The author did a great job in explaining spiritual warfare. His writing was easy to understand and he referenced the Bible throughout the book. I liked the fact that the author represented differing opinions and didn’t try to sway you one way or another. He let the reader decide on their stance by reading the facts. Also a fantastic description of the Armour of God and how to use it.

Max Anders writes in one of the most clear, practical ways; to me, his writings are taught from a teacher's heart.

His style is repetitious and totally applicable. His books are a super source for a teacher using his material.

Each chapter is laid out this way: a pertinent quote on the specific subject of the chapter, an overview of the chapter, headings of the main points in question form, a summary explaining why the subject just covered is so important, then a conclusion. At the end of the chapter there is another summary, a fill-in-the-blank review of the summary. Then there are further reference to study if desired.

In this book, he does a brilliant job of honestly discussing and explaining the myriad of issues about how Christians have approached the issue of Spiritual Warfare.

Like Stott, I highly recommend ANY of his works

This book is a must read for all Christians because "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. " Ephesians 6:12.

Max's books is an excellent overview of the armor of God in Ephesians and how we can use the armor both offensively and defensively in spiritual warfare. He presents some ideas about the armor that are quite familiar as well as a fresh perspective on the purposes and uses of the armor in battle.
