winner!!!I highly recommend this book.

I loved the second instalment in this series. We hear James and Beth's story this time, who we first met in Storm the Castle. James just pulls at your heartstrings as we get to know why he doesn't speak much and it's up to Beth to show him that she needs him as much as he needs her even though it doesn't seem like it. I love that Beth is full of confidence and goes for what she wants, including James, even if it does seem like he's out of her league. I love that the author brought in characters ...more

Loved it!

Loved this story of James and Beth and his fight to get out from under the evil that was his uncle. They both had such history that it was wonderful to see them get together. This book, I think, was even better than that of Callum and Mattie. This is one you should read!

I really liked that our couple met in the first few pages and what a meeting is was! Good humor early on and unexpected twists and suspense made for great reading. Left a small handful of unanswered questions but nothing that spoiled this story. I hadn't read the first story in the series and certainly didn't feel like I was missing anything but I am now keen to go back to the beginning.

A story of insta love, when Beth meets James while picking up her friend. Beth seems to have not the best luck so when James offers her to come visit him she accepts. In a whirlwind romance they are drawn to each other. There's a dash of suspense, some laughter, some steamy scenes in this fast paced story. I received an ARC of this and volunteered to review it.

I loved this book! It is a wonderful, action packed romance story. The characters are perfect for each other and you can't help but to fall in love with them. I really enjoyed Beth and James' story. There are so many wonderful characters in this book. I love how the book overlaps with the story and characters from book 1. The ending is great and leaves you excited for book three.
