This is an excellent book. It doesn't cover the act of invention itself, but rather everything that surrounds the act: protecting your IP, commercializing, and much more. Exactly the resource I was looking for.

It is, however, a bit of a cautionary tale. Commercializing is a much different business from invention itself. The book seems to imply that there is an opportunity to specialize here: that an inventor can (and should) partner with someone who's interest is in business.
