“From here on out here’s how it’s going to go. I play. You play. Don’t hit on me. Don’t flirt with me. Understood?”

Handsome, charismatic, and blessed with a voice that brings thousands of fans to their knees, Trent Donovan is a walking cliché. But he has another thing coming if he thinks he can charm his way into my panties.

I don’t care if he’s rich and famous because I’m

After reading Kacey Shea's Caught In The Flames that literally tested my sanity and fucked my brains out over and over, I was looking forward to more of her other works. She's a new author for me so with that book, she caught my attention. So when I learned about Detour, I could not help but be thrilled because at last I could finally have my Kacey Shea fix. That and the fact that the book screams ROCKSTAR ROMANCE. I am a fan of this trope, so to say that I was excited was an unde

In short this book has all of that NA rock star romance. The cheesy OTT love and the immature of the characters. It still bearable to read. And I also sense the flip flop of the character development.

The character development really needs convincing. A lot editing on their chemistry. Because the insta lust/ love feels forced. I can not feel the tender vulnerable moment between the main characters.

Overall this is OK read.

Trent Donavan is the golden boy of the rock world. As lead singer of Three Ugly Guys, he’s every fangirl’s dream, and with his newfound fame the women flow as readily as alcohol and drugs. There’s no doubt women are Trent’s preferred indulgence after a successful show.

That is, until the feisty little blonde joins the tour.

Lexi Marx loves music. It runs in her blood and flows through her soul. As the illegitimate daughter of a rock legend, she’s determin

This was my 4th book by Kacey and I loved it just as much as every other one of hers. I have to admit, I thought this was going to be completely separate from the Uncovering Love series but I was super excited to find out that I was dead wrong! I couldn't contain my excitement when I found out that this book follows a hunk that I've had the pleasure

Sexy, fun with great characters. I enjoyed this rockstar romance full of sass, with a great banter and  good dynamics. A light-hearted story with some depths.

I like stories about rockstar/manwhore, with their big hearts and totally living the wrong way to live their lives, enjoying the immediate gratification and at one moment of their lives being knocked out by their match. Seeing them work for it? Sign me in.

Detour is a new Rockstar Romance, that will have you wanting more.

Trent is part of the band Three Ugly Guys. They’ve been together for years. The popularity has grown and they're starting their tour. A new act is coming to open and that is Lexi Marx. She’s talented, and honestly, I think more talented than those Three Ugly Guys.

Lexi has a lot she’s dealing with inside. She’s stubborn and wants to do everything by herself. Then there’s Trent who wants nothing but to have Lexi, even though he’s
From the opening, sordid scene, that left a bad aftertaste in my mouth, to the miraculous change of the immature man-whore hero to a faithful, one-woman man in just a couple of pages, this story just did not appeal. (And mom walking in on the threesome, completely unfazed by the sight of one girl riding her son while the other is sitting on his face, and asking her son to finish up because there was someone to see him, was too ridiculous to believe. Lexi is an up-and-coming rock musician who ends up getting the gig of her life opening for new sensation Three Ugly Guys. She deals with sexism in a male-dominated industry that she has an interesting connection to- but prefers to make it on her own merit. Lexi is tough as nails to protect herself after being let down numerous times by family figures.

Trent is the lead singer of Three Ugly Guys, which is a pop-rock band made up of guys who act like goofy brothers. He is known as a playboy and but

EVERYTHING YOU COULD EVER WANT FROM A ROCK STAR ROMANCE! And yes, that did necessitate caps lock. Detour had me hooked right from the start. The banter, the chemistry, the characterization, the development of the music industry's world-this story will pull you right in and convince you these people and places are real. This is a super fun read with just the right amount of angst, and it doesn't hold back when it comes to the steam! I loved seeing the journey both the leads went on and how they d ...more

I seriously devoured this book! I have a book buddy Kathy whom left a raving review for this book. I think I downloaded this before her but she read it first, after reading her review I bumped it up in my TBR. And seriously happy that I did. This is my first read by this author and definitely won't be the last.
OK first of all this book was so freaking good, the flow and storyline was great. The interaction between the band 3UG was freaking hilarious. Eating the wings contest was and

One of the best things about this novel is how you actually get rockstar performances. The author gives you the characters high and lows from performing. Lexi is this hard a$$ rocker chick that basically shows the boys that she's not popstar. But really no matter how tough she is her emotions are no match for Trent. He kind of sweeps you off your feet before you realize you have fallen. I wasn't to sure about them being together though because you know how lead band members are. It was alot of b ...more

A Great Read

I really liked this story and although it has some of the same formulas of other Rock Star books the Author is able to create characters that you care about. Three Ugly Guys are on their way up and even though they can't seem to keep a drummer, their manager tells them the label wants them to audition females for the job,the guys balk and compromising agree to a female opener. Lexi Marx can't believe she is getting her break finally and more importantly on her own merit. Travis, TUGs

After meeting the Three Ugly Guys band in Kacey Shea's Uncovering Love series, I couldn't wait to get on the bus and go on tour with all of them and experience their life on the road. Kacey soon has readers wrapped up in all their practical jokes, sexual tension, and overall angst. I couldn't help but fall deeper in love with all of these delicious rock stars and develop a girl crush the size of Texas for Lexi. It wasn't long and I was drooling

Rockstar romances are one of my favorite tropes, especially when done right and Kacey Shea has worked her magic with DETOUR. Trent and Lexie’s story is the perfect blend of drama, angst, and all things delicious, unputdownable romance! Kacey Shea effortlessly weaves passion, plenty of feels, and gives us a hero to drool over and a couple to root for!

Narration was performed by Jason Clarke and Lessa Lamb. I was new to Lessa Lamb, but I thoroughly enjoyed her heartfelt and emotional performance.
reading this was like breathing fresh air. the characters was written well and I liked both of them which I haven't done in a while

If you have read the Uncovering Love series you will remember the band Three Ugly Guys. I received an ARC of this book and am so happy to leave a review for this five star read. If you are a fan of rock romances then this book is definitely one to put on your TBR and one click when it goes live. Trent is the lead singer of 3UG and he drips with sex appeal and a voice that can make any woman weak in the knees. I loved Detour! I enjoy music and a good rock star romance, and Detour did not disappoint. I devoured it in one sitting!

Trent is a stereotypical rock star: talented, confident, and always looking for a hookup. When he meets Lexi, though, we get to see a different side of him that’s compassionate and funny. I didn’t like him immediately, but he grew on me. Lexi is sassy, no nonsense woman. I really respected her independence and fortitude. Together they made a pretty great team.

Great book. You instantly fall in love with Trent, despite 5he first couple chapters. Lexi is a strong woman with past issues. Love that Trent knows what he wants and doesn't play games. Love his calm demeanor and patience towards Lexi. Can't wait to read the next book

Great story

Trent is one big manwhore. But one time hearing Lexi sing and he is wrapped up in her.
These two have such a sweet story that is a slow burn until they explode and combust. I couldnt get enough. The guys banter is funny and the things Lexi does to get even is so hilarious. Great story.

This is a start to a great series. Loved every moment of it. Kacey wrote a edgy Rock story . Both hero and heroine are strong characters that are perfect for each other. Lexi has had a hard life and she has her walls up , so it seems until Trent slowly cracks her walls . Once Trent gets in Lexi tells him about her life with her Rock Father. Grab it and see how they both save each other and how their hearts were saved Lexi herself gets a surprise that she never expected

I met this author at the Shameless convention and grabbed her books. I'm glad I did. I enjoyed this book, I love me some rockstar romances for some reason, I loved the dynamics of the characters, between the band, between the two main characters, I liked being on the tour bus and on tour and on stage with them, and it was pretty well written, im looking forward to reading the next one!

So good, so good. Kept me intrigued the entire time. I loved getting to know these two. Trent, wild and willing is a softy. Trent is in the band, Three Ugly Guys, and they are a hoot. The brotherhood with these guys was great. They took care of each other and love one another.

Lexi joins them on tour, bringing a little more sex appeal to the tour and a little eye candy for the guys in the audience. Trent is intrigued. The chemistry with these two made the story. I loved how they worked.

Audio Review: Detour (Off the Tracks) by Kacey Shea (Author), Jason Clarke (Narrator), Lessa Lamb (Narrator)

Sweet and salty meets smooth as silk and delivers plenty of heart tingles. Shea reminds the heart that a little bit of naughty can feel so very nice. Trent and Lexi bring out the spicy side in more than just listeners if Clarke and Lamb's delivery is any indication. Jason Clarke makes sure that bad boy wannabe Trent gets under your skin. While Lessa Lamb gives fiesty Lexi the keys to open

Trent a sexy lead singer to Three Ugly Guys he was a ladies man. Every concert he performed at the women were dropping like flies to get a chance at him. Till the day she came aboard and joined the crew. Lexie was the opening act for the 3UG and when Trent got a load of her that's all it took. Read this amazing book by Kacey Shea and you will love it!

Detour is the first book in a new series featuring a highly successful rock band called 3 Ugly Guys. I am not normally a fan of the rock star theme because the men are usually irredeemable man whores. I love anything that Kacey Shea writes, so I decided to give this a try. For those that share my opinion, you will need to be patient because the main character, Trent, is right up there with the worst egotistical sex addicts for the first part of Detour. However, this just makes his transformation ...more
Lisa Marie ~ Words We Love By

When I pick up and start a book by Kacey Shea I know exactly what I'm going to get. I know it will be well written with characters that are relatable, a plotline that realistic and that it will be threaded through with tons of humor and Detour is no exception to any of those things. Veering from her beloved firemen and Kacey has, this time, dipped her toes into the waters of rock stars and she has done it well.

A hot, playboy rock star + a sassy, newcomer = Sexy, contemporary romance!

Trent loves three things—music, his mom (yes, I said his mom) and p&%$y. Seriously, he talks about it ALL the time. When his band is forced to add a female to the tour, he promptly proclaims how much he hates “chick singers.” I have to tell you, Trent is a bit hard to like in the beginning. He is the quintessential manwhore rockstar. His band mates are not much better. It took a while for him to grow on me, but whe

Detour is the first story in the Off Track Records series, a series of rock band Three Ugly Guys. This story was a really enjoyable read.
