Four let’s make a party to congratulate we have a new evil-genius, sarcastic writer in the town who knows how to write a great mean romantic comedy stars!!!

I think promoting this book as a great choice for the fans of “Hating Games” might be wrong. Only thing there is similar with Sally Thorne’s book is “HATING”part. The characters are not colleagues. This is not slow burn enemies to lovers story. They’re already engaged. This could be best defined as friends-lovers-enemies-friends-again lovers

okay, i just want to make it clear what this book is about...

it's about a couple about to get married but they hate each other and they're going to try to get the other to leave because whoever leaves has to pay the wedding bill... so they prank each other and are awful to each other

Talk about putting your emotions through the absolute wringer. This novel frayed my nerves, keeping me on a razor sharp line between hope and despair. It is funny, this story. I'd go so far as to say that it's hilarious. It's superbly smart. Quick. Sharp. But that humor comes at the expense of the imminent demise of a relationship as an engaged couple engages in a turbulent war of roses. Their relentless attempts at sabotaging their relationship in order to get the other to break things off ...more

An honest depiction of how dishonesty in a relationship can be its undoing. You Deserve Each Other is a sharp and witty look at how relationships take work to succeed, and how being true to yourself and each other is at the very core of a romantic connection. Earthy, authentic, and laugh out loud funny, I read this in one sitting. A refreshing and unputdownable debut!

This was such a great debut for Sarah Hogle!!! I went into this with equal parts intrigued and wary. I am not a fan of a lot of angst or the snippy back and forth. It gives me real anxiety. I am so glad I gave this a chance. Naomi's crazy was so funny and real. And with ALL the interaction between her and Nicholas you could feel the love under al the antics. We get to see them discover each other again and become so much stronger for it. Loved it!!

this sounds like my guilty-bored-pleasure Hallmark movies
I received a copy of this title via NetGalley. It does not impact my review.

The cute cover and the reference to The Hating Game definitely drew me to You Deserve Each Other. Unfortunately, it was just not for me.

Naomi has to be one of the most unlikable characters I have ever read. For about the first 60% of the book I really thought she’d be better suited as the narcissistic villain in a psychological thriller rather than the heroine in a Romance. She is just so, so awful and self-centered. She

This book is what happens when you take The Hating Game and turn the antics and schemes up to eleven!

I read this book twice in as many days. Needless to say, I kinda loved it. Do yourselves a favor and add this to your TBR!

I nearly bailed on this enemies-to-lovers romance as the female lead was so obnoxious, and we stayed right in her POV. But the writing grabbed me, and the glimmers of humor kept me there.

I was so very glad I stuck to it. Naomi and Nicholas started out in love (more in lust, is implied) but non-communication and missed cues begin to have a toxic effect. Add in Naomi living inside her head and encouraging her own worst tendencies as she begins a campaign to get Nicholas to dump her first (the

Wow okay you don’t have to do that to my heart but ok

** Thank you Netgalley for sending me this arc in exchange for an honest review **

This book is not your typical romance. It's not even your typical enemies to lovers romance. This is a lovers to enemies to friends to lovers romance. And after reading this, I don't know why there aren't more like it.

The first half of this book, it was hard to imagine how this couple once loved each other, why they loved each other, and how it was possible to

you know when you read a synopsis for a book and you briefly consider the idea that there must be a god out there because they have clearly responded to your very specific and admittedly slightly niche reading tastes

literally this exact plot is precisely the book I always knew I wanted but thought I would have to write myself in order to get it
5/5 stars

You Deserve Each Other is definitely going into my personal hall of fame of books that I will tell everyone to read because it was just that good.

It was fun to read and it had that romcom quality that I always appreciate and look for in a romance book.
The the characters’ dynamic and characters themselves were great and the development of their relationship felt organic with the entire story.

Really don’t want to review this one for you guys. It was delightful to go in with no expectations.

I laughed. I got teary. I laughed til I got teary. There’s an edge to this book. The mean is real - the cartoony pranks you expect from a rom com with an honesty that makes them verge on uncomfortable. It flirts with Over the Top. It’s almost silly and almost horribly mean.

I think the underlying sweetness both saves it and makes it more excruciating. All of that

there's part of this book that is basically wish fulfillment for anyone who has ever read an r/relationships post about an overenthusiastic-in-the-wrong-way future-motherinlaw and wanted them to get punched in the face
If I had the emotional capacity to cry right now—it’s 4:48 and my device is on 20%—I would be. Do you guys ever read a book that’s just. It’s just everything you want it to be, everything you need it to be? Because that’s what You Deserve Each Other felt like.

Oooh I am so happy right now. So giddy and full of light and fluffy emotions. This is one of the best rom coms I have ever read—and one of the funniest too! It’s so full of love and amazing characters and the humour is just chefs kiss. I

So much fun and such a delightfully sweet, funny, touching, crazy story. I smiled through the whole book :)
As soon as I read the synopsis for this on Goodreads, I was game to read what I believed would become my next favorite romance. I was sure this would be a 5-star read, this book hooked me in, and I started off loving it. I loved how this was a unique take on the enemies to lovers trope, given that it existed in an already engaged couple. I found it easy to sympathize with both Naomi and Nicholas as they both had valid points as to why they felt their relationship was falling apart. I was ...more

I've been reading like crazy lately, romances mainly which is so odd for me, but I've been flying through them, rating them, and not writing reviews. As entertaining as I find them, I can discern between a 5-star rating and a romance that is still like the rest of them in so many ways. A book can be more of the same and still be great to me.

But I'm stopping in here to say that this one is NOT like the rest of them, and it absolutely deserves more than just the praise of a high rating. I say

I loved this a lot. It was funny, completely deranged, and so so full of love. I think I loved it a little more than The Hating Game because the two main characters, Nicholas and Naomi, do indeed hate each other, but they also, throughout the entire book, still very clearly LOVE each other and you can truly feel it. Their journey (tee em) back to each other is a little insane at times but that makes it so much fun. Can't wait for this to come out so everyone I know can read it and die a happy ...more

You deserve each other desperately needs another PoV.

You deserve each other , debut novel for Sarah Hogle , follows Naomi winters , who I suspect has a serious case of paranoia.

Naomi can't remember when she fell in love with Nicholas. They're engaged and live together , while she figures out he tortures her (???!!!) into calling off the wedding. Naomi , in return makes Nicholas's life miserable and the petty fights this begun.

Pacing :

The pacing is pretty much steady throughout the book .

3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

"I am behind the wheel of Nicholas's Jeep that he bought without telling me and have entirely too much time alone with the disturbing revelation that I'm an asshole."

Never have I enjoyed a love story about two people who were absolute assholes (to each other) so much.

Don't get me wrong, I do love a good asshole character but both Nicholas and Naomi demonstrated qualities that, in entire honesty, made them highly unlikeable - in

I had no idea of such a concept, but this is definitely one of my favorite books that I've ever read. I took my time reading every word, and yes, it made it a longer read for me, but I really grasped
