From USA Today bestselling author Kahlen Aymes comes a new, sexy standalone novel. A complete STAND-ALONE follow-up to Kahlen’s smash hit, Trading Yesterday!
Outwardly, my life was rocking. As a sportscaster at ESPN, I’ve traveled the world, attending the most prestigious sporting events, and meeting all sorts of famous people. I have great friends, and women whenever I want them, but I miss the little girl I helped raise and still adore. My heart was broken when my best friend came back to step in as her dad, but at least my career was on the uptick.
That was until Missy Ellington sailed into my network intent on stealing the promotion I was counting on. There was no way I’d let her get in the way of a new job would that would allow me to spend more time with my little Remi.
Missy was beautiful and smart, but her relentless ambition and cool demeanor were off-putting as hell. She had an underlying vulnerability that hinted she was not all she pretended to be. At first, she came off as a shrew with a serious aversion to men, but there was underlying pain in her eyes that went deeper, and I was determined to find out the reason.
When I discovered Missy’s single-minded ferociousness to succeed was driven by a painful past and a little boy named Dylan, the protector in me kicked in and I was drawn to her even more... like a moth to a flame.
A stunning and emotional follow-up to Trading Yesterday! Will Jensen get his HAPPILY EVER AFTER?

Finding Tomorrow is book 2 in the Trading Yesterday series by Kahlen Aymes. I absolutely fell in love with Jensen in Trading Yesterday and I wanted him to find his love so bad. Well, let me tell you, Finding Tomorrow delivered in a big way. This book is emotional, heart warming, action packed and filled with drama that just pulls you in. My heart broke for Jensen in Trading Yesterday, but with the love of Missy, it is completely filled to capacity. Add in the two adorable children Remi and Dylan and you have a book that will melt you completely. Finding Tomorrow is a 5 star must read!
I honestly don't know how Kahlen keeps doing it. Every book that I read of hers I say, this one is my favorite so far. She has the ability to draw you in and fall in love with each and every character.
Jensen and Missy's story may be my favorite. (I say this on every series) How can you not feel for Missy and wonder what kind of life she lived. Jensen, is just swoon worthy. You can't NOT love him. Especially when he is with Remi.
I can not wait to see where this story goes. I have a feeling she is gonna drop a bomb on us and I will want to throw my Kindle again and be scared to finish the book. I sent her a message and said I need the next book NOW! I have to know what happens next. It will be a slow painful wait but this story is amazing.
What a story! Missy and Jensen. I so love Jensen's character. I loved him in Trading Yesterday but his character here is so well written. Missy has a bad past but she's trying to make a future for her and her son. I called Jensen her knight in shining armor even before it was written in the book. Jensen and Missy have an immediate connection and he just wants to be there for her.
I love all of the characters, the kids, just everyone. There are definitely some twists and turns along the way I did not see coming but I could not put the book down. It is so well written you just love these characters so much! You cheer for them and just love them! I cannot wait for more from Kaylen Aymes!
I have to say that it takes a real knack for talent to be able to write a love story with such brilliant and beautiful characters. That it also takes a lot of skill to be able to write a beautiful and bring it love story The has children in it. Dylan and Remi were the icing on the cake of this love story. what I loved most about the characters was that Everyone was genuine, everyone was authentic and everyone truly have their heart open for Second chances and forgiveness. This author has the power of words to move world's and make readers shake in their boots and cry in their tissues. Lucky for us, we get to do both and celebrate while doing it.
Melissa "Missy" Ellington has suffered at the wrath of pure evil. Pure evil in the form of a a man that she married and created a child with. She never expected her life to be ridden with guilt, worry, sadness and fear. However, poorly choices she made, she needed to survive in order to save her son. Dylan was the only person who mattered. She could live the rest of her life without a man or partner in her life as long as Dylan was safe and happy. She would do everything in her power the step out of the past, embrace the future and provide the life that Dylan deserved. Unfortunately, she never anticipated the likes of Jensen Jeffers wanting to be her Knight. A beautiful man with so much love and realness that she never expected. She's in for some serious trouble of the good kind finally with an "off limits" man. Yet, she's not afraid this time. Well not in the terrifying sense. This time she's afraid her heart might be in jeopardy and if that's the case, then she had some serious thinking to fo. Because , Jensen Jeffers was coming for her...
Jensen Jeffers made the ultimate sacrifice when protecting Teagan from embarrassment and shame. He married her and took on the role of provider and husband to care for her child, Remi. Even after all the battles and heartache, he would still have done nothing to change it because of the bond between him and Remi. He might not be her biological father, but he was the next best thing. So, when everything changes and he ends up alone, he still has Remi in his life, but he's still alone. Meeting the spitfire who's out for his job makes him take a step back. However, once he makes a decision. He goes full throttle. And that decision is to protect the damsel in need. Missy might say she doesn't need or want a man, but she hasn't met a man like Jensen yet. A man that with every fiber of his being is telling him that Missy is worth it all and he will do nothing more to protect her and her son.
Kahlen did a fabulous job on this story. We readers may have had to wait extra time for it but it was so worth the wait and I couldn't have been more enthusiastic about the outcome. This story along with it's counterpart are a beautiful wrapped package with a nice bow on top.
I thought I was all cried out with Trading Yesterday. Boy was I wrong. Have your tissues ready for this one. Dylan and Remi are the cutest. They make this story even better. Jensen and Missy are perfect together. He is the most protective, caring, amazing man alive. It was instant when he met Missy. Of course her past held her back from ever giving into the attraction that she felt for him. It had been so long since she felt this way. But Jensen was so patient with her. He wanted to be her knight in shining armor. It was the type of man that he was. Always wanting to protect and take care.
This story will have you glued to every word. You cannot help but to fall in love with Jensen and Missy. You feel everything that she is going through. You cheer for them right from the beginning. She deserves it all. From what she and Dylan went through with her ex to finally find someone (even though she wasn't looking) who treated her like she was a precious gem. The love Jensen showed Dylan will melt your heart. Their story is what love stories are made of.
Kahlen Aymes, is by far one of my very favorite authors. She has the fabulous ability to grab you from page one right up to the final page. Never disappointing her readers.
You may have everything in your life that you think is meaningful until that special someone walks into it. Then your whole world gets turned upside down. And all that stuff you thought was important no longer feels the same.
Finding Tomorrow, was the best I've read in a very long time.
Melissa has to run….. She needs to hide…. She needs to get away from him. They are in danger. Dylan’s only 4 years old and he will be scared for life if she stays any longer. How will she manage to get away…… He watches her every move…. Knows what she does every second of every day. This is no way to live… Constant fear… Constant pain…
Jensen (Jensey) has the love of a little girl that will never truly be his but loves her as though she were. Remi has been through so much in her life and yet she conquered and won. Her battle for life inspires him to do more every day. He wants the love of a woman and to have a family of his own but he will not settle for just anyone. When he finds her, he will know she’s the ONE.
Melissa (Missy) has managed to get away from Derrick and the divorce has been final for 2 years now. Her brother Ben has been her rock through it all but she needs to find her own feet. She needs a job and she needs to have a place of her own for herself and Dylan.
Billings, Montana is a beautiful place but the interview she secured at ESPN, as a “Behind the Scenes Producer”, is all the way in Atlanta. Its closer to Dallas and that’s where her abusive ex-husband “Derrick” lives. Can she take the chance of being closer to him? For her son? A new future? Hell yes! It’s the opportunity of a life time. A dream and one she will pursue.
Jensen is pissed. He cannot believe that Bryan (his boss) is considering someone else for this job… He has worked his tail off for years and now this? He sees her… She is breath taking. This should be fun…. Little does he know he is about to have his ass handed to him… in good way.
She thought she found the love of her life but then he turned out to be a monster. She will never trust a man so easily again. Her heart will be safe and her son will never suffer at the hands of a mad man again…. She is lonely but her son comes first.
She never expected to fall so quickly and so deep. Can she trust this man with her heart? Can she trust that he won’t turn out to be like Derrick? As times goes on, her heart starts to heal and she allows him in, slowly but surely. He is loved and respected by so many but is he the one for her? Only time will tell.
OMG… Dylan and Jensen…. Their bond brought me to tears. Get the tissues ready ladies; you’re going to need it.
I would love to go on and on about this book but I don’t want to give too much away. There is tuns more story!!! It’s a MUST read!!!
Kaylen Aymes writes with her heart on her sleeve. She writes about unforgettable passion and an all consuming love. The characters have their own duel P.O.V and I love that we get to see their side of everything.
This story kept me on the edge of my seat and reading it was as if the story came to life in front of me. I was actually living the story! It was filled with suspense, sadness, a level of pain that will bring you to tears, love, humor and so much passion. The story was so captivating and well thought through. The character build-up was phenomenal.
Well done and congratulations Kahlen on the release of your new book. I know that everyone will love this book just as much as I did….
Now give us Ben’s story… ;) I know it is going to be EPIC…. Firefighter finds soul mate…
Finding Tomorrow is Kahlen Aymes' best work to date.
I loved the story of Melissa "Missy" Ellington and Jensen Jeffers.
Missy's past is not a light-hearted, joy filled one. She has finally escaped an abusive marriage with her son Dylan, and is bound and determined not to let her ex influence her actions anymore. After living in Montana for two years, she applies and interviews for a position at ESPN. Not knowing that there is already an internal applicant that has his eyes set on the position.
Jensen Jeffers has been a sportscaster for ESPN and has loved it. But he's sick of the travelling and being away from his little girl so much. He applies for a production position that will only see him out of town a couple of days a week instead of nearly every week. When Jensen discovers that he has competition he doesn't know what to do. Never in a million years did he think that he would end up liking the competition and feeling a sense of protection over her and her son.
I loved all the characters in this story and especially liked how even the kids played a big part.
Missy and Jensen's story is one that is intense and has many twists and turns. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Finding Tomorrow and look forward to the next!
How do you find your own happily ever after when the girl you married and her child go back to her one true love and father of her child? How do you heal yourself and your young son after the horrors your ex-husband put you both through? How do you learn to stand on your own and trust another man with your heart and your son’s?
We meet Jensen in Trading Yesterday. He is an amazing man that married his best friend’s pregnant girlfriend so she wouldn’t be alone. He raised her daughter like she was his own. He moved heaven and earth when Remi was sick putting his life on hold to care for them. He continued to help raise Remi when Chase and Teagan married continuing to exist in his life but not truly living.
Enter Missy and Dylan. Missy has a heart breaking story . She is strong and will do anything to protect her young son Dylan. Jensen and Missy start working together and sparks fly. Missy is reluctant and fights her feelings because of her past. Jensen is patient and his loving self and breaks down her walls. Of course nothing worth having is easy and these two don’t have an easy road but true love prevails.
This author writes amazing heart felt stories. Believable and real characters. Read this book . You will fall in love with Jensen, Missy , Dylan and Remi.
I loved this book. Kahlen next book in the Trading Yesterday series. Missy, a women trying to escape the past she had. Escaping from a very possessive, abusive man. She finally breaks loose and has to figure out her future and she must stay out of the eye of her ex husband. She moves on and lands an great job and great group to work with. This is where Jensen comes into the picture. Missy is applying for a job at ESPN and this is where Jensen and Missy connect. Things sort of got off to a rocky start with Jensen. He wants the promotion that Missy came for. But more so I think he wanted her and want to keep her close.
I loved how the story flowed and the characters are very well developed. Once I started it I couldn't put the book down. The Journey of Missy and Jensen get their HEA.
Such a beautiful story, I am in love with these characters, Dylan and Remi got to my heart. Missy’s story is hard, you need a strong character to overcome so many things she has to struggle to survive. Dylan is her priority; her son is her everything. Then Jensen Jeffers comes along, and she wasn’t expecting it. Jensen didn’t expect to be with a step daughter, but Remi has his heart. The complicated story of all will tear your heart out and put it back piece by piece, This is a great story that needs to be read.
This is the 2nd book in The Trading Yesterday series which can be read as a standalone. I would highly recommend reading the 1st book for the full enjoyment as characters follow through.
We met Jensen in book 1 but this book sees him searching for his own HEA.
Without giving away major spoilers Missy and her son Dylan are creating a new life for themselves when they meet Jensen. Jensen too is rebuilding his life and finding his way as a single man.
I loved the build up between Missy and Jensen, and Missy's determination to build a new life for her and Dylan. Missy is quite rightly cautious in embarking on a new relationship but the we see a story of 2nd chance happiness and allowing yourself to love again.
We have some Drama to keep you on the edge but if you love super cute kids then this is the book for you. Remi who we also met in book 1 makes for some funny moments and together with Dylan make a cute little pairing.
Oh Jensey, what a great man you are... I thought you were absolutely lovely with Teagen in her book, Trading Yesterday, but you got the happiness you so deserve. I loved that we also got to meet a completely new character in Melly, she was such a sweet and very conscientious lady. I absolutely loved their chemistry.
Missy was a strong independent lady, with one thing on her mind, and that was to keep her little lad Dylan safe. He was also a sweet cute kid.
Missy had a lot of very good people around her, once she left Billings, and started to build a new life for her and her son. I loved Ben, and was glad we got to see more of him throughout this book.
How open and loving were Chase and Teagen with Missy, that really melted my heart, such a wonderful thing to do. They really were one big happy group of people.
This story had it all, love, friendship, companionship, intrigue, suspense. You grabbed our attention and had us rooting for the happy ending they both very well deserved. This was a great page turner.
Oh I foresee another story coming with Remi and Dylan, what a sweet little friendship was building, and how lovely that you get to meet your prince so early on! Absolutely loved this book, and without being too push when's the next installment of this series coming!!
Finding Tomorrow by Kahlen Aymes, book 2 in the Trading Yesterday series can be read as a stand-a-lone and tells the story of Missy who is living with an abusive husband and Jensen who we met in Trading Yesterday.
From the moment the story begins you are pulled into the story. Missy’s experiences truly feel as if you are living them yourself and you are routing for her to leave an abusive situation. She moves to Atlanta and gets a production job at Jensen’s place of employment. She is very weary of men, due to her past experiences, but she finds Jensen to be kind, honest and someone she can trust. He becomes a protector to both Missy and her young son, Dylan.
There are some heart stopping moments where you don’t want to put the book down and you wonder where the story will lead.
We have the opportunity to revisit Teagan, Chase and their beautiful daughter Remi. One of the things I absolutely loved about this book, was the dialogue and inclusion of two 6 year olds, who often had my heart melting and also laughing at the same time.
We will have to wait for the next two books in the series, but this is one story you should not miss.
Trading Tomorrow is book two of Kahlen Aymes Trading Series.
This is the story of Jensen Jeffers, the man who selflessly marries one of his best friends to help save her from embarrassment and helps raise her daughter. Newly divorced after his wife reunited with her daughters father, and her one true love, Jensen is finally getting to live his life for himself and his “daughter”.
When Melissa “Missy” Ellington comes into his life, he is immediately drawn to her. She is a single mom who is very protective of herself and her little boy. The more Missy and Jensen interact, the more he feels himself falling for her and wanting to protect her.
This is another incredible love story written by Kahlen. A tear jerking, emotional, sexy read. Jensen is truly a knight in shining armor. I truly loved this book so much.
This book can be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend that you read Trading Yesterday first as it was a heartbreaking, emotional and fantastic love story.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is book 2 in the Trading Yesterday series and it was so good. I loved Missy and Jensen’s story. These two have instant chemistry that you can’t help but hope they end up together. This was an emotional heart felt story that pulls you in. If your looking for a sweet, emotional, heart felt story this is it.
What a great story! You’ll just love Jensen, and Dylan.. with Remi, Teagan, and Chase from the first book in the series it’s got all the feels. Grab a box of tissues, your favorite snack and settle in for a great book.
4.5 Stars The second in the fabulous Trading Yesterday series by Kahlen Aymes, this book, Finding Tomorrow is everything I have come to expect from this author because it isn’t just, beautifully engaging and wonderfully romantically it was thought-provoking and totally captivating. The story follows the life of Missy, her life hasn’t been one that has been particularly auspicious, her partner was an a**. the sort of guy that used his power and influence over Missy to ensure that he was able to control everything about her, he was a horrible guy and it didn’t take long before I was totally hooked and silently urging her to find a way to leave his sorry a**. And when she eventually gets herself together, she gathers up everything she holds dear and her son and moves to Atlanta. She finds work at Jensen’s workplace and does everything she can to keep her head down and stay under the radar. I thought she was a wonderful woman, I got the fact that she just wanted a simple life, she had been through so much heartache and pain that trust was hard for her to hand over, she was wanted to keep herself to herself but Jensen was able to show her that not every guy was like her ex and that if she needs to she can rely on him. I thought he came across as a genuine guy, one that was more than willing to be the good guy and to watch over not just Missy but also her son Dylan. There were so many twists and turns that it was impossible to tell where the next piece of the action was coming from. There were events that will take your breath away in more ways than one, I was aghast at some of the situations that Missy initially experienced but was left breathless again with the connection that developed as her relationship with Jensen developed. Ms. Aymes is able to create stories that speak volumes, it was full of characters that matter, each one bringing their spark to the page. I especially loved the kids, Dylan and Remi they were fantastic; the introduction of these beautifully cheeky kids was a stroke of genius, they stole the show! A super read that was everything I wanted from a story and more.
Finding Tomorrow is book two in the Trading Yesterday series and can be read as a stand-a-lone. However, I highly recommend that you read Trading Yesterday first, so you get the full back-story on Teagan, Chase, Jensen and Remi. This is the story of Jensen Jeffers and Melissa “Missy” Ellington.
This was an emotional heartfelt story that pulled me in from the first page. I even made sure to have my tissues and glass of wine at the ready. Because if you know Kahlen Aymes at all, you will know that tissues are a must when reading her stories.
Melissa “Missy” Ellington is the single mom of one adorable little boy named Dylan. She is trying to put her life back together after leaving an abusive relationship. She is getting the chance of a lifetime by getting an interview for ESPN. The only person standing in her way is Jensen Jeffers.
Jensen Jeffers work at EPSN and wants a new position within the company. He is tired of all the traveling and wants to be able to spend more time Remi and this job is the key. The only problem is the beautiful new applicant that just made herself known, Missy Ellington.
Jensen and Missy have an insta attraction from the very beginning, but both are trying to ignore their feelings as they could be co-workers or even boss/employee and they know that those feelings could be more trouble than they want. But, by the time they realize it…. Jensen wants to be her Knight in Shining Armor and Missy wants to be the Damsel in Distress!
This book has all the feels and then some! I love the connections between all the characters, but Dylan and Remi stole my heart. I loved Finding Tomorrow and can’t wait for the next book in this series. Definitely can’t wait for Dylan and Remi’s story!
I have waited a long time to read FINDING TOMORROW, Jenson Jeffers' story, and I can honestly say that the wait was definitely worth it. My heart broke for Jenson in Trading Yesterday, and Kahlen really had to make sure that Jenson's story repaired it ... she certainly did that and so much more. It was emotional, angsty, humorous and downright sexy ... Jenson and Missy will just own your heart, as will the two most adorable kids ever ... Remi (who was featured in Trading Yesterday) and Dylan.
Finding Tomorrow would have to be Kahlen's best story yet. She draws you in and keeps you there from the very beginning. Jenson and Missy are simply beautiful, one desires a life and love that his best friends have and the other is trying to escape the horrors of her past. Together they had heat and chemistry, enough to burn the pages. from the moment they met, Jenson was extremely protective of Missy and her son, it was such a realistic response from this amazing man. Missy felt safe with Jenson, however she was still hesitant to commit due to her past.
With a few twists and turns thrown into this wonderful story, Kahlen kept me completely glued. She has the ability to make her stories one you experience and not just read. i love this author's words and will read them whenever they're available.
I thoroughly enjoyed this new book from Kahlen Aymes. I've read many of her previous releases and as always, the story is engaging and the characters well-developed and endearing. The story is well-paced and draws the reader in. Once I had a chance to read the book, I could not put it down. I'm a sucker for single parent romance, because kids in books bring all the feels. Dylan and Remi add another level to the story that pulls at the heartstrings and may have the reader grab a tissue or two. Missy has had a difficult life and left an abusive relationship with her young son. After two years, she ready to spread her wings and try for a job at ESPN. Sadly, the same job veteran commentator, Jensen Jeffers, wants. Despite her cool demeanor at their initial meeting, the inevitable spark they have turns into a raging inferno. Their road to the HEA they both deserve takes several detours along the way. Ms. Aymes always aims for the emotions, and this book has all of them. The friendships she portrays between Jensen and his best friends, Teagan and Chase, show a deep love and respect in their unique relationship. I love books where friends are actually your family of choice, because those are the people that will always have your back. I look forward to more books in this series and others by Ms. Aymes.
I absolutely love this book. Kahlen has this way with words that draws you in and captivates you from start to finish. From the moment I met Jensen in Trading Yesterday, I knew his story needed to be told and I knew that it was going to be an emotional and heartwarming story. By nature, Jensen is a helper. As we saw in Trading Yesterday, he literally wears his heart on his sleeve and will do anything he can to help those in need. When Jensen meets Missy his world is turned upside down. Missy has a heartbreaking story of her own and is struggling to move on and support her little boy. To say she is hesitant to get involved with Jensen is an understatement, but you really can't blame her for being cautious after everything she has been through. However, Jensen is persistent, when he wants something, he will put his heart and soul into it. I loved watching their relationship process and I loved watching Missy's walls come down. This book is so beautifully written and the characters will draw you in and take you on an unforgettable journey. Don't miss out on this incredible book!
Finding Tomorrow is the awesome follow-up to Trading Yesterday. It is not necessary to read Trading Yesterday first but it is highly recommended as the characters you fell in love with before will continue in this well written follow up.
The characters are so well written you will immediately care for and fall in love with them, wishing you were a part of their extended family. Jensen is even more lovable in this book. It is hard to believe that a man like him really exists. Missy is realistically written as an abused single parent that you will care for immediately. The children Remi and Dylan are truly adorable. Teagen and Chase are people I wish I had as best friends.
This is a second chance romance that has all the feels. You will definitely laugh and there is no way you can't cry at parts of this book. Of course, it has a HEA. I have already read most of it twice and look forward to the future books.
Finding Tomorrow by Kahlen Aymes is a wonderful read. We met Jensen in book one Trading Yesterday. Jensen is a wonderful loving loyal man who is willing to do what needs to be done and that is rescuing someone in need. Missy has taken a job where Jensen works and Jensen has to help her in her new position and instantly falls for her but she is running from a ex abusive husband. Will Jensen be able to help Missy and be able to be together? I recommend reading this it will pull at your heart. Kahlen writes beautiful words that keep you hooked and wanting more. Make aure to one click.
This was one of my favorite books this year, it was exceptional. The storyline captured every element of emotion from love and laughter to steamy romance and riveting suspense, the characters were exceptionally well-written. I enjoyed the pace of this book from start to finish and I really enjoyed the dual point of view from both characters. This was definitely a five-star book and one I highly recommend reading. I can hardly wait for the next story in this series, the first two were exceptional.
I have loved almost everything I have read by Kahlen Aymes and Finding Tomorrow doesn't dissapoint! Kahlen has a way of taking us on this rollercoaster ride of emotions with her writing and this time was no different! Definately worth putting on your TBR list ASAP. #FindingTomorrow, the emotional follow-up to #TradingYesterday!
Jensen deserved a beautiful love and he found that love in Melissa (Missy) Ellington and her son Dylan. Missy and Remi also build a special relationship very quickly to round out the Forrester-Jeffers family. This book will make you angry, excited, mad, happy, and so much love that you may even cry!
After reading Trading Yesterday which I loved, I was excited to see Jensen and his story was to be told in Finding Tomorrow. Melissa's story and life is so sad, but the love for her son Dylan makes her take the biggest step of their lives to protect him from her ex. She meets Jensen at his workplace and their lives will never be the same....especially if she can let down those walls.
