I admit the first though that popped up in my mind when I started reading this book was how it reminded me of the show Undercover Boss.... I loved it. it was such a fun unique twist to this office romance that it made the reading that much more enjoyable. Lucus is such a cocky little boss that it felt great watching him essentially eat his words and Alicia is such a strong minded stubborn person that i could not help but fall in love with her character. So wish I could give a book more than 5 stars

Discovering The Truth

Wow. Lucas was oblivious to everything around him, until he found himself in a conundrum, in both his personal and professional lives. Alicia's personal life wasn't all that she wanted it to be, but Fate decided it needed a shake up. This book was very hard to put down, as it touched my heart and it was beautifully written. The lesson I got from this story, is that we need to always be aware of people around us and how we may come across to others. I also realised that it is good to take constr feedback and change for the better. The story is not just about self awareness, but also has romance, some off the charts sexual chemistry, drama and also entertainment. The author did an amazing job to hide the culprit who sent the worm very well, as I kept suspecting different people, as the storyline progressed. It is a definite must read book.

This played into my only reality TV weakness Undercover Boss. It is nice to see a wake-up call to a Boss that is totally disconnected from his workforce. He was trying, but clueless. It was handled well and I could actually accept the change in his attitude which in a book is hard to convey. The love story between Lucas and Alicia was sweet, romantic, and hilarious.

This was another great installment from the Falls Ranch, Texas series,,,, some great adventures these employees have at the therapy ranch and all the changes that have happened at Carlos & Sam DeMott's Ranch,,,, if you haven't read the first couple books, it's really worth your time to go back and read them ,,, or, start the series before you start this book,,,, it really is a great read either rather alone or if you start at the beginning,,, some action, some adventure and some very steamy moments all add up together to be a great series,,,, looking forward to another installment,,,,,!!!

Lucas Mitchell was the founder and CEO of Alchemy Enterprises. Steve Dunham, Vice President of Operations, was dealing the cards at their monthly poker game. When Lucas bluffed, saying Steve must love him to give him such great cards, Steve promptly told him no one loved him because he was the boss. Simon Michaels, a bit tipsy, agreed with that statement, which took Lucas by surprise. No one spoke up to defend him. All nodded in agreement of the fact. So Lucas bet them that he could find four employees who liked him or he would take the entire company of 250 people to a company retreat at Falls Ranch in Texas.

To put the bet in motion, Lucas goes undercover wearing a disguise. He meets Alicia, a social media manager. When they both felt attraction for each other, they ended up spending the night together. Sadly, however, Lucas does find out that the employees love working for the company but do not really like him personally because of his arrogant attitude. Lucas was truly surprised and, with that upsetting awareness, he left the field office and never told Alicia why. Will she ever find out who he really is? Will his team-building effort help to turn things around for him?

This was a cute story and a time for Lucas to see himself as others see him. That’s not always an easy things to do; and it often demands making changes in yourself. Can Lucas change his behavior and treat people the way they should be treated? Or will he ignore what he learns and go back to the way things were? I loved this book! It is funny and sexy and HEA all the way. It is one man's introspective journey after a bet forces him to face hard truths about himself. Add a sexy woman who stands by him even after he betrayed her, and you have a great story! Jillian has created intriguing characters, vibrant individual and group dynamics, and a colorful background. From Australia to Texas, this book will grab hold, pull you in, and whisk you along for a tremendous ride. There are even some old friends from "Kissing the Protector".
This is the story of Lucas and Alicia. Lucas can't believe his employees think he is an arrogant, self-serving jerk. Playing "undercover boss" he learns they are right. Along the way he falls, hard, for Alicia. She falls just as hard for him - or should I say for his undercover persona. But Lucas is a man of his word. He takes the entire "work family" on a teambuilding retreat halfway around the world. While there, Lucas finds out he really doesn't like the man he has become, and vows to make sweeping changes, to himself and his company. But he wants to do it with Alicia by his side. Once Alicia figures out his deception, she isn't ready to forgive him, even though her feelings threaten to overwhelm her.
These two will have to overcome deception, betrayal, hard truths, honesty and their own pride and fears. There is someone out there that wants to bring down" the man" and the company with him. It is fast paced. The sex is steamy. The team building is marvelous. The introspection, eye-opening. You will love this book! I couldn't put it down.

An accidental office romance.
I gave this book 5🌟 it was really good.

I believe that Jillian Riley can do no wrong....her books are all Fantastic, Chocolate Fudge Delicious! I love her style of writing, her storytelling always leaves me happy and wanting more. This one was funny, entertaining, different, emotional, showed that people can learn some humility, chemistry was believable, not to much sex (but that's ok) love flourished at the end!
Lucas Mitchell was the founder and CEO of Alchemy Enterprises he was arrogant and full of himself. Alicia Taylor she was their new Social Media Marketing Manager, she was new to the company. Alicia was smart, sexy and beautiful unfortunately she always had a thing for the emotionally unavailable male's.
So another reviewer said that this reminded her of a show called " Undercover Boss" and she was so right.... It did remind me of that show!
Lucas made a bet at poker that he could find 4 employee's in his company that liked him as a person & CEO. So he decided to go in disguise to one of his company offices with a survey to find out for himself what his company thought of him as a CEO? Well let's just say what Lucas found it's not exactly what he was looking for. He did find Alicia there; found her hot and beautiful Lucas was interested in her at first glance. Alicia found him interesting, cute as hell, but she had no idea he was her big boss CEO in disguise. They did kiss and it was sooooo on fire 🥰🔥.
The rest you will have to read to find out. This is definitely worth reading, no cliffhangers, the book is a perfect length with a satisfying HEA ending.

Lucas Mitchell is the CEO of Alchemy Enterprises. During a monthly poker game with his top executives, one of them brings up the fact that the employees don't like Lucas. He can't believe that nobody likes him and a bet between them ensues. If Lucas can find 4 people that like him, the executives give up a month's salary, if not, Lucas has to take the whole company to a company retreat in Texas from Australia. Lucas changes his appearance and starts at a field office disguised as Luke Johnson from America. While in the office, he encounters Alicia Taylor, a new employee with the company and is immediately taken by her. Over the next few days they spend some time together while waiting for the employee satisfaction survey results to come back. Although the results aren't what Lucas is hoping for he can't resist Alicia. At the retreat Lucas realizes that his employees are right, he's not the leader he could and should be and he reveals his deception to Alicia. She is hurt but on the end Lucas finds his way with his company and into Alicia's arms. A wonderful story full of great characters. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read!

When Lucas is told by some friends/employees of his company that no one likes him he bets them that he can find someone that does like him. He goes undercover in his company and learns how people really feel and think about him. Alicia works social media for his company and when they meets sparks fly between them. They end up sharing an amazing night together. However Lucas is upset to learn that even though his employees love working for his company they don't really like him at all. This causes him to give up and lose his bet leaving a confused Alicia behind. Once he is done with his undercover gig he knows that he wants to change how he is seen by people and starts making changes. When Alicia finds out that Lucas is her boss she is stunned. Will Lucas be able to convince her to give him a chance?

This is a great story that will draw you in from the beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I loved that this book is about the corporate world and how unconnected some of the CEOs can be. They live their high style and take all the credit that hard work their employees did.
Lucas is one of these CEO type of people. It took a bet from some of his executives, who he considered friends, to go undercover and try to find four people in the company who liked him.
Alicia was hired to boost the social media aspect of the company and was fairly new when Lucas shows up as Luke, conducting a survey. She finds herself attracted to the CEO, Lucas from podcasts he did, and she was attracted to Luke, not realizing that they are the same person.
I loved that Lucas took what he learned not only from the survey, but also from the retreat, and instead of allowing it to bring him down. He learned many lessons.
Wish this would happen more in real life in the corporate world! Loved the premise and how Falls Ranch Falls was incorporated into this book.

Loved, loved, loved this story!!!! Jillian Riley has written a lovely, heart-warming, touching story with steam!!!

Kissing the Alpha Boss involves Lucas, owner of Alchemy, who makes a risky bet, and his newly hired Social Media Marketing Manager, Alicia. The result is that he winds up disguising himself and spends a fabulous night with Alicia. Then.... he disappears, much to Alicia's shock and dismay. The story revolves around these past events and how the characters reconcile them with their futures…as well as the future of the company.

Jillian Riley has written a sweet, riveting story that had me mesmerized!! I couldn't put it down until I finished!! The story embraced the thoughts and feelings of the characters as well as the motivations driving them. You just had to root for both Alicia and Lucas...and hope it would all work out for them….will it??? Read it to find out!!!!

A fun story

Lucas can’t believe what his closest friends are telling him. He thinks everyone in his company loves him. When they tell him they think he’s arrogant and self-centered, he bets them he can get four people to say they love him or he’ll take the entire company to the US for a team building week.

He goes undercover and discovers he really is disliked. From his weekly podcasts about how wonderfully he’s running the company to his attitude, not one person in the company likes him, not even the new girl Alicia. He’s dejected but he at least got one night with Alicia.

At the team building week things go from bad to worse and he’s not sure how to fix it, until Alicia comes to his rescue, even though he lied to her the most.

This story is about a wealthy businessman who makes a bet that he believes he can't lose. What Lucas believes is a sure thing somehow comes back to bite him in the rear. He dons a desguise and goes to work to determine the morale of his company's employees. You have heard it said, "Don't ask if you don't want to know." Lucas finds the truth to be unpalatable. While the book expands on that idea, it also makes one look at one's self in the mirror. I love how the author brings the reader to view the world differently, while making the point softly. Well written with a (tiny) lesson; and while it is not a squeaky clean read, there is only one sexual encounter, and it is pertinent to the storyline.

Lucas is a business owner who can not believe what his friends are telling him, that the employees don't like him. So he make a bet with them that he can find 4 people that do. Surprise, Lucas finds out that they think he is a self centered jerk, when he go undercover at his company. He meets Alicia and is falling for her while undercover. After losing the bet with his friends he does as promised and takes everyone on a team building trip. So much happens, and he gets caught up trying to keep his true self secret and still pretend to be someone else around his employees. Will he be able to save what he has with Alicia, or will he lose everything?

This is hilarious and an interesting twist on an "office romance" story. I felt sorry for him because I think he's a compassionate boss but his perception is just a tad off. Nothing like an all expense paid retreat to air the dirty laundry and force the skeletons out of the closet. I think June and his employees were too hard on him but in the end his eyes are opened and he finds more than he was even looking for. I think that both characters past baggage cause them to doubt. June has some great, straight forward and very supportive friends and he gets to show his alpha side...love his determination.

Another loving, touching story by Jillian Riley. What happens when a successful CEO goes undercover when he finds out that none of his employees like him. Unknowing to him he has a one night stand with his employee, newly hired social media manager Alicia at one of his field offices. When things come to light between these two and he discovers that he is really hated by his employees he disappears. Once all lies are revealed, can Alicia save him and the burden he shares while coming to his rescue? This was a fast paced story and a great book. And Alpha Boss he is, all right - great, entertaining read

The plot in this book was something else than other stories I've read till date. It is very well thought through and delivers a little bit of mystery, a little bit of drama, some funny and entertaining moments but what I enjoyed most was that without many explicit sexy scenes I had a feeling that chemistry between main characters was almost palpable and the attraction they felt towards each other was sizzling hot. I loved how the story ended and the epilogue with the very domestic scene, as in real life there's not always fireworks but simple gestures means more than fully planned great escapades.

As the CEO of his company Alchemy Enterprises, he and his peers enter a bet for Lucas assessing who likes working with him in his company by going undercover.
This book was intense as Alicia Taylor and Lucas aka Luke Johnson, internal commentary, and outbursts.
Sandy is also that lively friend who brings fun and balance to Alicia's life. The hookup is quick, heated but full of regrets, can they be fixed and will Lucas be able to improve employee perception.

Lucas is a self made billionaire, he's arrogant and during a poker game, his top management tells him that his staff don't like him, to prove them wrong, he goes undercover to find four people that actually like him. Here he meets Alicia, one of his employees and they are attracted to each other. They spend one hot night together, but Lucas abandons her after finding out the truth about what his staff actually thinks about him and retreats back to his mansion. Alicia is disappointed as she was starting to like this guy, but when she finds out who he really is....... Will it work out?

Lucas is a successful Australian business owner who can’t believe the employees at his company don’t like him, so he takes a page from the TV show Undercover Boss and disguises himself to try and prove his employees do have a good impression of him. I won’t give any more of the plot away than that.

I’m giving this book 3 stars because there isn’t much depth to the story and you don’t really feel a true love/romance between the H and h.

Short, Sweet and Smokin’ Hot

Jillian Riley has a well written, short, sweet and delicious romance between Lucas and Alicia. He’s an oblivious CEO and she’s the woman who works for his company Alchemy. He humiliates her when he uses a disguise, then takes her to bed, then leaves. He’s been so impressed with himself that he hasn’t realized that his employees aren’t impressed with him and his pompous attitude. When he loses a bet and takes all his employees to Texas for a team building experience, he learns a lot more than he figured on.

Alicia has just started working at Alchemy and knows she has to stay away from her hot boss.
Lucas cant believe all his employees hate him so goes under cover to find someone/anyone who does.
There is an instant attraction between them but with big lies between them can it be anything more?
There are a few laughs in the book but also some drama.

I loved this book! The caracters won me over quickly, even the "arrogant" boss. It is romantic, has a few surprises, and a happy ever after that I hoped for. This was a really sweet story, and easy to read. Lucas tried to pull a fast one on his employees, and it backfired - right into his heart. He was mortified when he realized that he slept with Alicia and she's his employee. His dishonesty nearly blew his chance with Alicia. Her friend Sandy keeps pushing her, though - right toward Lucas. I loved seeing Sam and Carlos from a previous book.
