Unique for its blend of style and substance, this introductory text uses a balanced and systematic application of sociological theory throughout to help students see the difference between myths and realities about society.
The first book I read on sociology, and the best in the field by far. It's simple, to the point and very informative as well. The pictures, the illustrations, graphics, colors, the touch of the book and everything about the book is amazing. How the chapters are divided, and how the subtitles and the topics are grouped into short articles is very suitable. The statistics, the terms and definitions, the main ideas are very well presented.
That said, I couldn't agree with all the viewpoints of the author, though.
