Is it Reel Love or Real Love?

The moment I laid eyes on Finn Parker’s headshot, I knew that if this guy could act, I wanted him for the hero role in the film being made from my book, Fleeing an August Moon .

The tall, blond, and ruggedly handsome actor looked exactly like the picture I’d seen in my head the entire time I was writing the book.

Reel Love is destined to be THE feel-good summer read of 2019! Julie Richman has crafted a truly clever romance between an author and the man who would ultimately be her muse, both for her upcoming movie and for her love life. Frankie and Finn have that kind of connection that both thought was forever out of reach and as their lives go from professional to personal and everything in between, it's just a matter of time before the notion of a reel love becomes one that is all too real.

Reel Love by Julie A. Richman
Standalone Contemporary Romance
4.5 Stars

I love books where the movie star falls for the regular girl, and I love books that tie into the book world. Reel Love by Julie A. Richman was a perfect blend of both. Its unique storyline is so timely and relevant, and Julie’s beautiful and unique descriptions kept me fully engaged throughout the story.

I was so very intrigued by the synopsis of this story. Being an avid reader of romance novels the current trend of turning steamy romance novels into movies is very exciting for me. I loved getting a behind the scenes look at what that might look like, with the steamy parts being both on and off the screen.

I've been a fan of the author for years, she never disappoints. As I've come to expect, she writes the most amazing support

Reel Love is Julie A. Richman's newest fun, flirty, unique love story. I've been a fan of Julie's since her first book and she was the first author I stalked on facebook! I still stalk her and I won't even apologize for it! Her writing is top notch and her stories are always unique with characters we fall in love with. Francesca wrote a book and it became a best seller and now it's going to be made into a movie. As the author she gets the final say in casting and when she sees Finn Parker it's l ...more

Reel Love is Julie Richman's newest contemporary romance release.

I was hooked by the synopsis of this book - a romance book being turned into a movie. It's as though real life is being written into a book.

Frankie has the final say in who is casted for her book, something that is not the norm in Hollywood. Finn wants to land the role since it is being herald as the next box office smash. But to what lengths is Finn willing to go? And will Frankie mix up who she sees in her head as her

5 Star review of Reel Love by Julie A Richman

Julie A Richman is a new author to me and I have to say that I loved Reel Love from the first to the last page. The story she wove reeled me in hook, line and sinker and I could not put it down. It had such an interesting blurb that I couldn’t help but jump at the opportunity to read an ARC and review.

To Frankie Simonelli, Finn Parker is exactly who she envisioned as Griffin Chase when she wrote the character. Finn knows that if he can land this role,

Frankie Simonelli is living a dream she never imagined. Watching her words come to life on screen is at the top of every author’s wish list -- and she gets final say in all casting. When she sees Finn Parker’s headshot she knows she has found her Griffin. But the studio wants to hire Hollywood hot shot Maverick Dailey. Both men would be great in the roll (and both want it) but she can only choose one.

This was a fun twist on a Hollywood romance. I loved Frankie’s view of Hollywood and couldn’t h

This book was such a good read; I was hooked from the beginning and loved reading it to the last page. As with all of Julie Richman's stories, it is really well written and flows really well. It has a great storyline, captivating scenes and wonderful characters.

This is a story about the world of Hollywood, it's high expectations, unrealistic relationships and living up to the dream. It's about real love in an unreal world. Frankie is an author who is having her best seller made into a movie. I l

It’s going to be another Julie A. Richman winner. Her plots always grab you and keep you hooked, her characters are well developed, and you feel like you know them - keeps you going until you finish. A great Summer read for sure coming June 26th❤️. I can’t wait!!

I loved this plot within a plot story. An author who has full casting rights looking for the perfect lead for the movie being made from the book. The story of Frankie and Finn with a dashing Maverick, and others, along with some surprise

Reel Love by Julie A. Richman is going to be a summer blockbuster in the romance world. Every reader loves a Movie Star romance. A Rags to Riches story. Reel Love is so much more because it not only showcases the glamour of the film industry but also shows the manipulative side where actors are valued by dollar signs rather than true talent. It also presents a vivid description of the insecurities of struggling actors to the over confident superstars who use their clout to manipulate getting rol

Behind the glitz and glamour of Hollywood is a reality that only those in the business see and understand, which means to the unseen eye, tinseltown seems like a place where dreams come true and everyone involved in the movie industry are beautiful and live amazing lives.

But the truth isn’t as pretty as the perceptions of the Hollywood Hills because this industry consists of manufactured drama, fictitious worlds, and of fabricated connections/relationships, making it extremely difficult to be a

Reel Love was a Hollywood romance as only Julie Richman can craft. It was thoughtfully written with multi-faceted characters and vivid imagery. I loved the characters’ layers that were peeled away to reveal if they were “real or reel.”

After seeing so many author friends score movie adaptations of their books over the past couple years, I enjoyed Frankie Simonelli’s character immensely. She published a wildly successful novel, and is in the middle of trying to cast her movie adaptation when we f

I am so happy to say Julie Richman is back with another fantastic romance this time between an author and the actor hired to play her leading man.

Frankie Simonelli is far from her Texas home in the heart of Hollywood in the process of getting her highly anticipated book made into a movie. Reel Love by Julie A Richman was my first book by this author. I really enjoyed the writing style, characters and flow of the story. It centers on a book to movie adaptation involving Hollywood, which I love and a forbidden relationship from friends to lovers.

Finn is a struggling actor with a closed off past. He wants this movie role more than anything as it can change his life. Will he get some color in his life and be open to a relationship?

What a joy it is to read something different from one of your go to authors. Not only was I pleasantly surprised at the backdrop “Hollywood” but I loved how Julie Richman opened up a different world and anticipate new stories.

We meet Frankie from Houston, TX. She wrote a novel that became very popular with a subject matter very personal and dear to her heart. That alone would make a great topic of discussion for readers who keep up with current events. Frankie’s book was optioned for a movie an

We all know that Hollywood is the land of fantasies. For newly acclaimed author Frankie Simonelli, it represents her first opportunity to bring one of her stories to the silver screen. This is why she negotiated to control the casting. Whoever ends up playing her characters will need to bring to the screen the most faithful rendition of what the characters in her head look and feel like.

From the moment she saw his headshot, Frankie knew Finn Parker had the perfect look to play her character. Now

I know that this book's been called an ideal summer read by some of my fellow bloggers out there, but allow me to take it one step further by saying that Frankie and Finn's love story works wonderfully well during any season, but then that's par for the course when it comes to this author's work. I adored every single about this book, and Frankie and Finn were the sort of main characters that you could truly root for. I liked the beginning of the story, wh

I was so excited for this book and it did not disappoint. I always wonder if when authors are writing a book are they thinking of someone in particular for each of the characters. If their story gets picked up to be made into a movie do they get control over who plays their characters. These questions get answered in Reel Love.

Frankie is an author who writes a book that takes off. While writing her story she had a picture of someone in her mind for the hero. Hollywood however has other plans. P

I have always loved this author’s stories and this has become a new favorite!

This story is about a young author, Frankie, whose book became a huge success. Hollywood is in the process of making it a movie. She’s from a small town in Texas and heads to Hollywood to have final say in the casting of the actors.
Finn looks exactly like the lead character in her book, but can he act? He’s so interested in her book & very handsome and Frankie finds herself very caught up in his charm. It become clear

Julie is one of my favorite authors, and she doesn't disappoint in this latest offering. Reel Love takes us to Hollywood and gives a look into the heart of Frankie, the writer of a best-selling novel to be made into a movie, and Finn, an out-of-work actor, who wants the lead role in that movie. We see the manipulations and machinations that go on in this industry.

I liked Frankie and Finn from the get-go. Both are strong characters, but we are allowed to see their vulnerabilities and insecurities

I didn't know how much I would truly love this story! There's so much to unpack. There's the story of Frankie and Finn and then there's also Griffin and Gabriela's story. And their stories while connected are different.

I know nothing about the movie industry and very little about the literary industry so this was a nice peek into what I think they could be like. Frankie isn't a Hollywood type at all and that's what attracts people to her. She knew what she wanted to bring Griffin to life and it

Frankie Simonelli is the author of a bestselling novel that’s being turned into a movie (think blockbuster E.L. James huge). Hollywood B-list actor Finn Parker wants to land the leading role. What will he do to secure the role of a life time? Is Frankie falling for Finn or the actor trying to land the role of her favorite fictional boyfriend? Is there such a thing as real love in Hollywood or is it all about the film reel?

Reel Love was real original. What a great story with a cast of characters

This is the first book by this author and I am glad that I found it. I loved it. This was a great friends to lovers book about Frankie and Finn. The characters are so realistic in that they are trying to find themselves and that can be a hard thing to do when you don’t believe in yourself and the things that you can do. You will feel like you are right there with the characters and their struggles and you are going to root for them to get their HEA. This is a must read.

This is a story of a Texas girl who found amazing success in writing a book that struck a chord with the masses. But now Francesca "Frankie" Simonelli is heading to Hollywood to cast the movie. She is smart, sassy, strong-willed, and determined to make the right choice for her story.
