I've lived the perfect life. And as if it couldn't get any better, I'm about to graduate from Brown University, all with my flawless, hot as hell girlfriend by my side. I’d say I’m lucky to have Lena, but really, she’s lucky to have me. I would do anything to keep her by my side. Anything. Because as everyone knows, Julian Price hates to lose.

Brittany Taylor wrote the perfect creepy guy! Dissipate is about Julian Price a character from Back To Me. In this novella we get a glimpse in to his life as he is graduating from college and dating Lena BEFORE Back To Me. From the get go you realize he is different. He has no boundaries. He is highly intelligent. He sees everything. His definitely a sociopath. He gave me the chills. Violence simmers just under the surface with him and it’s palpable. Reading this will enhance Back To Me so don’t pass it up. 5 Creepy Stars!

I have no idea how I feel about this little novella, but I know I won't be reading book one. The male MC Julian just came across as a douche and control freak, not the intriguing and weirdly likeable sociopath I've come across in other books. I found myself uncomfortable and frowning a fair bit.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and is the first book in this series and I can't believe this is my first by this author. This book is a complete must read and is the first in the series, Back To Me #1. I really enjoyed reading this book this book is a quick read and I couldn't put it down and I cant wait to read the second in this series and I will defiantly look out for this authors work in the future.

Julian is the ultimate creep and is very controlling and very smart in a scary kind of way and he can be a horrible person at times.
Lena is a beautiful woman who was taking classes with him at the same college and they are in a relationship but they are not a good fit and things need to change for them asap. But I think that Lena is scared of what will happen.

This author has written a great short story and this flows fanatic. This dark romance book was not what I was expecting it will have your emotions up and down a tad but I was hooked from the first chapter and I couldn't wait to see how this was going to play out for them both. The characters were written in depth and this author makes you feel completely invested in this story and this is a great way to start of a series and you wont be able to wait for book #2. I really like this author writing style and loved every minute of this dark and twisty book. This book held my attention throughout and I read this book in one sitting, its an awesome read and I highly recommend that everyone reads it.

Oh Julian Price, will anyone knock you off your narcissistic pedestal? This short origin story gives you incredible insight into the mind of a sociopath. From the blurb you don't really know what's going to happen. But from page one, the vibe is delightfully ominous.

"My fingers wrap around my steering wheel, gripping it tighter. My knuckles turn white. I’m lucky it’s dark out so Lena wouldn’t be able to see me as easily if it were daytime. But my black BMW is still somewhat recognizable, especially to someone like Lena."

The prequel gives you some answers, but creates many questions. Who is Logan if he's not cheating with Julian's gf Lena? Why did Lena have to wait several weeks before separating? Why did Julian supposedly change (according to Lena)?

That creepy vibe permeates the story front to back. Julian assumes the worse and behaves like the world's biggest douche without a care in the world. Julian thinks he's in tune with everything around him while he dissects everything Lena does. Truth is, he only thinks he's got it all under control.

The story is edited spectacularly and written with a deft touch for foreshadowing. If you didn't already guess, I'm all in. Can't wait for the next book.

Dissipate is my first read by Brittany Taylor. I loved this book. My feelings were all over the place. I was angry, sad and then happy. The characters Lena and Julian, are not a good fit at all. But they make for a great storyline.

Julian and Lena are both in college and have the same classes. They are finishing finals to graduate. Julian is smart, handsome, and at times a jerk. He's the smartest in the class and he knows he will go places. Julian is out to be the best he can be. His late father told him a long time ago to never apologize to anyone. Lena is Julian's girlfriend of 2 years. She's smart, blonde and gorgeous. Julian calls the shots and is a control freak. He's also a narcissistic sociopath. You would never know by just looking at him. Lena wants out of the relationship and she's not sure Julian will take it well. Will Lena and Julian work out their relationship? Will Lena and Julian go their separate ways?

The author Brittany Taylor writes in a way you can understand. The author makes you feel what the characters feel. I loved this book from start to finish. I can't wait to see what's next.

This is the first time that I have read a book from the guy that's not very nice his viewpoint. It was kind of hard to swallow the remarks that he would make and how he would act but is a great start to a great series. This book kept my attention through the whole book I didn't get bored at all. This is a great character to be able to develop I know there's a lot more exciting things to come from him. I enjoyed this book he kept my attention and it was completely different from what I'm used to reading. It's nice to get a different Viewpoint. You have that woman's point of view all the time that's usually where it's written from when you have one of those egotistical men and you think what could he possibly be thinking well this book tells you exactly what he's thinking. I think you'll really enjoy reading this book don't miss out.

This is a short Novella that will leave you reeling.

Julian and his girlfriend Lena attend the same college in which graduation is upon them. On the outside, Julian and Lena look like the perfect college couple, as we all know looks can be deceiving. Secrets are kept until all heck breaks lose.

This is a fast paced novella that leaves the reader begging for more. Ms. Taylor’s characters are well developed and there is no mistake as to the roles they play. This novella will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride.

Well done!

Amazing. Alright admittedly I read more darker romance than anything else...so it did take a bit for me to become immersed in the story. Julian is such a jerk...seriously...but I will be the odd one and admit part of me kind of loves him and another part of me wants to punch his face in. I loved how it was in his point of view making it easy to understand why he is the way he is. I am anxiously waiting Logan and Lena's story now *hint hint* I would really love to know more about how she felt during the book and also what happens after.

All in all a great quick read.

Julian Price is a rude arrogant man and very controlling why would anyone what to leave him in his eyes hes perfection and Lena falls to his commands to make him happy. This Novella is short but packs a huge creepy punch and drew me in and I couldn't put it down not knowing what was going to happen and play out next, the characters were so well written they just grab your undivided attention until the last page and I cant wait for more.

Dissipate: dark and unputdownable

Another fantastic book from Brittany Taylor. Dissipate is a novella and happens prior to Back to Me but should be read second.

Written from the POV of Julian Price (antagonist of Back to Me) and leads to the events of Back to Me. Brittany Taylor got into his twisted little mind and really delivered an incredible new story from the villain’s perspective.

THE PERFECT CREEP! Okay, I read Back to Me and I loved it but Julian definitely stood out and I am so glad that Brittany Taylor chose to write a short little origin story for him. This book is short but deep but not too deep that you get too sucked into a drawn out story. Julian is an a-hole but you kind of get why- this book is creepy- the steam level is off the charts- it's perfect!!

This is a darker read, and since it appears to be a preview in a novella fashion it doesn't have an HEA and most likely won't if the series continues. But oh I really need to read more!! This was such a great read and appearences are always what they seem on the outside. I can't wait to read more of this or even this author as this is the first I've read of her.

I struggles rating this book because I am not sure if I would have normally continued to read it had I not been asked for my honest review.

So why 4 stars? Well. I struggled with that too. I thought about 3 stars because I was so disappointed in Julian. He simply wasn’t redeemable in my eyes. He was simply abusive and controlling. I didn’t see this story as a romance as much as a sad ending to a relationship that should have ended long before.

So after contemplating how many stars I decided on 4. I could not give 5 because I felt so let down by the characters. But a 3 didn’t seem fair either. While I didn’t care for the main character this author put in a lot of time to write this book and actually did a great job as far as the writing went. I could feel the characters and there chemistry.

While this didn’t seem to be a romance the writing was still very professional and well done.

Would I recommend this book? That depends. If you are looking for a HEA and a character you will walk away from calling your current book boyfriend. I would say no.

If however you like darker themes and you don’t mind not getting a HEA, but want a book that will pull you in and is well written. Then yes. This will be your book.

This is a new to me author and I loved this book. It starts off sweet and Dissipates into something else. Julian Price came from trailer trash and worked his ass off to get away from that. Along the way he transforms into what he was trying to get away from - arrogant asshole with a mind of a sociopath. Julian is riding high - graduation from a good college, gorgeous GF Lena and landing his dream job. Then in a blink of an eye everything is gone. Lena decides she has had enough and wants out of the relationship. This was a good start into this series and can't wait to read this series.

This was an interesting opener of a prequel, about a man will goals. Julian wanted to make something of himself, to prove to himself and everyone around that he come be more. Starting at the end of finals, Julian tells the tale of his future in art. All planned out with his love of his life - lens right by his side, forever. But life doesn't always work out that way and we sometimes turn into different people without out realising it. Great read.

This is my first book by Brittany and I couldn't put it down. Julian has not had the best life growing up, but he sure was determined to make one for himself now. Getting ready to graduate and share his life with the best woman on this earth was his goal. Until he starts noticing Lena doesn't seem to be herself. What is going on with her. Julian is determined to find out!!!

This is a gripping, emotional story that had me hooked throughout. It's well written, flows easily, and can be read in a fairly short amount of time. It ends in a cliffy, and I can't wait to see what happens next. I really enjoyed this book.

This is a quick read. Julian and Lena have been a couple for 2 years, both studying Art. Julian is a complete control freak but totally unaware of his faults. After poor Lena has had enough she enlists the help of loveable Logan and Julian freaks. I wont say no more other than I'd like another book on all 3 characters with POV from everyone not just Julian

A quick read with high impact! This was my first read by the author and it did not disappoint. For such a short story the author is able to draw in her reader with its storyline and characters. Although I’m not a fan of Julian Price, I enjoyed what happens throughout the story. Definite will see what else this author has to offer.

Wow this book was intense from the very first page! It was interesting that it was written from the male point of view. The characters were well written and you could relate to both points of view. This book left me wanting more even though there was emotional abuse and manipulated. This is the first book I’ve read from this author but I’m definitely going to read her other stories.

Julian Price is not a nice guy, yet I can't help but want to get inside his head and learn more about him. This is a short story, more of a prequel, taking place before Back To Me. Looking forward to finding out more about Julian and Lena!
