For thousands of years Oron Vi’Eirson has lived each day trying to keep the pain and devastation caused by his family from hurting his precious baby brother. But despite his best efforts his past has come back to haunt him, placing not only Darian and Amelia in harm’s way, but also his newly found mate.

Isabelle Campbell, or as she likes to be called, Izzy, is a mess. She knows this. It’s never intentional, but somehow her curiosity always seems to run away from her. When her latest gaffe lands her homeless and fired from her favorite barista job she is left little choice but to accept the kindness of some of her favorite customers, little did she know that by doing so, she would find herself starting the biggest adventure of her life!

With kindred spirit Meryn at her side, Izzy takes on the entire fae city to protect the heart of the kindest man she has ever met. If the golden fae think they can get away with hurting her mate, they are sorely mistaken. After all, her new friend likes to electrocute people.

When facing your greatest fear means facing your family, is there any escape? Can Izzy help Oron stand against all odds?

I can’t anymore with this series. I loved it so much in the beginning, but it’s literally going NOWHERE and not fast, slowly. Dear god the first 100 pages WERE ALL MERYN. This madness needs to stop. She’s not even funny anymore or endearing. She’s immature and 12 years old. I mean at this point I cringe when Aiden touches her because I forget that she’s an adult and not a child. Everyone loves her more than life? Come on, this is like the sub-plot of an evil creepy dude who imprisons people in a virtual world where he is a hero and everyone somehow loves him, especially the cheerleader he stalked in high school. This is what I think now when I think of Meryn and the people that fawn all over her. It’s freaking weird. Look, this book is supposed to be about what his Fae face and his mate but I don’t even remember their names, why? Because these books are not actually romance books about the said main characters- no they are love stories between Meryn and everyone who drank the Meryn love potion cool-aid. It’s just creepy now. Imma roll out of this book neighborhood before the Meryn pod people show up and take me.

If like me you've read the other books and loved them, Then you really need to get reading this, I cannot express how much I love this book and this whole series with each one I find I'm pulled into the story and don't want to leave till I've read the whole book. I love that Alanea brings us new couples while still have many familiar faces. I read this in 2 hours I just couldn't stop reading, but now I need the next book cause I need to know what happens now.

The missing half star is because of my mixed feelings towards the female h. I liked her because she was very similar to Meryn but then we already have Meryn so she just ended up seeming like a lesser double to me. I mean they were both totally alone and felt unwanted before meeting their mates, Meryn had a sprite, she got a brownie. Oron was very lovable and I liked that she was protective of him but I couldn't seem to focus on them and cared more about the main plot.
This was definitely the most emotional book in the series so far and the story progressed so much that the book felt longer in a good way. I stayed up all night alternating between laughing out loud and crying. (Spoilers ahead!!!)
My favorite part though is how they all became an interconnected, superpowerful-interspecies-family but the big sister/brother-cousin thing was a bit much. Why can't they just be cousins? Crypto's reveal was a total surprise. I did not see that coming!
Now I'm wondering;
- If Meryn is too young to be mated since she should be judged by Fae years now?
-How come she had her period more than once a year and got pregnant out of season?
-Will the baby be shifter-human or shifter-fae?

I can't decide if I'm excited about this book's impending release or sad about the fact that after reading it I'd have to wait months(hopefully) for another not-really-full-length book(which is so unfair!). On the bright side, I wouldn't have to wonder what it is Stefan's brother has to tell Meryn. I mean talk about suspense.
I honestly don't get why people keep complaining about how the books revolve around Meryn since it was obvious she was the most important character from book two when Beth said: "Fate seems to be doing her level best to gather strong allies around the McKenzie and his new mate." "She's so young. I don't think she'll be ready for whatever is coming." to which Ryuu responded: "That is why she has us." Not to mention, she's amazing and loveable in her wackiness and one of the reasons I'm so in to the series. The twins are pretty cool too and I really need more of Avery's story, please!

Eire Danu was a welcome change in venue for the series! Love love loved it!

Oron has one of the best storylines in the series. This is a strong vulnerable character with a twisted past. This past plays out through this read. I wish I could say more but I don’t want to make this a spoiler review.

Izzy was an FMC I needed after the last few FMCs I read in the series. She is tough funny and adventurous. She is a perfect compliment to Meryns character. Extremely excited about the new additions to the series!

Meryn receives some unbelievable game changing news making the plot thicken. There are some major players who have arrived at Eire Danu by the end of the novel. The next book in the series is going to be phenomenal!

I can’t wait for the release!

Happy Reading! DD

I love this series, and love everything Meryn. This story clarifies Meryn's background and another warrior gets a mate. This book felt a bit rushed, and to be honest, there are so many characters from each of the other books that I had a hard time remembering who was who etc. There was a lot of background information, but the plot of the story never moved forward. Meryn is still pregnant and the ferals are still loose, yet we only saw a glimpse of them. After 11 books, I really need some closure in the plot line.

Disappointing. The author has had a burnout and took longer with this book so perhaps that’s why it seems so forced. Or maybe editors have done her dirty?
The same jokes repeated as nauseam, everybody putting their head back and laughing with tears every time Meryn says “Kebobs”, even if it’s 3 times in one conversation because she’s *just* that cute and hilarious. In case you didn’t know from the first 10 books and oh yeah, 10 seconds ago.
Tiresome. Oh she loves Ryuu. How emotional. Everyone tear up, quickly.
Some revelations happen so if you intend to continue with the series you can’t skip it- unless they’ll be rehashed again and again in books to come. Hopefully the author finds her groove again.

I understand a lot of the reviews that I have read about this book, this series.

I started this series a few years ago when I got back into the paranormal world and as I started to branch out into different series, I realized that this series is not a serious one.

I think the problem is that it tries so hard to be funny that it is ridiculous but that doesn't make it a bad series. I read this for fun, the characters, the plot, nothing about that is serious in this so you can just let your mind go when reading it.

I think my main issue is the blurb of each book states it's about a different couple and while a different couple does mate in each book, I think the truth is that every new character is written and introduced based on their relationship with Meryn. Every new character is just drawn to her and love her and everything else, and yup it is silly.

To me, this is a series that you take in doses.

What about the main couple.

It kind of feels more and more like what are supposed to be the main couple in this series are only footnotes. This book felt less like a love story for Izzy and Oren and more like the latest installment of the Meryn saga with Izzy and Oren as a side note thrown in. All these incredible revelations about Meryn with some scraps for the main characters, it was kind of a let down.

This series just gets better and better

Strap in and get ready for a ride because holy guacamole does $#!t get real in My Solace! With the gang heading to the fae realm it’s very much a whole new world opening up. Faces new and old come together and jaw dropping revelations will keep you gasping and occasionally have you shedding tears. One of my favorite things about this series is how each book features a new couple but the overall story of what is happening with the ferals is still playing a HUGE part. It truly makes this an addictive series.
Oron’s mate is someone we haven’t met yet, so I’ll keep things a bit vague. As River Song would say, spoilers sweetie. We don’t do those. She’s the perfect other half to Oron, seeing the real him that he just can’t see. Where he thinks she’s the light in his word she is determined to show him how he lights up the worlds of everyone he meets. They truly are the sweetest together.
Of course there’s also no shortage of shenanigans, humor and beautiful loving family moments in this too. Oron’s mate and Meryn immediately connect and form a bond that results in all kinds of wonderful things. I’m now dying to go back and read the entire series all over again and cannot wait to see what Alanea has coming next!

The story was really muddled and focussed too much on Meryn rather than the purported MCs. The jokes are also getting stale as they repeat from the chapter to chapter and even from book to book. It’s becoming formulaic and rapidly losing its original charm. This book did not have much of a plot and felt more like a filler book. However, it got an extra star as it did move the overarching plot along.

The author should seriously evaluate whether she should keep Meryn as the main character of each book or have new MCs as she’s not doing the new characters any justice for the past few instalments. It’s deceptive to market these books as having a new couple when in reality they’re relegated mostly to the background.

It might be time to give this series up.

Wow

In many ways this felt like the book that we’d been waiting for. The one with some long awaited answers. From the end of the last book we knew everything was getting cleaned up in Noctem Falls, the virus had been cured and the gang were headed off to Eire Danu, land of the Fae. What I didn’t count on were just how many answers we’d get!
There were huge revelations, links to the past unearthed, new friends made and a new city to discover.
In some ways the book didn’t even feel like a love story between Izzy a human barista and Oron the adopted son of the Fae Queen. It was so much more than that.
I love this series because it’s funny and so clever. The level of detail given to the world and characters is amazing. I think the only thing I need now is a copy of the family trees so I can keep everyone straight!

Befuddled

I enjoy Alanea's stories. Oron and Izzie are the newest addition. Plenty of laughs. However, this book felt harder to track the plot line. I love dialogue, but this book was almost entirely dialogue and it made it a little more difficult to discern what was happening in the timeline. I've honestly lost track of what exactly is going on.

I'd like to see a strengthening and revisiting of the plot in the next book. And while enjoy Meryn, each book seems to be more and more Meryn-centric rather than the couple the book is supposed to be about. Everyone adores her. She's perfectly quirky and everyone fawns over her. For some reason, it's starting to wear out. Let the main couple of each book be the main focus.

Having said all that, I was still very entertained and will definitely get the next book in this saga. 😊

Rushed

This book seemed like it was rushed. In the previous books it explained each mate and how they ended up meeting their mate. In this book, it was dreamed and rushed through when they actually met. A lot of thing did not have any explanation. The baby mence is carrying keeps being referred to as them or they. Is she having twins? Normally when Ben came there would of been a charter of him hugging mence and him telling her what has been happening back home nothing........ The revelation mence is part fae and how she felt afterwards was rush. A lot of parts of this book seemed skimmed over. I love this series but this book was not in my top five

I'm shoooocked with the revelations about a certain character. Alanea Alder, I love u, best plots and characters as always! BUT, we don't have a lot of scenes of the main couple of the book, I know that almost everything is about Meryn and her shenanigans, but we always have more about the relationship of the recently mated couple, and I didn't feel a connection with this one.

Sadece yeni, yine yeniden yeni bilgiler edindik.

I love this author and this series. I'm not happy with having to say My Solace was not one of my favorites of this series. Don't get me wrong the characters were wonderful, all of them. I love Meryn but she took up way to much of this book. Oron and Izzy were almost secondary characters when they were suppose to be the main characters.
The author needs to have a Glossary of the characters in each book. There is too much time between books and too many new and old characters being introduced to keep track of everyone.
I don't know what happened with this book but the author needs a good proofreader too.

Like I said I do love this series.
Alanea can make me weep like none other with her characters gentle gestures.
She wrecks me like no other author can.
Oh the plot twist. I literally gasped.

Stupendous

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this book! It broke my heart but it also made me laugh so hard I was crying and my stomach was hurting. Well written and edited. I finished it in just a few hours. This series is just so flipping amazing. Alanea has, snark, humor, geekiness, and tears of both sorrow and joy and writes these worlds that I just can't think of a good enough word for it's so good. Now to wait Lord knows how long for next book in series!! Alanea Adler I love you! You're my hero lol!

Totally worth staying up all night to read!

The author did not disappoint with this newest addition to her Bewitched and Bewildered series. We meet some new people and of course still have our old friends. It’s filled with Meryn moments and a lot of questions are answered while more are brought up. As always their is a HEA and the teaser of her next book. I can’t wait to read the next installment! But in the meantime I will continue to re-read the available books again and again.

Great book

What revelations! Wow. This book and series is so cleverly written and thought out. Just when you think you have some things figured out...wham we’re blindsided. This book had so many little reveals as well as the huge one. I was hooked from the first page to the last. The drama, the suspense it’s riveting. Unfortunately the one thing that detracts from this awesome saga is the continuing errors in the books. This one had so many mistakes and missing/ or incorrect words it was distracting.

I’m a big fan of this series but was disappointed with this book. The emphasis was on Meryn and not Oron and his mate. Other than the big reveal for Meryn not a lot happened in the book. I feel that all the mates usually bring something to the group but I feel that Izzy’s character doesn’t really add anything. The book felt rushed and ended before I expected it too. Definitely a let down for the series.

Have you ever read a book and been so into it but don’t fully understand why? Well this is that for me, I sat up until 3am to finish this book and yet I’m at a loss to explain what had me so engrossed, all I can say it’s like reality television, in theory it sounds boring to watch a whole bunch of real people do ordinary things, but in reality millions are hooked.
So I’d say try it and see.(the book not reality tv... or both )

I think these books are beautifully written and this series is one of my favorites. I love the main characters and fight myself sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for what nutty Meryn is going to do next. The only problem I have with this series though is in having trouble distinguishing one character from the next. The books are all so similar that I can’t even remember who is who anymore. Plus as the books go along the romance parts of the book start too go away and it seems more like the supposed main characters are the narrater and the book isn’t even about them. This is a great series don’t get me wrong and I have enjoyed reading it, but I think it would be better if we had a little more action with the main characters and if the book were a little bit more concentrated on the romance of the two characters.

Oh my fucking god!!!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!!!!!! Now I'm going to suffer for book 12 [Ari's book] Sexy lion shifter....mmmh. Back to this book. Well, i guessed right about it. I guessed that Meryn wouldn't be fully human but also a paranormal.

Okay, I actually guessed a few things in this book, right. Meryn is half fae, while i guessed what she was but i never thought she would be the niece to [blank- you need to read it to know] Oh my god and i also guessed right about Oron's family. I actually guessed/thought about it in book 4 to 5.

I read this book make that eight times now. And i love it lots. I need book 12 now. Please published book 12 soon/or when you can.

Ok so I read this in less than a day. If you don't want spoilers.....don't keep reading!

You've been warned, firstly....I was right, I knew we would find out Meryn's dad was important! I I loved this book but I did feel it wasn't long enough and some parts could have been in a little more detail or explained more...for instance, I didn't know Law had travelled with the group until they were with the Vanguard. Overall...this made me laugh, cry and now upset that I'm gonna have to wait forever for the next one. These are awesome books !!!!

OMFG I freaking loved this!
I was laughing and sniggering the whole way through this book. I also had a moment when I cried (you will know what Im talking about when you get to that moment).
Damn Izzy is just as crazy as Meryn and those two are going to stir up so much trouble.
This series just keeps getting better and better as it goes along, and I have no doubt the next one will be just as good.

Finally! We learn about Meryn!

This is the book we've all been waiting for! We finally learn everything, almost everything, we've been searching for about who Meryn truly is. This book was freaking hilarious! I couldn't put it down and read it in only 3 hours! Meryn, I'm truly your Ride or Die Bitch, for life! Can't wait for the next one. Thanks Alanea for putting us all out of our misery!

Cried and smiled my way through this book. Alanea Alder certainly hasn’t lost her way with this series. It’s as strong and endearing from the first book to this. Loved learning more about one of my all time favourite characters, Meryn. Cannot believe I finished this so quickly and now have such a long wait until the next one, but I know it’ll be worth it. Recommend.
