I move in close behind him, my attention dancing across the beads of water on his skin that are sparkling like crystals when the fading light hits them. And still, he remains motionless, waiting for me, patient. Quiet. He calls to me without a word. And I admit to myself for the first time, I’m desperate to stay here. With him. Forever.

”LEAVE ME BREATHLESS” is a spin-off of ”The Protector”. The Hero, Ryan Willis, is ex MI5 and close friends

This much awaited book lands on my kindle and everything gets put on hold. I'm a sucker for Good Guy romances, ones where hero is a provider & takes charge in a "I got this" kinda way. Ryan Willis certainly made me go week in the knees with his shirtless sexy physique and crooked dimpled smile.

Leave Me Breathless is the newest standalone romance from Jodi Ellen Malpas full of sweetness, heat, and some added suspense. The story is connected to The Protector but can be read as a complete standalone and doesn't spoil anything from the other book. For fans of The Protector though, you will get a few fun cameo's in this book.

Ryan and Hannah had an instant spark of chemistry and from the very beginning I just knew that I was going to love them and their

If you’re a fan of Jodi Ellen Malpas you’ll no doubt be dying to flip the pages of her latest standalone, Leave Me Breathless. The trademarks of this author are all apparent, the ones we’ve all come to love from her, but in Ryan Willis, although still possessive and commanding, we have hero somewhat ‘softer’ for want of a better word, and we loved him! In saying that, Ryan Willis very much retains the

I’ve been going back and forth about my thoughts and about what to rate this book. While it was better for me than any other book that JEM has written, I didn’t really find anything special about it.

This was a typical story of a woman with a secret and she falls for a man in the town she’s hiding in. While there was the suspense and the angst between the couple, I was still waiting for the story to actually suck me into it. Most of this book was Hannah hiding secrets and the day to day building

Title: Leave Me Breathless
Author: Jodi Ellen Malpas

I have never uttered the words “ I do not like Jodi Ellen Malpas’s books” and I am not going to start now.

Leave Me Breathless is Jodi Ellen Malpas's latest standalone and it is lighter, fresher and has a healthy dose of humour which was unexpectedly good.

This book is set in a small town so for those that LOVE a small town romance, this book is it.

I was excited to read another book by JEM so imagine my surprise when I realized how much this book is like the Julia Robert's movie (and the book), Sleeping With The Enemy!

It's frustrating to say the least...not that it isn't good, it's just that I've come to expect so much more from someone who came up with Jesse Ward.

Ryan is friends and works with Jake from The Protector. Ryan decides he's had enough of the security business and moves back to his small hometown in the middle of

I read The Controversial Princess and was hooked on JEM from there, so when the opportunity to read her gem again, I was like heck yeah!!

I must say that even though this was different from her previous books, IMO, I still got lost in Hannah & Ryan's story. Hannah running from her past & Ryan wanting a break from his "never know what will happen" kind of job. Hannah having a creative and free spirit was different to Ryan's always needing the next adrenaline hit but the one thing they

Since “This Man” Jodie Ellen Malpas has been a “Go-To” Author for me – her writing is always flawless. I have always felt that she creates two very different story settings – either her male leads are Alpha to the core or the female leads are unconventional. Either way, her characters are always so well developed it almost hurts to leave them when the book ends.

“Leave me BREATHLESS” as Standalone follow up / spin-off from “The Protector” is no different.

Ryan and Hannah are great characters and

This was a boring, unoriginal, predictable story.

Found it really hard to get into. I've read a few of this author's books but this didn't even seem like her writing.

We get the heroes POV but JEM seems to be one of those authors who feels the need to have the hero constantly swear so he sounds like a male POV. It got a bit boring plus he's not very alpha male.

It's been a while since I read a JEM story. And I loved getting back into her worlds with Leave Me Breathless.

I jumped into this one completely blind - didn't even realise it was kind of connected to The Protector until I saw Jake and Cami's name written.

And I ended up completely and utterly adoring this story.

I was expecting a romantic suspense kind of story. And whilst we did have some suspensey and unknowns happening, it wasn't the main deal with our lovelies

Leave Me Breathless is another great standalone from Jodi. A little lighter than what we typically see from her, a sweeter more earthy romance this time around. The novel centres around the Hero Ryan Willis, an ex MI5 agent, turned private security who has decided to pack it in and live the quiet life to raise his 10 year old daughter Alex. Ryan is a burly alpha male with a strong protective moral compass, he is an amazing father and has a huge heart, I found the contrast of his tough exterior ...more

Nothing great about this one. This book has my favorite trope 'Woman on the Run' and the book is filled with pages and pages of how the h is running scared and afraid of everything but we get only one paragraph of what abuse she endured.

there shoud be a really good motherfucking reason, im sick of the "every-side-characters-having-their-own-story" thing.

For the first time in the history of JEM novels, the UK & the US will be having different covers! The UK edition will be revealed very soon, along with the synopsis.

Leave Me Breathless is the story of a woman in hiding who happens upon a man who specializes in personal protection. Their meet-cute is unique-he hits her with his car! Also, the intro to the story gives us a glimpse at Jake and Cami (From The Protector).

Hannah is on the run, but you don't immediately know why. She is trying to take her life back and is opening an art store in a tiny town in the English countryside. Ryan is taking a sabbatical from private security and returning home. Both

I enjoyed this sexy contemporary romance! A little suspense, a lot of romance, a very nice escape.
Jodi Ellen Malpas is a very talented writer and I always enjoy her stories.

Although this is described as a spin off from 'The Protector', it can absolutely be read as a standalone and in fact I enjoyed Ryan and Hannah's story even more than Jake and Camille. This book has the perfect amount of tension and plot-building that is essential to my enjoyment of a book. Ryan is a sexy,

Malpas delivers a fabulous follow up to The Protector with Leave Me Breathless. In this story we get to focus on Jake’s colleague and friend, Ryan. Upon returning home from too long away, Ryan, quite literally runs into a lovely stranger who immediately catches his eye. With a painful past and hidden secrets, Hannah knows she shouldn’t open herself up but there is something about Ryan that makes it impossible not to.

5 Star Review Leave Me Breathless by Jodi Ellen Malpas

I have been looking forward to reading this new book by Ms. Malpas ever since she announced it. I found myself totally invested in Hannah and Ryan’s story. I also fell hard and fast for Ryan's daughter Alex; what a delightful and funny 10 year old she is.
This is a spin off from The Protector and had Jake reprising his role as Ryan’s partner initially. It was great to touch base and see where he and his family are now and that added to my

Like many J.E.M. stories, this one caught me off guard as being much more than what it appears from the start. Ryan is a "retired" MI-6 agent that returns to the small town where his daughter lives. Hannah is the new art store owner in this small town and has a very clumsy nature. Ryan accidentally hits Hannah with his vehicle and from there they start this journey of finding peace, acceptance, and opening one's heart back to love.

This is the hardest review I have ever had to write. I love JEM's books but there was something missing from this one. The Protector is one of my favourites and since this is a standalone spin off from it I thought I would love it as much. Compared to the Protector I found this very slow and sadly predictable and pretty uneventful. I loved Ryan and Hannah and their relationship development even if it was pretty predictable. I hated Ryan's ex and I felt she featured way too much in the story. I ...more

I don't really know how to rate this book. I'll be honest, I struggled to read this and it took me over a week to read. I was first attracted to the book cover and description and I've heard many great things about Jodi's books so I requested an ARC copy of this book. I think the premise of the book is great but lacked on execution. I didn't find myself getting lost in any of the characters so it was difficult to connect with the story as a whole.

Ryan tends to get shocked by his daughter, “oh my God, if she fancies you, then you two are totally gonna make out.” I choke on nothing and swerve, hitting an enormous pot hole." Ryan and Hannah tend to have the most strange conversations, “are you hanging the possibility of us having a baby on the quality of a blow job?” What is this crazy conversation we’re having?" I liked this book, I loved Ryan.

I’ve been reading Jodi Ellen Malpas since her debut novel, This Man, was released. That series was one of the first that I turned to in the post-Fifty Shades days when I was looking to see what else was out there in romance. I credit this series as one of the ones that turned me into the devoted romance reader I am now. It undoubtedly left an indelible impression on readers, and years after its initial release, readers still list both the series and the hero, Jesse Ward, as top

‘A lingering idea that I just couldn’t ignore.’ – Jodi Ellen Malpas

Jodi Ellen Malpas wrote her debut series, The This Man Trilogy, in secret, worried about what people might think if they knew what her imagination was capable of. She was shocked herself.
