When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. - John 16:13

Yet my God is more silent than ever before.
Even worse, I’m trapped in this spiral, more focused on a singular addiction.
It isn’t the alcohol this time.
The killer’s turning more brazen. With each roadblock we throw up in front of her, she finds a new way around it.
Murdering at a quicker speed.
Taunting me at every turn.
But it’s Kiera that dominates. Kiera that rules. The mystery of her becomes even more important than all the lives being lost in Boston.
There’s an illness in her family. One as pervasive as what’s infected our streets. I don’t know what it is yet, but my soul is determined to find out.
Maybe my God isn’t silent. Maybe he is speaking.
The voice telling me I need to save her is the strongest of all.
The most consuming.
There’s a circle of lies—my own and that of others—closing in from every side.
Little do I realize, everything is about to crash down around me, putting every one I love at risk.

As always, Maverick dominated this story. Not only was it told from his perspective, but every nuance to this tale had a piece of him in it. He was ingrained into every scene, whether it was about the case, his fight against the bottle, or his newfound obsession with Kiera. He's been battling with himself and his wants and needs and morality from the start. This woman gets under his skin like no other, distracting him from the case and seemingly leading him down the path to madness. It's all so incredibly hot and intriguing. She's connected to everything and their relationship is completely forbidden. Yet neither one of them can stay away. I can't wait to get the next tidbit of this mystery!

Once again, Blanco and Garcia blasted my mind with this thriller. I'm trying so hard to solve these slayings, tempted to jump the gun and list out my ideas for possibilities. I've made and tossed out so many assumptions and there's nothing I love more than having my brain teased with clues. They're everywhere and nowhere and these authors are leading me down a dark and depraved road of irresistible wonder. I'm thoroughly hooked and the next installment can't come soon enough!!

My Review: This is the 3rd continuance to the St. Cecilia Slayings series. This is one step closer to the series completing. Keira and Maverick still have that hot chemistry between them. Maverick is still looking for the female killer but every time he gets close to figuring out at who it is she does a complete 180. And the ending... Well you have to read it to see what the cliffhanger is....

OMG just when I think I am starting to figure this story out, it all takes a sharp left turn and has my mind in turmoil and questioning everything. These authors takes us on one hell of a ride with Depraved and weave their magic with temptation, secrets and drama to keep us guessing. As Maverick battles his own morals, beliefs and his inner demons, his attraction to Kiera drives him to a point of near mania. This third book in this series was action packed and full of suspense and will lure you further into this craziness. I will warn you the ending is mind blowing and will leave you craving the answers that we are all begging for. Bring on book 4 in the St Cecilia Slayings as you have tainted me, corrupted me and have now depraved me so cannot wait to find out what you have in store for me next with this series.

And the suspense continues

I bought this book today and re-read it again because I also received this book through Booksprout as an ARC for a voluntary and honest review.
Depraved Book 3 of the St. Cecilia Series by two phenomenal authors; N Isabelle Blanco and Dee Garcia, which omg you girls are killing me....

***THIS IS NOT A STANDALONE***

With more darkness, more questions than answers, a whole lot more suspense and drama, more twists and turns the story continues to find the killer...

The chemistry between Maverick and Kiera is still off the charts hot and sexy.
Maverick is still at war with his demons.
The body count is rising, the killer is changing MOs.
Elon relationship with his sister seems unorthodox, but why....
Nathaniel Blackstone is acting really weird for a cop, which makes Ruby more suspicious.

Excellent writing and overall amazing story....
Again highly recommend this series, however, start with book 1 Tainted, book 2 Corrupted

Another fantastic, sizzling roller coaster ride. This book was so hard to put down. There was just so much going on and I loved every second of it. Very fast paced thriller that will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. Full of suspense, intrigue and so many fantastic sizzling moments.
So much Suspense and Intrigue!

Maverick is going through some very intense emotional ups and downs. I didn't know whether to cheer for him or yell at him (WTF Dude!!). There are still so many unanswered questions about many of the characters in this series. When I think I know what is going on things change once again and I have no clue what just happened. When Maverick and Kiera get together - HOLY HOTNESS. So many panty melting moments. These two authors do not disappoint.

I can't wait to read what happens next. Will we finally catch the killer???

Highly Recommend this series.

Now we are starting to get into the story more, but Maverick seems to be losing his mind when it comes to the two women he is screwing, and he has no idea what is going on in his city. His partner is giving him a hard time, and he has no idea what is going on with his crew at the police station. But more importantly, he is finding out that there are some very unorthodox things going on between Kiera and her brother Elon.

What will we find out next?

5 STARS

Depraved by N. Isabelle Blanco and Dee Garcia is book #3 of a 6 book dark romantic suspense novella series. This series MUST be read in order, if you haven’t read the first two books please don’t read any further, this review may contain spoilers for the first two books in the series. So far, these novellas are told in just Maverick’s POV. Just when you think things can’t get any crazier, they do! There are still so many unanswered questions and the further we get into the story the harder it is to fight through the web of deception.
“No wonder it’ll all end up where it does. No fucking wonder. I was a goner from day-fucking-one.”
Maverick is at war with his demons and failing miserably. Now, not only is he fighting against his morality and that voice in his head, he’s fighting to resist drinking which he fails at way more often than not AND his newfound addiction to little Miss Keira Dubois.

Keira is so far under his skin now that there is no way to get her out… but at this point, Maverick doesn’t want to get rid of her anyways. She’s distracting him from this case, distracting him from EVERYTHING.

As the body count rises, Maverick is getting closer and closer to revealing secrets that he’s not even sure he wants to uncover. The Dubois family is connected to these killings, he knows it. He just isn’t sure if he wants to prove it anymore. What does that mean for him and Keira if he does?
“Despite what I know and all that’s come to light, I keep hoping and praying they’re innocent. No, I need them to be innocent-because I need Keira DuBois like I need my next breath.”
As the killer continues to taunt him, Maverick can’t help but wonder… what if he’s next?
“Will she actually kill me? The thought hits me as I watch the body bag being rolled away to the ambulance. That familiar chill settles at the base of my spine.”

These ladies are killing it with this series! Seriously, both of their writing styles are amazing, but you combine them together and HOLY SHIT! The suspense is KILLING me, you guys!

I can totally understand why this case is making Maverick lose his damn mind, it’s surely driving me crazy too! I’ve made a list of suspects, and of what we “know” so far. I have in mind who I THINK it is, but just like the rest of this book, NOTHING is as it seems so I’m sure what I THINK I know, I really don’t. Exactly how these two psychos who wrote this wanted it to be! LOL

There are sooo many unanswered questions that are keeping me on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE time I’m reading. What is going on with Detective Blackstone? What in the HELL is going on with Elon and Keira… that shit is most definitely not normal and now the patient records? OMG, seriously losing my damn mind over here, I need the end of this book like yesterday!

The chemistry between Maverick and Keira is INTENSE! They can’t 5 ft of each other without jumping each other’s bones and I have no idea what he is going to do if he has to take Ruby with him back to her family’s house and Keira is there… the jig will surely be up because Ruby is way too inquisitive NOT to notice Maverick staring like a dog with a bone every time he looks Keira’s way.

That cliffhanger, OMG why is she there? BUT then they HADDDD to go and throw in that “sneak peek” of Coveted! HOLY SHIT!!!! I won’t give anything away but OMFG, who put that kind of fear in her eyes?!?! This series has me hook, line, and sinker! Amazing fucking job ladies!

Now bring on Coveted, I NEED answers!

I HIGHLY recommend starting this series ASAP

Just when I thought that this series couldn't get any more suspenseful I was proven wrong. There are so many unanswered questions that continue to build on the amazing foundation that book one of this series started. I thought I was starting to figure things out to only again be wrong. The way that these two authors manipulate scenarios and details is truly mind-boggling. I know I shouldn't be fascinated by a serial killer on the loose but I am. There are so many players in this game that I have no idea who can be trusted and who can't be. What is the connection between Maverick, the cross, Kiera, Elon, Ruby, and even Nathaniel? I feel like I am a mouse caught in a labyrinth of hell and these authors are toying with me before they swoop in for the kill.

This series is an elaborate chess game with many pieces on the board. There is a sense of cunning that I admire as these two authors manipulate the players, and the audience's emotions, by placing them exactly where they want them in order to have the game of all games. Anyone expecting answers had better move along because they sure are not going to get them just yet. My grandpa once told me that the reason that chess is a game that cannot be rushed and that I need to savor it because it is a reminder that just one move can alter the game in either direction which is why I always needed to remember that to every action there is a reaction-- so be mindful. As much as I am dying to know the outcome I am going to have to heed his advice here and not try and force the end too soon. These two amazing authors are on to something, I just have to have to remember that patience is a virtue.

Be prepared for a whopper of a cliffhanger. I might have sworn like a chain-smoking French harlot in church when I got to the end. And by might, I TOTALLY did. Good things I love these authors something fierce because I might have had to go all number 1 fan on them, Misery-style.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the third book in the St.Celia Slayings Series. You have to have read the first two novellas or your going to be lost all through Depraved.

Yet my God is more silent than ever before. Even worse, I'm trapped in this spiral, more focused on a singular addiction. It isn't the alchol this time. The killer's turning more brazen. With each roadblock we throw up in front of her, she finds a new way around it. Murdering at a quicker speed. taunting me at every turn. But it's Kiera that dominates. Kiera that rules. The most consuming. There's a circle of lies - my own and that of others - cling in from every side. Little do I realize, everything is about to crash down around me, putting every one I love at risk.

I am loving this series of novellas. If you want to know more about Maverick and what he is thinking abou this case. Heck, if you want to know more about him period then this book is the one your waiting for. Everything in this book is about him and his hunt for this serial killer, and his obsession with Kiera. I think he has an addction to her worse than his previous addiction to alchol. The killer is picking up speed. She is on a killing spree and she has been seen by Mav's priest as she like to murder near and around his church or dump the bodies there. This is where we learn more about her past history and make some pretty big assumptions. Also these two become more desperate for each other. I can not wait to get the next book in my hands to see what is going to happen.

OMG!! I cannot tell you how much I love this series!! Each book is better than the last! I am so completely obsessed with this series!

Blanco and Garcia once again deliver a magnificent, electrifying, intense thriller that leaves me begging for more. Everytime I think this series can't get any better they prove me wrong. Maverick and Keira are just fascinating to read about. Once again I was hooked from the start and couldn't put this book down.

The book is once again told from Maverick's POV so we get all his ups and downs, and the intense struggling he is going through. His obsession with Keira, his struggle to be sober, and his struggle with the case.

I love that this series is told from Maverick's point of view and that the serial killer is a woman. You don't get that often in a book and to have it be this unparalleled series is amazing!

Once again all the stars for Blanco, Garcia, and the St. Cecilia Slaying series. Depraved left me speechless begging for more

First of Dee and N. Isabelle did an amazing job with this series, they got me hook and desperate for more.

Maverick is more determine than ever to catch this sexy serial killer that is getting brazen by the minute. Every time a new body appears he is more convince that Kiera’s family is connected to the murders.

In between trying to capture the killer and having his instincts on high alert about everything, he finds that he fell in love with Kiera.

Everything is like a ticking bomb that in any moment is going to explode.

I’m very anxious to get the next book, this series is very mind-blowing. I know that is going to get more complicated but I develop an obsession that I won’t satisfy until I finish the last book, but in reality this series would be in my mind for years to come.

For you guys that haven’t read any of this books, STOP!!! Start reading Tainted, you’ll never regret it. This series is a suspenseful thriller that would have you at the edge of your sit.

Gahhh! I’m so beyond addicted to this dark and twisted Series! Deprived is book 3 in the St. Cecilia Slayings and it has left me insane with the need for more! Mav and Kiera’s passion for each-other is more explosive and forbidden than ever! Ruby is still annoying af but I’m definitely on to that blackthorn guy too, because something isn’t right there. Im still dying with the need to know the connection between the calling card and Mav’s cross! I’m proud of Mav this book because he’s not so heavy on the bottle but I think that’s probably because he’s heavy on Kiera! Wink wink! The slayings have seriously increased this book and our latex vixen is toying definitely toying with mav! I’m so consumed and full of suspicion! I just pray Mav makes it out intact, he has a lot to atone for but he’s my obsession! I would definitely slay for him! I received a review copy in exchange for an honest review.

These two authors are an absolute powerhouse when writing. I’ve said it before-but I’ll say it again, they fit together so seamlessly that I can’t tell who is writing what. That’s true talent-and it shows. We get as much dark emotion and thrill from these two authors poured into these pages, that I’m truly awestruck.
Maverick is just such a brilliant character. He’s waging an internal war-and I love every second of it. This series is truly thrilling-it’s gripped me from the very beginning and I simply hope it never ends. Though I’m a bit scared (seriously, how do they think some of this stuff up two of the most creative writers I have ever read) -I know these authors will pull out all the stops going forward. I can’t wait for more!

Once again these two have sucked me into Maverick’s life and I don’t want to come out! The things that get revealed in this part set the stage for what I can only assume is going to be an amazing conclusion. Filled within this part are more of the same except you can tell at this point that everything is building to a point of no return. The story continues to take shape and sucks the reader truly into it. The ending once again leaves you wanting more but that’s okay. I personally cannot wait for the next part.

This is part 3 of this amazing series by two wonderful authors. You really do need to start this series at the beginning to be able to follow along with who everyone is and what is going on. This is a brilliant murder mystery that has held my attention through all three of the books and I’m eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. There’s a lot of depth and some mystery to the characters. There is so much going on with this series. It’s a quick read but every page is packed full of intrigue and mystery.

Depraved is the third book in the St. Cecilia Slayings which follows book 1 (Tainted) and book 2 (Corrupted) and they must be read in order. The series is planned to be 6 books and if the trend continues we will be on the edge of our seat with each ending.

Maverick is obsessed trying to find the killer and also has an unhealthy obsession with Kiera who is connected to the murders….maybe? He is falling apart at the seams. I am barely hanging on myself waiting for book 4 to come out.

This is a great writing pair, you can't tell when they switch and the story flows perfectly on it's dark and twisted journey.

The case seems to be spiraling out of control. More dead bodies. The serial killer has changed her pattern.

Blackstone is still acting weird.

Kiera and Elon argue and he's acting very  possessive.

Everyone is vying for Maverick's attention. Kiera, Ruby and the serial killer. Will he become one of the killer's targets?

Maverick is so consumed with thoughts of Kierra. Alcohol. Will his history repeat itself?

Depraved is fulled with mystery, suspense, murder and sizzling scenes. The author's are playing a game of chess with our minds of who dunnit.

Can't wait for Coveted #4!

Wow another dark intense emotional charged read that has so many twist and turns you won't be able to stop.
Maverick is slowly going more and more on edge about everything and when more murders happen he finds himself spirling out of control trying to figure it all out? With the bodies stacking up will they ever be to figure out who is doing it or will they just keep coming up with questions?
This is not a stand alone and must be read from book 1 or you will be lost.
These ladies know how to keep you on the edge waiting for the next and wanting more now.can't wait to read the next one.
