I needed to get away.
My ex was getting married.
So, I left.
The English countryside was a picture-perfect escape.
The dashing stranger an even better one.
And what started as a chance encounter quickly became more.
He promised to show me how to live, how to feel alive and forget a past best forgotten.
He made me believe things could be different.
That was until I found out who he

description So where to begin? I wanted to love this book. It had all the makings of an angsty 5 Star read. A hot British royal. A feisty heroine. Secrets. Lies. Hot sex. Sweet moments. Romantic moments. And the first 60% was fantastic and heading in that direction. Then the other shoe dropped and the last 40% of this book was drama llama overload. Time jumps. An entire year separation where the heroine (view spoiler) (Although, props to

Don’t Exist in Life.....Live In Your Life.

A sweet romance, full of angst, drama, a little comedy, and a second chance at love, that was told in dual POVs. While this story had all the makings of a great read, I had some conflicts. I loved the first half of the book. I thought there was great chemistry and banter between Oliver and Addison. But about 60% into the read, I started to dislike the heroine. She drove me crazy with her stubbornness. I got it and unde

5 Charming CROWNS

Ava Harrison's Deceit is filled with a angst, emotion, a charming as heck hero, and a heroine struggling to overcome heartbreak. I found these two to be endearing, sexy, and most importantly an example that love can be healing.

Ollie! My man. There are not words that will do him adequate justice. He is just all the things a hero should be. He is utterly delectable in looks and personality. I love that he brings the heroine out of her shell. He bri

I wanted to fall in love with this romance so much, as it contained a perfect amount of features of an angst-ridden narrative full of heated moments, intense chemistry and deceitful secrets. Initially the execution was flawless and illustrated the characters’ dishonest intentions and vindictive actions in perfect fashion. However, the conclusion was lacklustre and transitioned downhill for numerous reasons—including the heroine’s terrible personality change.

Deceit's plot line is exactly as the title suggest, a story about a relationship based on lies, the deceit of one character to another, all signs pointing at disaster. Only in this novel you want the deceit to be forgiven, Ava Harrison sees to that with compelling characters and the royal bloodline us readers are flocking to right now. It's the sort of novel that even deceives the reader, leaving you wondering if this romance has the ability to las

The British dialogue was good and the rest I just couldn’t get into. I found myself wanting to start another book around 40% but decided to stick with it, and then was pissed I didn’t around 80%. All in all, I finished and couldn’t tell you why.

I really need to read more from this author as this was a great read.

Deceit has two strong characters....Oliver and Addison.

Addison is a strong likeable character. She’s trying to move on after being hurt by an ex. Then she meets Olly. He’s an intriguing character.
The chemistry between them is hot.

How can a relationship built on lies and Deceit survive?

Deceit is a well written story told through two points of view. I enjoyed it.

5 LOVE THIS BOOK STARS!! Ava Harrison has blown my mind again with her beautiful words. Olly and Addison's story is perfection with sexiness, love, humor, lies, and some suspense. The story kept me turning pages and never wanting it to end. This book will be one of my favorites for 2019.

“He made his choice. This has nothing to do with you. He chose to lie. To be deceitful. He chose to use me. Hurt me. He chose to destroy me.”

Deceit is one rollercoaster. There are so many ups and downs, omg. I was hooked from the very beginning. I love Ava Harrison’s writing, and her heroes are always so fucking sexy and swoony. I can say that Oliver Blackthorn has officially become my new favourite. While I loved the first part of the book, I have to admit that I l

Lies. Can any relationship survive when it begins with lies?! Is that something you can come back from?! This is the biggest obstacle Olly and Addy will face as their relationship progresses. Sometimes secrets aren't yours to tell and that's the situation these two find themselves in.

Addy is strong, fierce and has built walls around her heart so high she's convinced herself there is no room for love in her future. She's so successful she's never sure of men's true intentions. She's guarded and k

I really wanted to like this one, but sadly, all of the angst and drama just didn't work for me. I knew there would be lies and obviously deceit involved, but it just became too drawn out and over the top. Things were going well at the start and I felt fairly invested in Addison and Oliver and couldn't wait for all the secrets to come to light. Oliver was more on the arrogant side rather than charming for me, but I liked how he disar
If there's a romance with heartbreak before the happy ending, I want to tap it ;-)

And this book promises that in spades right out from the very title.

An American woman is fleeing from a hurtful past into the English countryside where she meets a dashing gentleman who sweeps her off her feet. Unbeknownst to her, he's hiding an agenda that ties with her job and his noble family. The first part of this romance is centered around their easy, passionate fling. I enjoyed the flowing way it evolved fro

5 Star Review Deceit by Ava Harrison

I have no idea where to start with this review. Deceit is an extremely well written story that blew me away. It was a wonderful book to read and Ava Harrison had me riveted from the first to the last chapter as she wove her story.

Addison is fleeing from the news that her ex is getting married and she escapes to the countryside where she meets Olly. Oh what a man Oliver Blackthorn, the 16th Earl of Lockhart and 33rd in line to the throne is.

To be honest I didn’t really care for Oliver. I just bought I’d like this one after reading about Grayson but I was wrong.
Addison and Oliver really didn’t have a connection to me. The whole he’s an heir to the throne whatever was so boring.

How can something real come from secrets and lies?

That’s the question that Addison Pierce is left to struggle with once she learns who Oliver Blackthorn after her body and her heart were already his.

Sometimes you start a book, and it's the one that you will listen to all night til it's over. I gave up sleep to finish this one!
