I loved this book for so many reasons. First and foremost, the collection of amazing women that collaborated on this book are treasures in the realm of faith and self-help. They have created a community of support with this book that is nothing like I’ve seen. As for the book itself, it is set up in 26 chapters/invitations that can be read and reread in any order, with tasks to be done at the end of each one created to help with communication, understanding, forgiveness, and love. This book will bring wives closer to God and strengthen their faith, and in this help bring them closer to their husbands by softening their hearts, connecting with intention, and creating more intimacy. I predict Dear Wife will be the new must-read book for wives in every season of marriage - the newlywed, the frazzled parent who doesn’t have time for herself let alone her husband, the empty-nester who wants to reconnect, the wife whose marriage has gone through difficult times, and the wife whose marriage is wonderful and wants to keep it that way. You’ll want to share it with every mother, sister, daughter you know.

This book is a treasure trove of wisdom, insight and practical advice for the wife who is ready to take steps toward healing her marriage. It is convicting, inspiring and down to earth! Each contributor shares their deeply personal struggles and triumphs so that the reader knows they are not alone. Practical questions and actionable steps at the end of each chapter give the reader courage to stand up and make changes. I highly recommend this book to those who are ready to fall in love with Jesus and learn how to love their husbands well.

I’m delighted to be one of 17 contributors for Dear Wife, a book to help wives connect with God and their husbands. We share our real-life struggles and victories in this book to help you grow in your faith and strengthen your marriage. These 10-minute invitations are practical help for wives who want to have a stronger marriage.

Here is a sampling of the devotion titles:

Disengage With Dysfunction
Responding to His True Need
A Choice in the Response
It’s in the Approach
Choosing to Cherish
Many of the other authors are personal friends of mine, and we all contribute to a wonderful site called A Wife Like Me. I have read the entire book myself, and I found encouragement from my sisters in Christ. Each devotion features reflection questions with space to record your answers. It also has ideas for connecting with your husband based on what you learned in the devotion.

If you want to learn about marriage from wives who have walked in your shoes, I encourage you to order a copy of Dear Wife today. We would all appreciate you sharing an Amazon review once you read the book. Best of all, the proceeds from this book will help fund a conference we hope to organize in the future!

If you're looking for your marriage to grow "Dear Wife" is the book for you! This precious book meets you where ever you are on your journey are a wife and can follow you into each season. A book you can read and work through over and over again. 17 amazing writers/wives contributed to writing each invitation. Throughout the pages of this book they do real life with their readers, you and I. You can feel their love for God, their husbands, family and us jumping out of each invitation. They offer wise, sound, practical tools to connect us even deeper to our husbands and God.
Amanda Davison shared with us that 70% of women initiate divorce. "The enemy is clearly targeting us - so we are FIGHTING BACK - the best way - TOGETHER. Not just me, not just her. ALL OF US.
Because when we link arms and stand TOGETHER, FOR EACH OTHER? We impact. And the impact is much, much greater. Because there is power in a bunch of women who are deciding and believing for MORE."
"We want to see more wives RISE UP and find what they're looking for. We're believing for it. And we won't stop because wives are gaining speed here. They're seeing progress and it feels good. CHEERS, to a whole lot of wives for marriage!'

An amazing team wrote this book and my hope is that you get an opportunity to read it.

This book is one-of-a-kind! It's comprised of a collection of invitations written by an amazing, diverse, group of women. It's both insightful and practical. I love how each invitation illuminates a passage of Scripture, helps strengthen your relationship with God, and then offers practical ways that you can connect with your husband based on a specific topic. I would highly recommend this book if you desire to grow in your faith as well as improve your marriage.

This book is so real and raw, revealing things as wives we tend to ignore. I did the invitations with the idea that they may go unnoticed and to my surprise my marriage is thriving! This book is a must read for all stages of marriages and for young and old!!

Each 'chapter' begins with Scripture followed by a reflection by one of the many contributors to this book. There are also a few reflection questions that could be used for pondering, journaling or discussing with other wives. The final parts are Connect with the Father (ie God) and then Connect with Your Husband. The first is a call to spend time with our heavenly Father in prayer and then after experiencing His love, we reach out to our husband. Some of the Connect with Your Husbands may not be for everyone but they are at least something upon which to reflect.
I LOVE the word of caution at the beginning of the book that this book is not meant for destructive marriages that include abuse, addiction or abandonment. Glad to see they recommended seeking a counselor.
This book can be used by the newlywed bride, the tired mom and even empty nesters. Who can't benefit from spending time in prayer and then intentional connection with their spouse?

I consider my marriage to be a great one, but I know there is always room for improvement in every area of my life. After reading this book it turns out there was and still is a lot of room for growth! I've been married nearly 18 years and even after reading and completing just the first two invitations, I had a lot to scratch into my journal about things to improve for myself and my marriage. I was surprised at the reactions and responses from my husband when I would ask him questions or do things for him, making me want to be a better and more joyful wife. I realized more that good relationships start with improving oneself and letting go of expectations to change the other. By the grace of God we wives can make an impact on our husbands and marriages, but it has to begin with examining and working on our own lives. I encourage you to read it! It's full of funny and serious real stories from real women which I love!

Dear Wife is a perfect title for this book! Amanda Davison and the other author contributors have written a beautiful love letter — inviting wives to come alongside and share in the struggles, joys, and wisdom they’ve each discovered on the wonderful and oftentimes difficult road of marriage. Each Invitation begins with scripture, setting our eyes first on Christ just as we should, and then leads into a story that is sure to have you crying, laughing, cheering, or all three! But this isn’t just about real-life storytelling (although it’s amazing), it’s about equipping us to look beyond ourselves and our spouse and find a new perspective and renewed strength in Jesus. The Reflection and Connection sections at the end of each chapter help us go deeper with God and to discover ways to reconnect with Him and with our husbands. Dear Wife, do yourself a favor and get this book! Your marriage will thank you.

This book is for every wife. From the introduction I was encouraged to see that these women recognize that no marriage is the same and is written in a way to meet you where you are in your own marriage, wherever that may be. Each chapter is called an invitation, and thats exactly what it is. It’s an invitation to ask yourself sometimes tough questions, to grow in your faith and strengthen your marriage. If you are looking for a book to tell you how to have a good marriage, this is not it. It is soo much more than that. It is meant to guide you on your journey towards God and in turn see how through that you can build your marriage as well.

The book itself has a beautiful layout with short invitations (chapters only a few pages long) so it’s an easy read. Each invitation includes a set of questions to think about and I appreciated that there is space for jotting down thoughts.

Whether you have been married 35 hours or 35 years, this book will speak to you. A great find.

This book is such a gem! It is a collaboration of wonderful women writers. The book has 26 "Invitations" that you can read in any order. There is a task to be done at the end of each invitation. It has brought me closer to God and to my husband. This is a must read for ALL wives, regardless if you are newly wed or celebrating 60 years together. I will be purchasing extra copies for gifts. This is such a powerful book, I can't recommend it enough!

Testimony: when I first started reading this book, my husband of 26 years and I were separated. After reading this book and implementing the tasks from each chapter, I'm happy to say we are back together and working hard to mend our marriage. God is good and I praise Him for bringing this book into my life.

This book is clearly written from the hearts and souls of women... led by God, in so many way. It is inspiring. It is real. It is raw. It is encouraging. It is a book that is worth going through many times, as more and more can be gleaned with each read. Highlighter is necessary, in my opinion. A journal is recommended for writing thoughts, and coming back to later.
Very grateful for the women who were open to sharing theirnhearts and situations in this ministry to reach out and let others know they are not alone, and they are loved! Deeply, passionately, and completely!
Highly recommended!!!

I absolutely love this book! It is a book of 26 invitations for a wife to grow closer to her heavenly Father and her husband. Each invitation is like a letter from your friend. In that letter, she talks to you about how Jesus connected with people around Him, and often gives a personal story from her own marriage. There are reflection questions and wife tips. It is very well-written and very personal. Any marriage could be transformed by this book. Obviously, it is for wives, but all women could benefit from this book as it is going to help them grow closer to God as they go through the invitations.

This is a game changer for women and marriages! The challenges put forth in this book will help women to heal, grow, and ultimately be daily pointed to their first Love. In turn, their view of their earthly husband and marriage will be turned on its head, allowing hurts to be set down and growth to flourish. The women behind this book, lead by Amanda Davison, have a gift for writing in such a way that readers will feel known while also be clearly pointed to areas where heart work is needed. Well done!

This book is for any women who wants a better marriage. This book was a collaboration of women writers who learned that by putting Christ first their marriages their relationships with God and their spouses grew better. Knowing that these women struggled with some of the same issues that I have in my marriage gave me some great insight. The questions asked after each invitation are thought provoking and sometimes uncomfortable, but very inspirational. Would make a great gift.

Whether you’re in a strong season, needing a nudge, separated, broken, numb.... it doesn’t matter. This book meets you where you are in your journey together. It can help with maintenance or completely restore your mind/heart/marriage. This book provides Godly insight on how to not only approach situations differently, but also how to think differently. If you are looking for your own daily devotional or a new devotional for your small group/bible study, I highly recommend the Dear Wife book!

SO far this book has opened my eyes and made me see what I need to change and help me to forgive and place my burdens down at the cross.
I have to remember to always move towards my husband in a place of love and grace. Jesus has allowed me to love his son, I need to make sure that I am thankful for that.
I love that each chapter is an invitation. This was hard at first but I know that I need to step towards him and not away.
This book will save marriages!

As a "seasoned" wife, I am not new to marriage resources so when I was introduced to this book I expected it to be like others I have read. Boy was I wrong! This book is a must for EVERY wife! I am moved beyond words how this book has impacted the way I look at my husband and marriage through God's eyes. This book has given me a new out look on strengthening my marriage in ways I have never known before. A must read for every wife!

I’m reading it a chapter at a time, daily. So far, it has been “spot on” with advice on how to cultivate a happy marriage. We’ve been happily married for nearly 48 years and even I’ve learned a few new things or reminded of things I already knew, from the younger gals writing this book. It’s well worth your time! It will be released May 1. Got to www.dearwifebook.com to order your’s today.
