Lethal Redemption is book two in the Steele Ops series. It is Grace and Cade's story and can be read as a standalone.

Grace is a tough, take no prisoners, FBI agent. Her next op takes her back to DC where her family and her ex, live. There is a lot of history between Grace and Cade and they didn't exactly end on good terms. She's forced to work with him again when her cousins security firm request her help to rescue the Vice Presidents daughter from the very cult Grace walked away from when she
Lethal Redemption is the second installment in the Steele Ops Series by April Hunt and works amazingly well as a standalone. The first book was a 5 star read for me and this definitely delivered for me with all the suspense and the romance.

This story follows Grace Steele, an FBI profiler whose history as a teen involved joining and escaping a cult called the Order of the New Dawn. Now, she is called upon to help the daughter of the Vice President. The mission is to pose as a couple with Cade

I don't often read romantic suspense, but I really enjoyed Lethal Redemption. It was a fast paced and entertaining read. I am a sucker for second chance romances, especially childhood sweethearts, so I was rooting for Grace and Cade from the very start. Throw in the fake relationship trope and lots of action and I was sold! This is book 2 in the series, but can be enjoyed as a standalone. I have not had a chance to read book 1 yet and did not feel lost with the different characters and ...more

The first book in this series featured a serial killer, top of my list of hated tropes. This book has a cult as the focus, number 2 on that same list. Yet . . . I really, really liked this book, and the series as a whole is supremely crafted and structured. The series is centered around a family of former Special Operators, the Steele family, who open a security/dark ops

Grace has worked tirelessly to bury her memories of her time with New Dawn by concentrating on her family, her friends and her work. Anything to keep that time and those memories locked up tight. When the Vice President's daughter gets recruited to the radical cult and Steele Ops gets hired to extract her, Grace will have to revisit her painful past to infiltrate the cult.

If that wasn't bad enough, she'll have to work with her ex, Cade. Posing as a couple and using her

This book was a great introduction to this author’s work. The characters were well rounded and had so much personality. Liam really stood out for me. He added comic relief and lighted so many tension filled situations. Though this is book two in a series it was perfectly written as a standalone. I didn’t get lost in any of the plot or storyline for the main characters and was easily able to jump right in and feel like I already knew each and every person that played a part in the story.

Sissy's Romance Book Review
Lethal Redemption by April Hunt is book Two in the Steele Ops Series. This is the story of Cade Wright and Grace Steele. I have read the previous books but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Grace is a FBI Profile agent who works hard to help others and her job. So when she is requested to help the Vice Presidents daughter who has ended up with the same Cult that Grace escaped from she goes forward to do so. This also puts her back with Cade a man who she loved but ...more

Received in exchange for a honest review.

I think this is my favorite book in the series. I like the background information and seeing Grace struggle and come to terms with her past by facing it. I love how Cade understood what Grace was going through and supporting her and just being there. Not trying to explain things away, not pushing her but supporting her. He didn’t want to lose her to the demons.

Cade was a great character. He had his flaws and that is what draws you to him. He isn’t

Thank you Forever Romance for generously sending a copy of Lethal Redemption!

Do you remember that TV show The Following with Kevin Bacon? If you are as weirdly intrigued by anything and everything cults like I am, you probably watched it too. Lethal Redemption reminded me of The Following in the best ways! Hell yes to a romantic suspense that combines invading a dangerous cult with steam!

I read and loved Deadly Obsession, the first in April Hunt’s Steele Ops series earlier this year. It was my

I was given this book for an honest review by Wicked Reads.

This is the second book in the series and I would very strongly recommend that you read book 1, as you'll understand the characters more thoroughly.

Grace is asked to help out on an op as a personal favor to the vice president. When she doesn't know for sure is that she is going to have to see the one person who she can't seem to forget, despite the

Lethal Redemption is the second book in the Steele Ops series by April Hunt. It can be read as stand-alone and the main characters from book 1 appear in this story, but there is no need to read that book if you don't want to.

The book had a very good premise, but it didn't work out for me. Mainly because the second most used cliche phrase was used when it came to the hero sleeping with other women after the heroine. You see the hero slept with other women in the ten years they were apart, but not

I read the first book in this series and really enjoyed it. This one, I loved. I think it's because the 'world' has already been set up, you know most of the side characters and got a little background on the main characters in the previous book, Deadly Obsession.
Deadly Obsession was my first book by April Hunt and I was super excited to read this one next. We met Cade and Grace in DO and knew there would be a lot of tension between them in Lethal Redemption. Grace, a Special Agent in the FBI

“Years down the line? Maybe. But for now I'd settle for a clean slate and an honest-to-God stab at a second chance.”

Having thoroughly enjoyed Deadly Obsession, which was the first book in this series of interconnected standalones, I was pretty jazzed to read Cade and Grace's story. I found it to be an edge-of-your-seat suspense with a hefty dose of romance and heat, and more than enough banter

FBI agent Grace Steele was 13 when she escaped from the order Of The New Dawn, a cult that her Mother brought her to as a child. Grace had put the cult in her rear view mirror until she is asked to help get the daughter of the Vice President away from the Cult. Grace doesn’t feel she can say no and she is partnered with Cade Wright her former child hood love.

The Steele Ops series has not disappointed so far! This is romantic suspense at its best. I’ve been utterly enthralled with the back stories of these characters and how it plays into their current situation. Grace’s back story is pretty fascinating and really informs her choices as an FBI agent. I really love The strong female leads in these books too! We meet Grace and Cade in book 1, Deadly Obsession, and learn there’s some history between the two. Luckily, April Hunt writes the enemies to ...more

Grace Steele is an FBI profiler - who is called upon to help on a special mission she is uniquely qualified for. It isn’t her profiling skills that are needed this time - it’s her knowledge and history.

When Grace was a little girl, her mom moved them to live with the Order of the New Dawn - a cult. Now someone very important is in the cult and it’s up to Grace and the Steele Ops team to extract her. If that wasn’t already the last place she wanted to be - she’s also going to have to go

I've been enjoying these characters, and this series so much! This is book 2, and it's a second chance romance.

Grace Steele grew up, from age 13 on, as the only girl in a family of boys. Her Aunt Cindy took her in, along with Cindy's 4 crazy teenage sons, Grace's cousins. But from age 5-13, after the death of her father, she lived with her mother in a cult. Those years are still painful for her to think about, and she's locked it all away for years. Now, she's an FBI agent, and profiler, and

Lethal Redemption is the second book in April Hunt's Steele Ops series and it's also the first time I've read one of her novels, and this one worked just fine for me as a standalone, although it did take a bit of time before I understood the familial relationships between Grace, the heroine, and her cousins, who own and operate Steele Ops, and who took her in when she escaped from a cult at age 13, Sanctuary is the location and home to The Order of the New Dawn, a cult to which her mother ...more
April Hunt’s ‘Lethal Redemption’ ticks all the boxes for classic RS on the surface: a high stakes operation, an infiltration and an unresolved tension between a couple who’s got years and years of conflicted history. Grace Steele—a badass FBI agent—is tasked in the middle of the night with extracting the Vie-President’s daughter out of a dangerous cult because of her unique background but to add to the monumentally difficult operation is probably one where she has to work with Cade Wright… ...more

The question of the day for me is this: how have I not read an April Hunt book before? Have I been living under a rock? This book was right up my alley with a strong heroine, former military hero, and a crime to solve all wrapped into one fantastic story. I had the hardest time putting this book down to go to work...or sleep...or eat. Because April sucked me into this world of crime fighting and cult busting, and it made me reconsider my career path. Not that I would make a good FBI agent. ...more

After meeting Grace and Cade in Deadly Obsession, I couldn't wait for their story! These two are clearly meant for each other, but some serious unresolved issues have them at each other's throats more often than not.

Grace spent her early years living in a cult, but when she escaped at the age of 13 she found her real family with the Steeles and their neighbors the Wrights. Cade became Grace's safe place, and their relationship eventually took off until one thing got in their way: his

LETHAL REDEMPTION is the second title in the Steele Ops series, yet this is the first story in this series that I’ve read and I fell right into this world with no trouble, not feeling the least bit lost. So, I will say that I was able to read and enjoy it as a stand-alone title but will definitely go back for the first book, DEADLY OBSESSION, and will be following the series onwards.

Lethal Redemption is the second book in April Hunt’s Steele Ops Series. This is an action-packed, second chance, military-style romantic suspense novel with no cheating and a happily ever after.

It’s been nine years since FBI Profiler, Grace Steele and former Ranger, Cade Wright have been together. Poor communication, bad decisions and secrets have kept the childhood sweethearts apart. But now they must work together to extract a young woman

When the publisher offered me this book for review I said yes without realizing that it’s book 2 in a series. I have rules, and one of them is to never read books out of order. So, I quickly went to Amazon and grabbed the first book. And that started my love affair with April Hunt’s books.

FBI profiler Grace Steele has a new mission - she needs to rescue the Vice President's daughter from a Cult. More specifically a cult that she grew up in for the first 13 years of her life - Order of the New Dawn. To help her on this mission is no one other than Cade Wright, the one person that Grace does not want to spend any more time with.

Grace and Cade were the best of friends and then eventually childhood sweethearts, but they haven't spent much time together in the past 9 years. I loved

I received a complimentary ARC of this book from Netgalley but all opinions provided are my own.

April Hunt’s Lethal Redemption offers a cornucopia of tropes for the romance lover: it’s a second chance, lovers-to sorta enemies-to lovers, best friend’s sibling romance with plenty of thrills.

Cade, Steele Ops employee and brother to Zoey (whom we met in the first book in the series), is willing to do anything to re-kindle his relationship with Grace. They grew up together and dated

I'm so glad that I grabbed this book. It's a keeper as far as I am concerned.
I really liked April Hunt's writing style. The descriptive way she wrote things is easy to feel the power of the words. They often made me smile and it flowed without being cheesy. I continued to enjoy the story because of it's strong emotional and action intensity. The story really pulled me in as it got more and more intense.
I couldn't have asked for more interesting and complex main characters. Even the
