This very simple book had such a wonderful lesson that I completely appreciated. The lesson - don't give up, just try your best - is so priceless. Kids need to hear it. Parents, teachers, coaches and the like need to say it. I loved it! I even adored when the script was flipped and the kids had to encourage the coach. That was too funny.
With colorful illustrations and relevant content for kids, this book was and is a jewel. My kids sat and listened to every single word. They even answered the questions in the back of the book. Tomorrow, we will complete the craft activity. How cool is that?

This is a nice Green Light Readers book level 2 to help children not only learn to read with repetitive words. But also to teach children to believe in themselves and "try your best" as the children in the book are reminded by their teacher; and then the teacher learns that from his students as well.
