this is the second book in a series and because a lot of shit goes down in the first one, I can’t get into the actual plot because of spoilers, so let me be vague :) I gave this one, as well as the first book, 4 stars :) these stories may not be the best that are out there… to be perfectly honest they are definitely way over the top with a solid dose of ridiculous but they are fun and super easy reads for me :) it’s the perfect read when I need something I can get through really quickly between other, more serious, stories and it gets the job done :) Seren’s adventures can definitely make you roll your eyes a bit, but these books don’t take themselves too seriously and I like it :) although I am still waiting for that reverse harem thing I’ve been promised… ;) so far there have been some possible teasers, but nothing actually happened ;) it’s not gonna work for everyone but I liked them enough to want to pick up the next one, and we shall see from there ;)

XOXO

Seren continues her relationship with her boyfriend, gets a visit from mirror moths that show her a vision of a really bad future that includes a magic staff with a raven head owned by a hag.
We meet an exciting dark skinned and winged unseely fairy named Raza that turns out to be a dragon shifter full of power, enough to rule but unwilling to put the effort into it. Unfortunately, the scene is quite small so we are left with a desire for more.

Overall a fun story, action packed and I keep waiting it to become a Reverse Harem.

I'm undecided as to a rating I keep alternating between 3 & 4 stars. In any case I'll be reading the next books in this series

So confused.

First and foremost, the book just lacks something for me. No real excitement or anything. Most of the book just feels like traveling from here to there to fix something or investigate. When you finally get to the point it’s over too quick. No real fight or anything, it’s just kinda over and done. And a lot of stuff that is added in that could have just been left out and doesn’t really add to the story, which is when I tend to start skimming.

So I bought the first book by accidentally clicking the buy button, but I saw the authors name and I thought I had read something that I liked from her before, so I went with it. The details said it was a slow-burn reverse harem, which sounded fine, so instead of trying to get my money back I just decided to go for it.

I dunno about slow burn, because she has been sleeping with Tiernan since book one and now they are talking about the future and marriage. Not sure where the reverse harem comes in when she literally hasn’t even had any type of relations with anyone else, and at this point it feels like she would just be cheating on Tiernan since they are in their little love bubble with each other.

Not sure how many books are in this series, but I’m definitely setting this aside for now since I did a lot of skimming in this book. Maybe I might come back and try book 3 someday…. For now it’s just meh.

A really good book. Seren is hilarious even at the most inopportune times. I’ve noticed an environmentalist trend running through these novels. Book one Seren went way off track about an environmentalist group trying to save moths from extinction. In this book it’s the Salmon in Alaska. I’m actually interested to see if I can spot one in the next book. Seren has really come along as a character starting as a bitter, sarcastic and angry extinguisher to now a kind, benevolent, clever, sometimes uncouth (though it’s funny) young leader. Despite her undying love for Tiernan I keep expecting this to turn into a reverse harem for some reason. I’m imagining it with Conri, that lord razi from the unseelie, and possibly chad? Maybe? I also like how in each book we learn more and more about this authors fairy world and residents. I am however, slightly on edge due to the fact that each book has been its own little adventure and the main story line which I think is Seren becoming the fairy peacekeeper as well as maybe something between Dani and Anu (maybe?.). With each book not focusing as much on the endgame goals and focusing more on the problems popping up in the meantime makes me think that this could likely go on for a while.

I just couldn't finish this book. I could gloss over the constant repeats and excessive detail but the main character is a petulant child. She is meant to be an ambassador but she has the tact of a bull in a China shop, speaks without thinking, let's her anger get the best of her and has not an ounce of respect for other cultures. In other words a stereotypical American. Also, the weird comments about not having children before marriage even though she is shacking up with a dude and has never once mentioned birth control, the insta love and the gay joke she made about Bress (in the previous book I believe) have completely turned me off.

It's a great premise and I am disapointed. the two stars are for the world building and other characters. I found them interesting but the MC just ruined it for me.

Seren is adjusting to her new role as a Faerie Princess and an ambassador between the kingdoms and the human realm. She receives a vision of doom for the humans that ends up being a tangible plot that she and Tiernan must investigate and prevent. Oh, and she might discover more about her powers along the way.

I like what is going on, and I like Seren as an MC. She's a funny badass. I'm still stuck on how this is going to turn into an RH, 'cause it isn't showing any signs of that yet and it is tagged as RH, so???? Now I am fixated on that aspect of the series and need to see how it unfolds. I should just be appreciating the hot times she gets to spend with Tiernan, but I'm impatient for more hotties. Queue up the next book for me, I'm diving in.

Conri

Ok I know this book is about Seren and Tiernan but I am loving me some Conri! I hope when it turns RH he gets to be in the picture. The storyline is very captivating and I am enjoying this series.

Beautiful ending!

Ok, this amazing writer, Amy Sumida, is my new favorite author. ✍️❤️I absolutely love the sweet story of Tiernan & Seren💘and the hilarious moments they have.😂

“The Council has ordered me to protect Ms. Evergreen and see this through. We do not want a war with you humans.”

“Could you say 'you humans' with just a little more scorn please?” I smirked at him. “It wasn't quite obvious enough.”

“You're very welcome here, Count,” Murdock spoke over me.

“Dracula,” I added under my breath.

“What was that, Extinguisher Seren?” Murdock pinned me with his gaze.

“Nothing,” I said innocently. “I was clearing my throat.” I said it again, “Dra”—cough—“cula.”

“Where is that ferry?” “Which one?” Conri frowned, both baffled and upset. “The boat, not a Fairy person,” I clarified for Conri, then gave Tiernan a look over my shoulder. “See, it's confusing, which makes it funny.”

“No, it's not.” Tiernan came forward, his boots making shushing noises in the pale pebbles as if even they didn't appreciate my humor. “And there it is.” He pointed straight ahead.

“That wasn't there a second ago.” I frowned at the massive barge that was just coasting onto the shore a little ways down from where Cat was playing.

“It's a fairy ferry.” Tiernan smirked. “It appears when you need it.”

“Fuck you, Seren!” Brendan snarled. “You had better—” Tiernan started but I touched his hand and gave him a pleading look.

We didn't have time for this nonsense. “You sound angry, Brendan,” I observed. “Maybe you should try meditating.”

The elevator dinged and the doors swished open on the residential floor. “You can stick your meditating up your ass, Princess.” Brendan stepped out.

“Namaste, motherfucker,” I called as the doors swished closed. “Namaste, motherfucker?” Tiernan laughed.

“I don't know.” I chuckled too. “It just came out.” “It was like Tupac meets Deepak.” He laughed harder.

“I don't know what shocks me more”—I gaped at him—“you knowing who Deepak Chopra is or Tupac Shakur.”

“Hey, I'm living the thug life,” he said with a serious face. “Fairy style.” I laughed so hard that I started crying.

These guys lol can’t wait to continue with The Twilight Court Book series.📚❤️

A fun read

After Fairy Struck, Pixie-Led is not as action packed or as fast paced, but it makes up for that with more character building, and interactions with King Kier’s family and with Danu.

Definitely an attention grabbing story and I will definitely be continuing on to the third book.

Faetastic

Unique story that has well made characters, romance, action and in a unique fae world. Does have some spelling errors which need to be fixed and the main character needs to mature more. A good read despite some flaws!

I think I like this series..... Still not sure....

I don't hinky I like this series but honestly I'm still not quite sure...
Even though Vervain from the "Goduunter" series can get on my last nerve at times I've learned to love her but not just her,her world and all the wonder ppl in it that keep me coming back for more and after reading 15-16 books in that series ( bought them too) I'm too deep in to really wanna quit any way... Why do I bring that up ? Well, even though Seren is rather different from Vervain in lots of ways their also very much alike in others, like how BOTH are Key to supposedly holding More than one realm together, especially Fairy/Faerie together.... Both the while HATING racism or sexism or any other ism you can think or and despise judge mental or hypercritical ppl is very, very quick to judge others ( just like V) and very often imitates the behavior she supposedly soo deeply despises ( just like V).... Acting more like 16 at times than 26 , while I do enjoy both characters both have a quick to judge, quick to anger, immaturity that honestly gets on my very last nerve at times and I'm honestly not sure if I can handle two characters like that .... One might be enough for me especially when my genre is romance at the moment and despite her many, many faults and her almost seeming to have a perchance for being kidnapped Vervain and her Godhunters is a romance multiple mates and all.... But even though Tiernan stays almost glued to Seren's side, this honestly this feels more being a fairy peace keeper/maker story than romance.... It's always about the story just about not the romance their together just about 24/7 but almost about the trouble her relatives or other Fae are getting into or creating NOT Tiernan and Seran's relationship... Even when Vervain was just seeing Thor in her series they had time together just two of them and went on dates,I honestly hurt when Thor broke her heart because a very beautiful/wonderful date they had on his boat where he got her to swim w/dolphins to help her get over her fear of the water... It was just beautiful and made me love them as a couple soo much, but Tiernan and Seren are almost always about the work of her life and NOTHING more they almost have a what could have been a very BEAUTIFUL and Interesting love see with some wild roses and some vines in interesting places love scene, but just as she relaxes and let's Tiernan have control it ends and supposedly all happens off script/camera per say and their then walking back to the castle w/out soo much as a by your leave... And I'm like WTF ,what happened ? It as like a tiny bit of foreplay and then quitting ....
My point ? Another annoying ( yet mostly love able character) (immature, quick anger and judgement) plus little to No romance in a book that supposedly a romance ? Aaaaaaaaa,I'm honestly not sure, when V is getting on my last nerve and she's being kidnapped for the umpteenth time sometimes it's her romantic relationships and her love them and vice versa that takes the sting out of it all, but here ? There isn't anything really to balance out Seren's know it all, get to judge, sometimes rash behavior, it's nothing but her running around,no sex,( not really) no romance ( some flirting) not enough to balance out her mainly obnoxious behavior ;( I think maybe one of this writers h's is all I can take..

Pixie-led continues the story of Seren and her crazy family who are constantly tryin got murder her, lots of fun for Seren.

Shes still desperately trying to hold onto her humanity despite being totally immersed in the fae culture.
I love her developing relationship with Teirnan, hes still super sexy and lovable, albeit a litte uptight.

We get to explore the slightly less horrific side of the Unseelie Court and along the way meet Raza, who Seren is very very attracted too. I'm feeling a potential RH boyfriend!

Seren's Grandmother is batshit crazy, even though she is the Queen of the Seelie. I loved how Seren totally put her in her place. That crazy development about whats been happening with her dad and the Queen! wow! i didn't see that one coming. What kind of cray bitch does that!

Anyway, Seren saves the day from a Hag hellbent on destroying the realm with the help of someone completely unexpected.
Looking forward to the next book!

I had some issues with this book, even though I still enjoyed it at times.

My first problem was the constant repeat of things we already learned in the first book. I don’t mind it, when it’s only a short reminder of what we learned before to make it easier to get into the story again, but that wasn’t the case here.

The plotline was all over the place, for me that ruined any kind of suspense The author describes some things in extreme detail while others are kept too short.

It really rubbed me the wrong way when the author used this book to advertise another book series from her.

Now to the things I enjoyed in this book. I like the premise of this series and some of the characters were very interesting and likeable.

Ambassador at large.

Seren is settling into her role as Princess of Twilight and Ambassador between the three Seelie courts and Humanity. She is helped by Count Tiernan, Lord of the Wild Hunt, of course and the fact that she has met Danu adds to her stature with the Fey for none of them have been blessed by the goddess in millennia. That doesn’t mean that she is totally accepted. The animals have recognised her and her royal guard have all been blessed by the goddess but many others look down on her for her human blood.
One of these is her evil uncle Uisdean, King of the Unseelie, who knows that he cannot attack her directly but he thinks that he can get away with putting her into a situation where she could be killed by someone else. So, he uses her position as an Ambassador to send her into danger. But Danu is with her and opens up her magic.
How she resolves the problem and increases her control of her new powers makes for a good adventure.

Not much happens in the second book of the Twilight court series.
For the most part, we just learn more about the fairies and their magic. We also meet some new relatives of Seren.
All the action takes place somewhere in the last 70 pages or so. Seren manages to prevent a new crisis and more firmly establish her position as an Ambassador.

Despite the lack of action, the story was still interesting to read. I love the relationship between Seren and Keir, and also how she held herself with her new relatives.
The only thing that really made me sad is Ewan and how he is unable to let go of his anger and see that it all wasn't Seren's fault.
All in all, the book was good.

Cats to love you?

The book is good. The twilight princess, the various courts, Amy's obvious enjoyment in the telling of the story, and a box understanding of Irish mythology. This is the second series by her I've read, and I enjoy her style, her characters, the flaws and strengths they develop throughout, and in this series the interaction of the vet and hr.

Good read, engaging, if you like any of the above, give her a try. You'll probably enjoy it.

This book was a great addition to the Twilight court series, seren is coming into her fairy abilities and her role as ambassador between HR & FR. Danu has come forward and things are going great for the Twilight princess. Alliances were made in strange places but Seren has taken her role as peace-maker seriously and she is making waves.

Abandoned at about 1/4 of the book. Just couldn't keep interested. There was so much repetition, and descriptive text, that I felt the story was boring... I could skip a dozen paragraphs, then a dozen pages and didn't miss much.

Unique and fresh

The continuation of the Twilight Court Series helped propel Seren further into growth and into her magic. As a character, she is funny and wholesome - while still holding a moral compass that makes her suited for her new role.

This book suffers from long explanations and effusive imagery - yet it doesn’t jar as much as the first book. I’m still not a big fan of the first chapter appearing almost like an introduction diary, nor the dreaded rehash, but it was easy to overlook when the story found its footing.

Plenty of humor and quotes, plus enough scientific references in environmental issues to make you turn to Google - a plus in a fiction novel. As a romance, it lacks, featuring a relationship that feels almost tossed in for conversation and ease. Especially since the author only alludes to sex and never features it, a bold choice considering today’s audience.

Overall, this is a solid second novel - one which will lead you quickly to download book 3.

Recaps!

Why write a series?
You want to keep your reader interested enough for them to buy the next book. And I have read series that on the last page it says something like (she looks at the door and their is.....) And your like oh wow, I need the next book! But recaps! Please why bother if I want to know what happened in book one , read book one! I hate wasted pages, I read book one plz don't tell me about it again!

As much as I enjoyed Fairy-Struck, book 1, and am a fan of the Godhunter series, I can't appreciate this series as much and find Seren immature and dull by comparison. The series has witty, fast-paced dialogue, but that's still not enough to keep me reading. If I'd read this series first, I may have enjoyed it more.

Could not put it down

This was fun continuation of the story. I enjoyed the discussion of politics and the environment and when and how we should be involved. It was deeper than I was expecting.

Only one guy still at the end of book 2, and sex scenes are almost non-existent. Not a complaint just a comment

Great series

I really love this urban fantasy series including action, adventure, mystery, romance, and character growth and a strong heroine. It could use another round of editing, to catch the occasional, auto corrected word, but well worth the read!
