3.5 stars for another swoon-worthy cowboy romance!

I think I would have enjoyed this one more if it hadn't felt so.... Cheesy? It wasn't bad enough to warrant a low rating but enough for me to not give it more than four stars.

Also, all of the romance, kisses and sex felt... a bit watered down. I know that is what some people enjoy but it just wasn't my favorite.

All in all, this was fun to read and enjoyable b

He ran wild in his youth but now Finn Monroe is on the other side of the law as the local attorney and his days aren’t as exciting as they used to be until Jessica Blair steps into his office with a hunch her aunt is in trouble and Finn is her last hope. Her aunt hastily married a smooth-talking cowboy and then disappeared and Jessie knows something is wrong. As soon as Finn and Jessie start poking around, the danger grows and so does their attraction. With both of their lives on the line, Finn ...more

In my favorite of the Montana Strong trilogy, Finn Monroe gets his happily ever after.

Finn's story was more sensitive to me because, although a fantastic attorney, a well as doing more than his fair share at his family's ranch, there is a piece of him that remains broken. As a child, Finn and his brothers Ben and Sam led difficult lives and had experienced abuse. Mac Monroe not only took the boys in, but gave them his name, his love and his legacy.

His most recent case is with new client Jessica

Sweet, satisfying series end…

This has been a wonderful series following the Monroe brothers as they bonded with their adoptive father and grew into the strong men they now were. Finn was the last brother to get his story and I wasn’t prepared for how bittersweet I felt about it…

Finn was the youngest but may have had the biggest chip on his shoulder starting out. Seeing him come into his own, fully invested in his larger family, gave me all the smiles. When Jessica landed in his office she was di
One-time hellion turned ranch town lawyer and a woman in distress find themselves on a harrowing adventure when he takes her case. First time with the author and the series, but won't be my last.

Born to Be a Cowboy is the third, and I think, final book in the Montana Strong series. Finn is the last of three brothers adopted by Mac Monroe and, though standalone, this one wrapped up a few series threads, too. So, you can read it standalone, but there are some series mini-spoilers as well.

Oh honey, what? You expect me to crush on a book boyfriend that wears a FRINGED. BUCKSKIN. JACKET? Outta your damn mind.

*sigh* He wasn't awful, but the h was. Dumb as a box of broccoli and TSTL. And half of the plot points have been used by this author before. Meh.

Like the first book in this series, this one dragged just as much. I began to skim pages, not really interested in the incredibly lengthy description of what the scenery looked like. The action picked up at the end, but it was predictable.

I gave this author a second chance, but unfortunately I think it'll be the last chance I give.

Two stars: A book that starts out with a strong mystery but quickly falters with stupid decisions.

Finn is happy that he survived childhood, thanks to his adoptive father, Mac. Now days, Finn is small town lawyer as well as a rancher. He enjoys being close to his brothers and Mac. Finn’s world is suddenly turned upside down when a pretty young woman walks into his office with a big problem. Born to Be a Cowboy is the third novel in R.C. Ryan's Montana Strong series and it's the second book in the series I've read. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that it kept me reading until I finished it at 4:30 a.m. this morning, so if there are typos in this review, you'll know why. It was an excellent read and it gets 5 stars from this sleep-deprived reader.

This series centers around the 3 juvenile delinquents, Ben, Sam and Finn, who were fostered and then adopted by widowed rancher Mackenzie (Ma

“Springtime was a season of hope, and nowhere more than here in Montana.”

Whoo! I didn’t realize it had been this long since reading a cowboy romance and I kind of forgot the appeal of it. For me, the cowboy romance genre is so popular due to a desire for a simple hard-working life. And for a desire for a warm family as well as a sweet and steamy love. This book reminded me of all that and more.

This is the third book in the Montana Strong series - and although this really is a standalone - I wish I had read the first two books before I got to this one. The focus of this book is on families - not necessarily the one we are born in to but the one we find and build with love. Both main characters were orphaned and left to be raised by extended family. For Jessie it turned out to be a home filled with love and growth. For Finn that home was filled with abuse and led to separation from his ...more

Finn shows us faith in someone when no one else does. He shows that he believed Jessie even when others didn’t. Finn was a serious but sweet cowboy. He and his brothers were adopted and he shows how grateful he is for this. His life turned around at that moment and he has never forgotten that. THe group of men that call them his family are fun, hardworking, understanding and loving. The social worker is family as well and you just fall in love with this g

Everytime I read a book from this series, I always get hungry. I don't know if this author was a cookbook author before, but she sure knows how to describe food. Yumm!! Anyways, we are here to talk about the youngest of the Boys and his name is Finn Monroe. He was the quiet one of the bunch and his quiet, peaceful world is about to be turned upside down when Jessie enters his office asking for help. Jessie is afraid that her aunt is in serious trouble and she has traveled from another town to en ...more

Born to Be a Cowboy is the third book in R. C. Ryan's Montana Strong series. I haven't read the first two yet, but I didn't feel the least bit lost starting with this installment. Though this story does not take place anywhere near Christmas and there's a strong suspense component, its strong emphasis on family makes it perfect for this holiday season.

Finn Monroe was a sullen, wild young boy who is now a respected attorney in his small town while also working at his family's ranch. When Jessica

So, I thought I would love this book way more than I did. Dangerous thriller with a romance! What could be better?

Truthfully, I found this story to be extremely slow-moving, and although I enjoyed most of it, it took me weeks to get through. When it should have only taken a few days at most. I don't think any real action happened until 2/3 through the story, and it was short-lived.

But the characters were great! I especially loved Finn and his own challenges that he faced throughout the story. Hi

Family isn’t always a unit that you’re born into, it doesn’t necessarily need close blood to make up a family – it does require unconditional love, having your back no matter what and the sense of belonging right where you are among people who love you just as you are. Both Finn and Jessie have those types of family. For Finn, he also has his brothers as well as Mac, for Jessie, she has her Aunt Nola and right now no one will believe that her aunt is in serious danger

I read this book as a stand alone, but now want to read the previous books. Wonderful characters, and an intriguing plot made this a terrific read.

After brothers Ben, Sam and Finn lost their parents, they went to live with their uncle, who was abusive. Eventually the abuse was brought to light by a teacher and they were put into foster care- still to be abused, but now seperated. So they ran away and ended up on the Holler

Be prepared for lots of surprises in this story! Ms. Ryan will delight readers with this small town romantic suspense story.

Finn Monroe has come a long way from his hellion days as a boy. Thanks to being adopted, along with his two brothers, by Mackenzie "Mac" Monroe Finn learned the error of his ways and now is an attorney in his hometown of Haller Creek, MT. When a beautiful woman walks into his office asking for help Finn never suspects the encounter will lead to mystery, danger and love.

Montana Strong #3, We are back one last time with the Monroes. It can be read as a standalone but I enjoyed the series as a whole. Finn Monroe a small town lawyer part time cowboy wasn't alway lucky to have this family, after the death of both parents the brothers were split up in foster care where they each had a hard time making each of the boys foulmouthed troublemakers. When they ran away they lucked out and found Mac Monroe's ranch. Mac knew how they felt he gave them a home and

Ms. Ryan weaves a tale about romance, pain, evil, angst, salvation, love and family.
Mackenzie Monroe once found three angry orphans intent on robbing him in his home shortly after losing his wife and son in an accident. That night proved to be the salvation for the boys and for Mac.
The boys grew up. Ben and Sam's stories are written in previous books in this series. If you haven't read them yet, I can highly recommend them as wonderfully engrossing family as well as love stories.

Back to the Monroe family. I have enjoyed each book in this series and was excited to read Finn's story. This was the perfect story for our hot and sexy cowboy/attorney. When Jessie Blair walks in Finn has no option but to look his fill. Problem is, Jessie really needs his legal help. Her Aunt Nora is gone, vanished. Supposedly the forever single was swept off her feet and whisked away for marriage and a honeymoon. Jessie knows better. Aunt Nora wouldn't not include her in the events and would d ...more

From foster care to being adopted and living on a ranch sexy, cowboy lawyer Finn Monroe meets his match when Jessie Blair first enters his office in Haller Creek. This story is full of romance with a family of sexy cowboys. I really liked Finn, a lawyer, who immediately falls for Jessie Blair as she tries to find out what happened to her Aunt Nola, who has gotten married and disappeared.

Jessie is such a strong character that you cannot help but like her independent spunk and the sparks that fly

Jessie knows something is wrong when her normally level headed aunt decides to tell her shes getting married to someone she barely knows on a whim. There is something fishy going on and shes on a mission to getting her aunt back if only anyone would believe her. When she hired Finn Monroe he digs up some things that also don't see right and after a couple of mishaps its might seem like someone doesn't want them to go around looking for the truth.

What away to end a series, but with a bang. The author did an amazing job and keeping you in the edge of your seat the whole book. I have really enjoyed every book in this series and this book didn’t disappoint. I love how the author took a group of “misfits” and made them family and made them the most important to each other no matter what. I really like Jessie and how she fit with the group but also that she was strong independent and wouldn’t take nothing from no one and no one was going to s ...more

Although this was the first book I read in this series and there are a lot of characters involved, I found it to be entertaining, easy to follow, and captivating. Each time I had to put the book down to do something in the real world, I was frustrated as I really wanted to know what happened next. I thought the characters were robust and consistent throughout the story, and I really enjoyed what each character brought to the book.
