In this case this rating is very much an 'it's not you, it's me' type of rating. Not often do I need to read standalone books in a series in order; however, in this case, I think my enjoyment for the story would have been more had I known the history between the friends. Nydia is being convinced by her girlfriends to move from New York to New Orleans to join them in their innkeeping business. Nydia breaks up with her long-time boyfriend before she visits New Orleans and

The Bridal Suite is the fourth and final book in Rochelle Alers Innkeepers series. Though part of a series, this novel reads well as a standalone.

Hannah DuPont-Lowell, Jasmine Washington, Tonya Martin and Nydia Santiago are a quartet of friends who, oddly enough, met and became friends on the day they were downsized from their jobs at an international Wall Street private investment firm. Hannah is a native Orleanian and has decided to turn her ancestral home into an inn, Hannahs DuPont Inn.
The Bridal Suite by Rochelle Alers is the fourth book in the Innkeepers Series. The series is about four women who were summarily let go of their job and how they each rebuilt their life. I did read the prior novel (#3), but not the two before that. I think each book can be read as a stand alone.

The fourth book focuses on Nydia Santiago and her eventual move to the Big Easy. She too is rebuilding her life after being let go. She is petite and sassy. She is comfortable in her own skin and is not

The Third and final book in the series. Nydia Santiago is the youngest and one of the four women that were Co Workers, let go from a Manhattan company, became friends and the only one who still lives in New York instead of with the rest of them in New Orleans. While visiting her friends, she not only helps her closest friend Jasmine with her wedding, While there she meets single father Lamar Pierce, and has to decide if dealing with the ghost of his wife and a pre teen daughter is worth ...more

A very enjoyable series about four very different friends embarking on the dream of a lifetime .

When her three besties moved to the Big Easy, Nydia Santiago is second-guessing staying behind in New York City. So when Jasmine Washington calls with the exciting news that shes getting married, Nydia happily rushes to New Orleans to be her maid of honor. Once she visits the lovely Garden District estate her friends are transforming into a luxury inn, shes wistful to join them in their venture.

Nydia has had some rotten luck in love- her most recent ex is a real heel. SO, the chance to start over again in New Orleans means more than just a new job, it means a reset of her heart. Her friend (who will be familiar to those who have read the earlier books in the series - but don't worry if you haven't) are renovating a home in the Garden District. Lamar is the man in charge and oh, my, he's wonderful. He's also a widowed dad who takes that seriously. It takes a lot for both Nydia and Lamar ...more

3.5 stars rounded up to four. This is the fourth and final book of The Inkeepers series, and while I did enjoy it, it was the most difficult for me to get through because I found it very difficult to relate to the heroine. Were similar in age but thats about all, so I had a hard time understanding the choices she made or the way she reacted to situations. But this story really is like a fairy tale, as even the characters acknowledge, and it was nice to have all four friends finding their happily ...more

The Bridal Suite by Rochelle Alers is Nydias story in the fourth and final Innkeepers stories. But it is a good stand alone and worth reading the other three books in the series.
Nydia has been burned in her love life and by her most recent employer. Deciding to move to New Orleans to join her other three friends in their venture to open an inn, Nydia never expects to fall in love, especially with someone as Lamar. Nadia is a woman with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a wish to be loved by a

This is a wonderful conclusion to The Innkeepers series. This book is Nydias story. This is the story of Nydia and Lamar, an unexpected chance of love. After two failed relationships, both with men who had used Nydia for their own desires but hadnt offered much in return, Nydia was twice shy and not interested in getting into a new relationship. Lamar, widowed and the father of a 10 year old, had thought he wouldnt even think about a relationship until Kendra was 18. Neither expected the sparks ...more

This is the first book I read in this series and will surely read the others as I liked this one.
It's an entertaining and engrossing story, that made me smile and root for the characters.
I liked the fleshed out cast of characters, the well crafted plot and the setting.
Even if it's the third in a series I had no issues with the plot or the characters.
Many thanks to the Kensington Books and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

First what a beautiful cover. I have read the other books in the Innkeeper's series and for the most part enjoyed Nydia and Lamar's story. I felt the ending chapters were not as gripping or even needed, sort of dragged out. I didn't quite get the conflict. But, I am a huge Rochelle Alers fan and look forward to reading more of her work. Thank you Netgalley.

Worth the wait

I had been wondering for long time when this one was coming. When saw it had been released I was ecstatic. Love that both never bit their tongues. Now to start the series over.

Bridal 'Sweet'

Nice completion to these amazing women second chances of love and career. I love Lamar"s and Nydia*s Frank and honest communication. A great adult, no games, especially mind games story. Two thumbs up! Brenda Jackson Always delivers great great novels! 🙂

Not one of my favorites

I found this installment to be the worst of the 4. Nydia was too argumentative for me! Too much bickering and not enough love scenes. Loved the other 3 but this one, not so much

Loved the story of Nydia and Lamar. I actually loved this whole series and am saddened this is the end of the Innkeepers series, but I am pleased that Rochelle Alers has a new series coming out that I am looking forward to.

Sweet book. The pacing is fast so it may not work for those who prefer a slow burn romance. I really enjoyed the regional and cultural food references and the recipes at the end.

while I enjoyed the others, this is my favorite in the series. Nydia and Lamar balance each other and his daughter is going to run rings around both of them when she becomes a teen.
