It is 31 years since this was written, but actually still many of the institutions and personalities are known. This provides a more general background to the environment in which the events of books like Liar’s Poker, Barbarians at the Gates and the Predators Ball occurred, and which inspired the depiction of Gordon Gekko in Wall Street.
