First, I want to thank Joanne Dannon for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

I have been a fan of Joanne Dannon for a while now. However, Mommy Loves the I.T. Guy part of Mommy’s Little Matchmaker is the best she has ever written. Joanne brought so many smiles to my face throughout this book all because of an adorable little girl named Skylah Morgan.

So many incredible adorable moments where Joanne me laughing of things Skylah did or said. For example, Skylah thought 30 wa

This is a clean heartwarming story. It's more than a romance story between Abby and Noah, it's the story of a little girl named Skylah that was having to learn to trust people. I really enjoyed reading this book. I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion. ...more

Joanne Dannon's latest book, Mommy Loves the IT Guy is 3rd in a fun new series with mixed authors called Mommy's Little Matchmakers. This book steps out of Joanne's regular stories showcasing romance with couples across countries. Instead it adds the element of a beautiful little girl who makes the plot extra entertaining. It's a story rich in emotions, varying from tear jerking moments, to moments of happiness, to end in a heartfelt Happy Ever After. With a wonderful array of characters, from t ...more

This is a lovely, sweet story by Joanne Dannon about a couple coming together in the face of challenges. Single mum Abby adopted 'little miss personality', Skylah, in the hope of giving her a secure and loving home. Skylah has had a sad start to life, causing her to be insecure and fearful of anyone who encroaches on her relationship with her new mum. When the two move temporarily to the USA to help Abby's friend Emma get her business off the ground, Abby's old crush on Emma's brother Noah is re ...more

Joanne Dannon writes a beautiful, poignant story in this third book of the Mommy's Little Matchmaker series. Having spent my life's work with many, many unwanted children, this story of ten year old Sky reached deep down into my core. Abby has given up all personal relationships to prove to her adopted daughter that she will always come first in her life. I love the way Ms. Dannon develops the friendship between Noah and Sky. Despite Sky's "cheekiness," he realizes what a smart, yet frightened l ...more

Fast forward to today and Abby and Noah are reunited again and discover their crushes for each other are still there. There are now obstacles to overcome. Abby is still Noah's sister's friend and she now lives in Australia. Two years ago she adopted Skylah who is now ten. Skylah's parents lost custody of her because of neglect.

OMG! I wish I had Joanne’s storytelling mind, because this book, is a great addition to the portfolio of amazing books, I have read from her. The story is not just about the romance between Noah and Abby, but is interwoven with the painful issue of child neglect and the effects it has on the child in the long term. The book took me on an emotional rollercoaster but also kept me on the edge of my seat. Joanne is one of my favourite authors and I can’t wait to read

This is a story of new love between Abby and her adopted daughter, Skylah, who was abandoned to the Foster Care system. Skylah is wary of all men, fearing if her new mom were to marry she would be abandoned again.

It is also a story of old romance - school crushes between Abby and Noah who had let love pass them by years ago. Abby has come halfway around the world on an extended vacation to help her old friend, and Noah’s sister, and romance threatens once again.

This is a sweet, short story in t

This incredibly emotional read is powerful and will touch your heart. This book offers a beautiful combination love story. It is not only the wonderful love story of Abby and Noah, but of Abby's love for her daughter, Skylah and Noah's determination to join their family and win both their hearts. It is sweet, realistic and poignant. I truly connected with theses characters and felt for them as they all struggled with their anxieties, wants and needs. A beautiful story about love. Mommy Loves the I.T. Guy by Joanne Dannon is absolutely delightful.

Abby and Noah are sweet, calm, kind and caring characters and their story is pure joy to read and Skylah, Abby’s adopted daughter who is very outspoken and cheeky but also very adorable had me smiling throughout the book — she just jumps off the page and into your heart.

I’m a sucker for stories featuring characters who take on foster kids - who provide a warm, happy, safe and loving home.

A truly heartwarming story.

I really enjoyed this book and I think the main reason was the interplay between Skylar and Noah. I felt for Abby as all parents feel inadequate at times and her situation made that even worse. I loved Noah and his endless patience. Skylar was a little terror and I felt she was a really well written character with her tragic childhood history and desperate desire to be loved. A very heartwarming story which dealt with lots of different feelings and concerns in a believable way. Loved it.

Abby Morgan becomes a single mother, with adoption Skylah, 8 years old.
Abby is from St.Judith, near Washington. now she lives in Australia, alone, works as event planner.
She has too much to learn to raise Skylah, but with patient, explain, love, hugs, the life'll be full and happy.
Interesting theme, good story, lovely characters, easy and fast to read, I enjoyed read it!

Mommy Loves the IT Guy is a sweet, clean romance, but it is also about a single woman who has become the permanent caregiver for a ten year old girl who has suffered abuse and malnutrition with her parents. Skylah feared her new found life would be ripped away by the guys who want to date Abby. I really enjoyed this quick read that has interesting characters and a good plot.

Abby is thirty and has adopted Skylah, a ten year old girl with a fear of abandonment. Abby has the patience of a saint and lives in Australia. She's back in the US, Virginia, visiting her BF Emma. Its been eleven years since she's seen Noah, Emma's brother. Noah likes order and predictability, none of which comes with a child of ten who doesn't want Abby to date. Skylah is determined that nothing changes in her world (makes sense, I'm sure she had plenty of disruption before Abby came into her ...more

Sky actually is a little non-matchmaker. After 8 years without real parents, she is too happy with her mom Abby. And, even after two years, she still is afraid she will lose her. So she tries to keep 'boys' away from her mom.
Beautiful story about two 'girls' finding their home.
I like it that the little matchmakers from part 2 in this series also play a part.

"Mommy Loves the I.T. Guy" by Joanne Dannon
A sweet light contemporary romance that is easy on the heart. I enjoyed watching Skylah learn to love and to trust... and I think she will grow on you, too. And then there is Abby, the mom, and Noah, the I.T. guy... I was gifted an ARC by the author and this is my honest review.

A nice clean and wholesome story about another 10 year girl, her Mom and a guy she has known since childhood. Abby has come from Australia to help her best friend with her business, staying at Emma’s home with her adopted daughter, Skylah.
Skylah is worried that Abby will send her back to Australia and her neglectful parents. Abby has to work to convince Skylah that they are a forever team.

I purchased a copy of the sweet novella Mommy Loves The IT Guy by Joanne Dannon and this review was given freely.
Skylah becomes insecure when her security is challenged when her court appointed guardian Abby moves them from Australia to the USA and reunites with not only her best friend Emma but also her childhood crush, Emma's brother Noah. Unlike the previous two novellas in the series, the 10 year old girl is not the "matchmaker" but it is a second chance at love story with a happy end

I adore friends to lovers stories. Because that's what I'm living in the thirty years of my marriage. This book gets a solid rating from me.
I also like that Ms. Dannon doesn't shy away from the hard topics. Kids who come out of foster care have unique scars. I love how the people in St. Judith loving incorporated Skylah into their community. This story is about family, healing and community as much as it is about two people falling in love.
