Anyone who has met Blackie and Lacey knows that their story isn't as easy as it looks. She constantly fights against her own mind and he's struggling with addiction. When they're apart and hit rock bottom, is their love enough?

A tragic love story disguised as one of the greatest fairytales.

I've loved these characters for so long that their pain was my pain. I felt every moment of conflict and it hurt whenever I thought they might not make it through together. I also feel like every small amoun

Blackout by Janine Infante Bosco is book Two in the Leather & Lace Duet. This continues the story of story of Blackie and Lacey, so you really should read the first book to fully enjoy their story in this one. Lacey is trying to deal with her mental illness, Blackie being gone and of course her pregnancy. Blackie is dealing with being away from Lacey, dealing with where he is at and how he failed to stay clean. This book pulls at your emotions with so much going on with them and you wanting ...more

With each published book I became more and more invested in the men and women of the Satan’s Knights MC, became a member of this unique family of rough around the edges characters. Their lives are messy, with danger around every corner, and it’s made their hard-fought HEAs even more rewarding in stories that kept me on the edge of my seat while pulling at my heartstrings.

This final tale is an epic one, as many of Ms. Bosco’s stories are, and couldn’t be contained in just one book with the action

Janine Infante Bosco has created a story of strength through weakness that will take you on angst journey that will have you cry, love and laugh with her beautifully broken characters. She engages you by telling the heartfelt story of the mind of addiction and how it will eat you up and then throw you back up. This second book in the Blackout two book series has Blackie as Jack 'the Bulldog' Parrish's once successor disappointing not only his brothers but the love of of his life, Lacey. They hav ...more

In case you didn't get the memo about this being the Leather & Lace Duet, this is Blackout, Book Two, so YOU MUST READ BLACKOUT BOOK ONE FIRST! It's not a suggest either, as it's a two part story so yeah, don't try to cheat the system. Anyway, I'll get off my soapbox now since I feel like I may have made my point. I have to start out by saying that Janine Infante Bosco has such a gift for writing, and she's just one of my very favorite author in the world. She simply causes chills when it co ...more

Tough heartbreaking ... but oh so brilliant

If Blackie and Lacey didn't have your hearts breaking in book one of this duet, then prepare yourself for a really tough, heartbreaking, but oh so brilliant final ride in BLACKOUT: BOOK TWO.

This beautiful story will take you on Blackie and Lacey's journey of extreme pleasure and ultimate pain. This is a couple whose love is so deep for each other, that you're constantly willing for it to overpower the demons and addictions that are chasing them down.

This is the final part in the Leather and Lace duet and Janine Infante Bosco has done it again. I have loved Blackie and Lacey since their very first book, but this...this one just cements that love. Sometimes the most tragic love stories make the best happily ever afters. The heartache and growth these two beloved characters go through amazed me in the best of ways. As usual, Janine’s writing is phenomenal and this story made my eyes do that leaking thing I hate lol. But in the end it’s

Wow what a beautiful conclusion to this duet. Blackout 2 is the second book in the Leather and Lace duet and the emotional continuation of Blackie and Lacey's story. It will take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride with the varying emotions it will evoke from you. Your heart will break for Blackie struggling with his addiction and for Lacey dealing with the Maker as she struggles with her mental illness. Both these characters are flawed yet so well-developed. You will see a level of strength ...more

Carla's Five Star Review

This is book two of the Leather and Lace Duet. You need to read book one before reading this one.

Let me start my review by saying that Janine really knocked it out of the ball park with this duet. This duet is the very reason that people read. With this tale of Leather and Lace, Janine wrings out every single emotion the reader experiences. This duet is difficult, raw, and read, but on the other side, it is humorous and fun.

I just love everyone who is Property of Parrish!

A heart wrenching conclusion to the Duet. Sure, the end was epic and the story was everything I was hoping for and a whole lot more. The roller coaster of emotions knows no bounds. You want to scream and cry and punch someone, ok both of them, at different times and for different reasons, but when all is said and done, what you have is an epic love story. Not because its all sunshine, rainbows and unicorns, far from it actually. It's epic because its real, it's work and in the end, it's more tha ...more

I loved everything about this story. Janine pulls you into this story with her amazing talent of writing. This is the second book in the duet. You do need to read book 1 first! The real life issues in this duet are real and the author did a great job at writing them. I see things a little different then I did before.

This book is full of Angst, love, heartbreak. Lacey battles every minute with her mind from bipolar and depression. I can relate to this character so much as I have a sister with bi

Blackout, Book Two is the gripping conclusion to the Leather & Lace Duet. This story picks up right where it left off in the first book Blackout, and I couldn't wait to dive in to see what was going to happen to these two characters. Blackie has broken all his promises he ever made to Lacey. Is she done fighting with him? She needs her leather now more than ever, being pregnant and off her meds, her maker is making herself known. Can she keep it together? Or finally let her maker have it's w ...more

I loved this duet, from beginning to end! The love that Lacey and Blackie share has no end. They battle through every obstacle that comes their way. They are both broken in different ways, but together they work to heal each other with love and patience and with the help of their families and professionals that they now call friends. Blackie and Lacey are both strong individuals who won't give up on themselves, or on each other. I really admired both of them for everything they overcame. It wasn ...more

You killed me with this duet !!!
First off let's just say this duet pulled at my heart right from the beginning because of what all I know of this couple from Parrish’s book .
Now we have the second part of this duet where the fight is real to get back to the love and trust these two lost .
This is now in Lacey's POV and damned if I didn't fall more for this couple and yes it has made me believe even stronger that I am property of Parrish!!!
PLEASE PLEASE read the first part of this duet to get Blac

This is the second and concluding part of this fascinating duet, and what an emotional roller coaster ride it is. Blackie and Lacey fight their trials and tribulations, but will their love for each other survive? This is a beautifully written masterpiece which deals with mental health and addiction issues, and what it takes to overcome and come out the other side. This is a heartbreaking, raw, gritty, humorous, emotional and powerful story, which had me totally captivated throughout this addicti ...more

This is the hardest review I have ever had to write. Janine I love you and hate you all at the same time. I give no spoilers because I feel that readers should experience this couples highs and lows for themselves. I feel a connection to both Lacey and Jack because I also suffer from manic depression. Janine guides readers honestly and truthfully to help people who are unaware just how life destroying the disease can be. I am so sad that this book is the end of an extraordinary series, but what a way for the author to go out. Blackie and Lacey have to be the two most complex and complicated characters from this series, but they are so imperfectly perfect for each other. This book concludes their love story and illustrates how even though we all have demons or pasts that plague us, we deserve happiness and some sense of normalcy. Blackie fights his addiction daily and Lacey fights her "maker" that would love to d ...more

Leather (Blackie) and Lace (Lacey) are hands down my favorite MC couple seriously ever. The blood sweat and tears the author put into telling their story is evident. The journey these two have endured is incredible. The balance of intense emotions and the action of MC life was perfect. One of the many things I admire about this author is that her writing is so realistic to this world. I would even venture to say she would give Kurt Sutter a run for his money when it comes to writing MC. I am goi ...more

Amazing

Janine pulled out all the stops as this era comes to an end. If you though Blackout part one was emotional you haven't seem anything yet. I was on an emotional roller coaster throughout this whole book. The highs and lows, the doubt and fear, and then the love Blackie and Lacey share had me feeling every emotion right along with them. I laughed, I cried and I felt their pain. My heart was ripped to shreds and slowly mended throughout their story. Leather and Lace found their happily ever

Part 2 of Blackout had me laughing and crying within the first chapter. Blackie and Lacey took me to the darkest depths with their pain and at times I felt like I was drowning, but it took just a sliver of light to bring me to the surface. Their story was the perfect combination of leather and lace, soft and hard and judgement and understanding. Blackout was a story not of empty promises but of sincere actions. These two at times broke me like no other couple has, but as they both stripped their ...more

Blackout, Book Two is the continuation of Lacy and Blackie’s love story. It is a heartbreaking, raw, emotional story that will have you smiling one minute and put tears in your eyes the next.
Lacy and Blackie each battle their own demons, but in the end the strength they need to win the battle comes from their deep love for one another and now the love they have for their daughter. I have never wished for two characters to finally heal and find their happily ever after than I did for these two.

Five easy stars for this duet. I loved it hard. This story wasn’t an easy one to read with the heartbreaking truths that come out. But by the end it was so worth the tears and Kleenex. This story has grit and shows that love can win if you work at it. Now I want to go back and read them all again! The characters are strong and so damn determined to make the relationship work when EVERYTHING is against them. If you love MC this this duet isn’t one to miss!

Black book 2 in The Leather and Lace Duet. Holy Fu@k this book is amazing and will leave you feeling like you want to cry your eyes out and then your heart will be so full it’s going to burst. Please read this book as it is a wrap up of a beautiful love story between Blackie and Lacey and all the brokenness between them. If I could give it 10 stars I would. I always wanted to be #propertyofparish but now I think I am #propertyofblackie. Great wrap up of the Satan’s Knights.

This book it’s everything I was hoping for and more! I cried my eyes out many times reading it. Janine truly made you feel every word in your heart and soul. Janine ripped my heart into pieces but made it beat even more in the end. How she showed us how Blackie and Lacey were fighting addiction and mental illness. I hate to see them go they both are so strong characters that speak volumes to many people. This is definitely two characters I’ll never forget! 5/5 stars but deserves more

Janine really knows how to drag you in with her books. My emotions were all over the place. Blackie and Lacey's story is not all about rainbows and sunshine, it's about the true meaning of fighting your demons and asking for help even if you don't know you needed it. And the love and support a family can give you. I really glad they found their happy every after and can't wait to see what Janine has in store for us with the next-generation of Satan's Knights MC.
