Well, Jeff High has done it once again. Another wonderful edition to his Watervalley Series, and one that endears the characters even more. I have enjoyed reading all the books in this series, and this one was no exception. I do hope he will continue writing these books, for the characters become like family & friends that you truly know. I would love to live somewhere like Watervalley, but we can all do things to make our own little neighborhood a bit like it.

We have read all Jeff High's Watervalley books and treasure his descriptions and narratives about people who live full lives in small, rural communities anywhere. His insights and captivating language does a really good job with his male character. Hopefully he will continue the series, or develop a new approach to sharing balanced stories that show real men can be teachers, writers and medical professionals; they don't all need to be engaged in wars, violence, drugs or unwilling to be committed ...more
