Cute story about a couple (Caroline and Aiden) who meet one day in Chicago at a food truck while Caroline is walking her dog Elvis. Aiden is instantly smitten with Caroline and before long they are spending time together. But what will happen when Caroline discovers Aiden's secret?
This was a highly enjoyable read. I liked Caroline. She had a job as a dog walker and her dog Elvis was really cute. Aiden was a sexy and very possessive hero. It was love at first sight for him. I thought Caroline and Aiden made a great couple.
A sweet and sexy romance by Alexa Riley. I look forward to reading Savannah's story, and more, by this author.

Like a typical AR book, this was a quick, steamy, heartwarming, low angst read! Even though her stories always include insta-love/ lust, I devour them and can’t wait for the next story to come out when I’m done! They have become my guilty indulgence, and my GR friends are pretty much the only people who know that I read these! Lol! Honestly, my hubby read one chapter and said: “ What the hell are you reading?!!!” I ended up blushing and speechless!!! So I just walked away and never answered!🤣🤣🤣 Will this stop me from reading these sexy stories?? Hell no!!! Lol!

I will freely admit that I am getting swept away by these insta-love stories filled with unabashed smut that Alexa Riley writes. Aiden and Savannah are married but it's purely platonic. When Aiden meets Caroline Parker, neither can ignore the sparks and soon things heat up but what will Caroline think about Aiden's marriage?
Despite Aiden being just a little of a caveman here "I don't want other men to look at you, you're mine...blah blah", I did like Caroline and her doggie pals.

I liked that this book was not your typical AR book. It has some angst and other woman drama. Hero is married to his best friend when he meets our heroine but his marriage is only on paper there are no feelings or intimacy. When he meets Caroline he immediately gets an annulment and asks Caroline to be his wife. I loved them together. Aiden and Caroline are perfect for each other. Can't wait for hero's ex wife book. Savannah will get her HEA with Wyatt and I can't wait. Adorable epilogues with jealous super possessive hero and 3 kids. Safe read. Hero is a virgin but I am not sure about the heroine! I want to believe that she was.

I never thought I'd dislike an AR book. It looks like today is the day, and I'm really annoyed and frustrated about it.
Aiden has been in a marriage of convenience with his best friend, Savannah; their relationship is on paper only, and at home they are more like housemates. Then one day he spotted Caroline; insta-love struck, and this guy has been openly flirting and kissing her even though he's legally married. 😐 To be fair, Savannah gave him the all-clear when anything like this happens, but he needs to be "discreet" when it comes to dating.
He never even disclosed to Savannah that he had met Caroline, much less told Caroline that he was married (obviously).
Aiden even had the audacity to become angry with Savannah for claiming to be his wife at a function to which Caroline had also been invited. I think the word "shock" is an understatement of Caroline's feelings. I feel like my blood is boiling, and I don't know how to calm down. 😤
Caroline didn't make matters any better. That evening, when Aiden came over to explain his "marriage," she accepted him right away and asked him to promise not to hurt her again. Was she for real with this reaction?? In my head, I was like, "You do realize that you're going to be the other woman in this scenario, right?".
She just agreed to accompany him to meet his wife the following morning without even asking him about the future of his marriage. Where are self-respect and common sense? I know his marriage is fake, but I do care a lot about the fact that Caroline will always be the mistress in the eyes of the law. Ugh! But whatever.
In any case, Aiden will most likely marry Caroline after divorcing Savannah. However, I'm no longer curious to see how the rest of the story plays out.

It’s all about principle people!
If you are married even if it is against your wishes, stick to the vows. Here it wasn’t temporary or fake so it felt awful for him to kiss heroine. And she was such a doormat. It would’ve been a 5 star read if only they waited to kiss and get intimate. Felt so much like cheating.
But I would love to read the books of heroine’s friend and hero’s ex wife.

I think this is something new and fresh from Alexa Riley, at least to me, in regards of the plot. Usually we get smut and OTT heroes with no drama what-so-ever. But in this story I think it was great to see some plot twists that at times made me feel mad and at the same time sad for all the main characters. It had more depth and made the story more interesting - not that I mind the usual fun and hot stories from this author. I was just in the right head space to read this story and that made me like it more than the other AR books. I wonder, if AR is thinking of making more stories with such plot twists because I think I'd really enjoy them. Afterall, who doesn't from time to time want to read a controversial storyline.

By now i have read too many Alexa Riley Romances to be impressed.Despite "Virgin Husband" having a different trope that AR used for the first time,it just missed something extra.

I had no idea this was a short story. If I had known I wouldn't have bothered. Because I just can't enjoy short books. I need more pages to fall in love with the story and the characters.
I really didn't like the story. Too many virgins here (the Heroine, her BFF, the Hero and his "wife"). Too much. I can't take this seriously. And they talk about their "virginity" all the time. Such a complex.
Couldn't warm up to the BFF.
Didn't really get to know either the Hero or the Heroine. They just fall in love on day 1 (insta-love after few seconds) and then there's bit drama on day 2(not really, for like 10 minutes and the ) and then they lose their virginity also on day 2. The END. Yeah.
I have no idea about their ages, how they spend their lives or anything.
Skipped the sex scenes.
Hated how the "ex-wife" of the Hero was hounded by the press (?) about her virginity and such. I mean come on?! That was just so gross.

Okay. I'll be honest. Alexa Riley usually does it for me whenever I want to read a mindless and safe smutty romance book. This one though... OMG. I had a hard with this book. It involved cheating between a married couple. Never mind that they are not in love and it was all part of an arrangement. I just CAN'T.

This was a bit different from your normal Alexa Riley books but still a great read.
Caroline Parker is finally making her own way in the world, living independently from her parents and has moved in with her best friend. She doesn’t have the job of her dreams but her dog walking business is taking off and for the first time in her life she feels truly happy. But once she meets Aiden and falls in love but Aiden comes with complications and secrets will she take a chance and see what happens or is she destined for heartbreak.
When Aiden Clark married his best friend Savannah he thought he was doing the right thing and saving them both from meddling parents. After losing his sister all he wants is to make his family happy, he never thought he’d find the woman of his dreams least of all at a food van, but once he meets Caroline he knows by her side is where he is meant to be. But will she stay when she finds out he’s married and how can he convince her she’s all he sees?
Great story with good chemistry looking forward to the next book and have my fingers crossed that we learn Gia and Marco’s story too.

"Virgin Husband" is the story of Caroline and Aiden.
Another AR goodie with double V card, insta lust, no-glove-love, insane attraction, saccharine dialogues but with only one difference- the hero is married in this one- to his best friend, because of parental pressure, but everyone is a virgin.
For me, the married thing make it a tiny bit icky, but apparently he had not even kissed his wife, whom he treated like a sister, so I guess it was kinda OK!
Overall a good read with sweet epilogues.

So going to be a unpouplar opinion...this first part of the duet series wont be my favorite AR books.. first of all yes the hero is only married by paper and she has been best friends forever..(she going to be in duet 2 ).. only married her as a favor.. yes she him only as a friend.. but i just hate the idea.. so when he finds his one his Caroline thats it.. i don't like OW drama.. i felt more bad for the soon to be ex-wife more then these two which is sad.. also does it still count as cheating even if the married couple never had sex? They still married like emotional cheating??
Low angst, ow drama the ex fiance at first was seen as bitchy, drama, sexy times, virgins.

I love Alexa Riley because their heroes are always sweet, loveable alpha-makes who take what they want, when they want it. And Aiden is all of those things!
Married—in name only—to his best friend, in an arranged marriage, Aiden is looking for that spark. Something that will make him happy and complete. And then he sees Caroline.
If you’ve read Alexa Riley before then you know that once he sees Caroline, all bets are off.
Once Aiden sees what he wants, he goes for it.

I liked this story. It is different from what these women normally write and I liked the change up. Aiden and Caroline are good characters that have a lot of chemistry together. Aiden was definitely in a difficult situation.
Safety
Some people could consider what Aiden did cheating. His marriage may have been on paper only but he was still married. Savannah was an unlikeable woman but I’m sure we’ll learn more about her in the next book. She causes some minor drama. Aiden is a virgin but I’m really not sure about Caroline. I want to say she was but I’m not 100% positive. There is no abuse!

Probably one of my least favorite Alexa Riley books. I thought Aiden was super boring and one dimensional. Caroline wasn’t much better.
I’m not sure if this was an early AR story but the writing wasn’t great and there were a lot of inconsistencies.
I love when the guy is a virgin but hate it when it’s in name only. He shouldn’t be super confident about sex and know exactly what to do. Basically defeats the point of calling him a virgin in the first place.
Lastly, the set up the second book but the two characters it’s supposed to be about are awful! I absolutely don’t want to read their story. I’m pissed that I’m a completionist at heart and will have to force myself to read it before I can move on the other books in the series.
I’ll definitely have to take a break before I read that one though. Ugh.

What's not to love about Alexa Riley's "Virgin Husband" in Aiden's and Caroline insta-love story? It's most certainly not the bossy Elvis, Carolina's dog who hates walking in the rain but loyal to anyone who feeds him bacon! Well maybe Aiden's marriage of convenience to his bratty best friend, Savannah mainly due to good intentions after losing his sister and Savannah's fear of her father ! But hey, this is Alexa Riley's story so all will be as right as rain because they know us readers want sweet but hot HEA stories! And boy did the author's give it to us in this tale!
Can't wait for Savannah's story... with none other than the cocky Wyatt lawyer and friend to Aiden and Savannah!

"Virgin Husband" is my third story by this duo of authors and the one I have liked the most.
As usual with the authors' format, the wealthy caveman falls in love with the typical naive and virgin girl, they have sexual relations and live happily ever after. However, in this one, the caveman is a virgin too.
This short story, a difference from the others, doesn't jump into sexual heat since the first page. Yes, there are way too much sexual scenes, but it was good to get to read more about the characters before reading about their sex.
The best thing about the stories from the authors is that, while they mostly don't make sense for being too unrealistic and absurd, they are super fast passing and addictive. Once you read one, most likely you will be back for more.

It is earlier briefly explained that Aiden marries his friend (who was also his deceased sister's bff) and they both share this emotional baggage. Also, Aiden married this friend to save her from her controlling father. I liked this slight insight into the lives of some grown women. Marriage really IS their ticket to independence and freedom. This is the only reason I choose to forgive this otherwise very, very strange plot.
So it is now cleared that Aiden is husband only on paper and him and his wife have never slept together or kissed or been intimate in any way at all.

This is the first of the new duet that the amazing author, AR has written for her fans and readers but it's still a standalone. I loved everything about this story. The chemistry and instant connection of Aiden and his Caroline was tangible and sexy as hell ;)
When I first read the blurb, got to admit I was intrigued in how the story would turn out but it was fantastic! There's definitely no cheating and lots of baby making scenes ;)
I definitely can't wait for the conclusion of this duet which will be Savannah's story, "The Virgin Wife"! I'm super excited :)
