There's nothing like a wedding to bring people together, but family dynamics can be complicated, especially newly blended ones.

Sonja Cooper is thrilled that her daughter Lauren is marrying Jesse Brewster and giving her a ready-made granddaughter in the irrepressible 3-year old Shelley. The fact that Jesse is also Sonja's business partner in the launching of the Morrison M

SWEET HORIZONS is the third book in the Indigo Bay Second Chance series and while this series can be read alone, fans will want to read Sweet Entanglement to get Jesse and Lauren's story since this story starts with the wedding.

Even though Jeff is in his upper 40's and Sonja is 50-something, both of them are on pins and needles with each other. They are attracted but second-guessing everything they say and do. But add a very bossy and out-spoken two-year-old granddaughter to the mix and the two

I loved these stories so much I stayed up till 2 AM this morning to finish reading them!

Although Sweet Horizons is from a different series, the story takes up where Sweet Entanglement ends. I want to be very careful to not give away too much from either story, in case you haven’t had time to read them yet. And if you haven’t read Sweet Entanglement, please pick up a copy and read it first; you’ll be glad you did. . . although it’s fine as a standalone, too.

I like the idea of older love interests. Jeff is so attracted to his son's new mother-in-law, but he isn't sure how she would feel about getting involved with him. He has been at loose ends since his wife died and Sonja makes him feel alive for the first time in a long time. Sonja had a terrible marriage and getting involved with someone isn't something she really wants to do. Except, Jeff is different. While her daughter is on her honeymoon, Sonja and Jeff are sharing babysitting duties. That m ...more

Sweet Horizons is a great addition to the Indigo Bay books. This story centers around the parents of Lauren and Jesse, the couple that just got married. Sonja and Jeff are spending time together, while sharing the responsibility of taking care of Shelley, Jesse’s daughter. Sonja’s ex really did a number on her and Jeff isn’t looking for anything long-term. Grab your copy and see what happens in this great beach read.

This was a sweet story about a mature couple finding love again. Their children go off on a honeymoon and they are left to take care of their granddaughter as well as the new businesses they have started. As they work together, they discover their love is growing. But can they get over there past in order to claim all that is in front of them in this new life they have chosen? A charming love story!
