I like to think of myself as the good guy.

The kind of man that will take a beating or a bullet for my brothers and not think twice about it. But anyone that knows my story has only seen the tip of the proverbial iceberg and my intentions sometimes resemble the Titanic.

It's when I lose control.

I do my best to love and respect everyone because some people need it more than o

"We’re killers. We’ve been trained for death and glory by the deadliest man in the world."

Martyris is part of a series of interconnected standalones, each book features a killer, assassin for The Cavalieri Della Morte. This is Gareth's story, Book #3. All the books are standalones, I reiterate.

WOW! Yolanda Olson played with my brains and I liked it. This one completely blindsided me! I did not see that coming. I have an urge to re-read to look for hints. Gareth's story is a complete mystery f

Now that is how you write a dark romance book!

Filled with shocking suspense Yolanda Olson certainly takes you on a ride and drags through through ever single emotion with this book.
I didn’t know what to expect- but it wasn’t that!

The mystery kept me flipping pages, my brain was hurting trying to pick up on the clues... nothing worked lol.

Round of applause, an awesome book that I thoroughly enjoyed

Oh my God, what an ending! I know I’m starting my review backward but I have just finished this and I’m all emotional over it. I’ve expected something twisted and dark but this was also so sweet and tragic that I just… wow. Ms. Olson completely blew me away with Gareth and Bentlee’s story, and that’s why I love her stories so much - I never know what to expect and can never guess how it all will end. Without giving too much away, I’ll just say this: it’s dark romance at its finest, so grab your ...more

This story is amazing!
I seriously have a shocked O face after finishing this book.
The author takes you on a suspense filled ride from the very first page. You get a glimpse into a dark side right from the start but then have no clue how the rest of the story all ties together until BAM! It is genius!
If you love a short read that is filled with darkness, drama, love and twists aplenty then this is for you.

I read this book about a week ago and I'm still in shock. This is part of the Cavalieri Della Morte series and I feel like you should read the others in the series just to give you a taste of the kinds of things you will witness and the types of people you will encounter.
This book was not at all what I was expecting and kudos to the author for really messing with the readers. I feel like this story was tricky and it takes skill to write in such a fashion. The talent to create this short b

Martyris (Cavalieri Della Morte series #3) by Yolanda Olson is the next book in the series. Gareth is one of Arthur's assassins. His weapon of choice is special made gloves that will tear and mutilate his victims. Gareth loves his job and his gloves. Unlike the other stories in the series, Gareth works out of Las Vegas. This story really threw me for a loop. His assignment from Arthur is to take out a target, unfortunately he has to figure out who it is. His only choices are the girl in his life ...more

This is part of The Cavalieri Della Morte Series. I highly recommend you read these and in order. So good you won’t want to miss out on any.

Ah shucks. How can I write a review without spoiling it for anyone. All I’ll say is you need to read Gareth’s story.

I’m not sure I liked the ending but I’ve faith in the author that she did the right thing.

This author sure knows how to pack a punch. Although a short read it’s a brilliant read. As soon as I started I knew I wasn’t going to put it down until

Ahhh what a beautifully tragically read.
This is the third book in the Cavalieri Della Morte series... Martyris like the first two books is a standalone...
Be prepared to have your mind messed with. Gareth is a killer, who has a soft spot for Bentlee. I have no words on how to describe this book other than nothing is what it seems, and that ending, seriously don't get me started.. I wanted more, So, so much more..

I can’t even with this book! This book is just 1 of I believe 13 that are set in the same universe. All the books mention the same characters. So you may read a name but not know the full background because that’s in another book. I’m totally cool with that. I want to read all the books to know all the details. But this book is about Gareth. He’s a deadly assassin the best of the best. You send him to torture a guy. As the book begins he’s killing a man. Of course he deserves it or so Gareth say ...more

Martyris is the 3rd book in the Cavalieri Della Morte series written by Yolanda Olson. Each book of the series is being written by different authors. As a reader, I love standalones, I love series (yes even with cliffhangers!), I enjoy reading them all, some more than others...series being my favorites. This particular series is turning out to be very interesting; I've read each one so far and have enjoyed them all. Yolanda Olson's 'Martyris' was one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride with a twist that I did not see coming!
Continuing with the third book in the thirteen book series entitled Cavalieri Della Morte, 'Martyris' tells the story of Gareth and Bentlee, and left me a wreck. As one of the brotherhood, Gareth gets the jobs that Arthur needs done, but needs done in a special way. And he always delivers. And all he needs in life are his brothers, his sense of duty and honor with his job, and his gi

It's the first book that I've read by the author and really loved the writing and the way she created the characters in this world where everyone is untrustworthy and dangerous as they are assassins.
I loved how the author showed that no matter the way that one chooses to live their life, we are all humans with feelings and have someone to be on our side always.
A fast-paced read, with turns and twist that will keep you reading this book in one sitting for sure.

Yolanda Olson you totally killed me with this book, I jumped at the chance to read all of these books in this series because of who the authors were and each and every one so far have been totally worth the read and the sitting on the edge of my seat while reading .
Gareth loves the only way he knows how and my heart is his.
I will not give this book away , you have to experience it to totally love it like I did.

Wow! I did not see that coming. Yolanda Olson always gives you a twist that leaves you thinking, wow!
This is the third installment on the interconnected series Cavalieri della Morte. Gareth and Bentlee story is twisted, it has its darkness but is also a story of love that is really poetic at the end.
Is fast paced and easy to read, another great story on the series.

I had to give this book five stars just for the difference in it. This book is a beautiful addition to the Cavalieri Della Morte series; it is unlike anything I have read before.

Gareth is an assassin for the Cavalieri Della Morte, and he is given a task to do. Tick tock, tick tock he has little time to do it. However, first Gareth has to figure out whom he has to go after. When and if Gareth does figure out whom he has to kill, will he be able to?

Yolanda brings some twists and turns to this s

Well, I guess the title finally made sense. To be honest, I was completely confused from the get-go, and as I read each chapter, I kept falling deeper down the rabbit hole. Yolanda Olson is a new author to me, and if this is her writing style, then sign me up! Her storytelling is quite unique and the ending brings you full circle and satisfies your questions.

Yolanda is a newish to me, writer, I’ve read a couple co-writes of hers and I’ve definitely been meaning to check out more of her work so I was thrilled when I found out she was participating in this series! Yolanda absolutely did NOT disappoint!

This book ended like I would never have guessed in a million years. I need to pick my jaw off the floor and wipe my eyes. The author SUCKS YOU IN and annihilates your heart. This book was short, but had so much in it that keeps this series going. You see more characters that you know their stories are coming.

In Short
- I still don't know how I truly feel about the ending.
- Gareth is a very unique character.
- A fast paced story line full of twists.

In Long
This is a hard book for me to review because I feel so conflicted and still, even days later, unsure about how I truly feel about the ending.

Gareth intrigued and drew me in right from the start. His character is a very unique one which had my mind reeling constantly with trying to understand him and the strange

Hes an assassin with a difference. He thrives on their pain and prolonging the death of his victim.

A mark, a puzzle and a countdown timer "tick tock" Can he work it out before it's too late?

A novella that has you guessing right until the very end. The suspence is delicious. The build up perfect. I loved every second of this. Just wish it had been longer.

Gareth is a man of darkness. The love of his life everything to him, secondary only to his brotherhood whom he has dedicated his life to.

This is not suspenseful romance. This is sad angst/tragedy with no happy ending. Just be forewarned.

Wow. That has got to be the dumbest, stupidest, worst thing I've ever read and that's saying something because I've read some pretty bad stories.

You know what the worst part is? The twist at the end that everyone seems so shocked by?

I guessed it in the first few chapters.

Martyris (Martyr) is set within the realms that is the Cavalieri Della Morte collection. This story revolves around Gareth and his beloved, Bentlee and the hit Gareth must carry out.

This gripping, riveting and provocative tale blends perfectly the consequences of what the loss of pure love does to one's perception and heart.
