I have done all of Kelly’s Bible Studies and love how she included recipes for us to try! I also love how she gives us stories and background about her recipes! So when I heard she had a cookbook coming out, I was “IN”! Her reputation proceeds her! I can’t wait to get to cooking and to share with others at my own table!!

I’ve done two of Kelly’s Bible studies and look forward to working my way through this cookbook. Kelly has a passion for Jesus and the community of believers so this book will not disappoint!
I’ve made Kelly’s two-day chicken noodle soup and it was fabulous! I believe it was in 1,2,3 John Bible study.

I received an advanced reader copy from B&H Publishing and this is my honest review. If you are like me and want more from a cookbook than just a listing of recipes, this is your book. Kelly shares stories about her life as well as articles about canning, growing herbs, etc. with beautiful pictures interspersed throughout the book. The recipes aren't complicated or extremely time consuming. I have made the Summer Cherry Tomato & Basil Pasta and the Berry Trifle and both were simple to make and v ...more

I received an advance reader copy from the publisher. This is my review:
After I began to read A Place at the Table, I suddenly wanted to go to a Farmers Market and find the freshest ingredients possible to try out the recipes. The way Kelly writes about food - growing it, cooking it and sharing it with special people - makes me want to give more thought and intention to meal planning, and to allow more time for preparation, to enjoy the whole process and see it as a gift I give to others, rathe

I received an advanced reader’s copy of this fabulous cookbook from B&H Publishing, and this is my honest review. If you have ever been through one of Kelly Minter’s Bible studies, you will quickly see that this cookbook is pleasantly different. First, her co-author, Regina Pinto, has helped assemble all of the recipes. There are words of encouragement, prayers, family stories and of course tasty recipes to share around your own table with family and friends. Each one is quick and easy to prepar

I was so excited to receive an advanced reader copy of this book from the publisher and it did not disappoint. The photos are beautiful and the recipes are easy to follow. The stories she writes about family and food are relatable and encouraging. Our family loves being hospitable and this cookbook helps us be more intentional in doing so. I am looking forward to making more of her recipes....the cilantro chicken enchiladas were amazing!

This book is absolutely beautiful. It’s one of those cookbooks you can read and enjoy and find relaxing even without making any of the recipes. But then you’d be missing out because these recipes are awesome. They’re a perfect blend of easy to make and delicious to eat. My favourite so far is the sundried tomato and feta pasta which is so simple and yet not something I would have thought to put together. I love the author’s desire to help people connect and invite people to their table without b ...more

A Place at the Table is more than just a cookbook with a healthy dose of nourishing recipes. It has stories woven throughout that also tie together the mindfulness of bringing people together to not just eat and be satisfied physically, but to satisfy a need we all have....a place to belong and be loved.

I received an advance reader copy of this cookbook from the publisher, and here's my review. I've done several of the author's Bible studies, and she always includes recipes, playlist suggestions, etc. (i.e.: tools needed to curate a whole experience for your guests). So an entire cookbook of her recipes...yes, please! I love that in this book also includes canning and gardening, and the recipes make creative use of fresh, seasonal ingredients. So first up is roasted chicken with root vegetables ...more

I received an advanced reader copy of the book from the publisher and, I have to say, this cookbook is a great addition to anyone’s collection! While I’ll admit none of the recipes are “new,” they’re great takes on classic favorites which are easy to prepare and perfect for bringing the entire family together. Everyone should give this cookbook a try! As the author eloquently states, “Food is a blessing and cooking is an invitation for us to be involved in that blessing.”

I love cooking and community, and A Place at the Table does such a good job at integrating the two together. I also loved Kelly’s personal stories about food, faith, & family. This cookbook has also inspired me to incorporate more fresh & seasonal items into my cooking as well as tips to start an herb garden.

The pictures and personal stories about gardening and communicating over delicious food really reminded me why I love to cook and show hospitality. I highly recommend it!

I absolutely love this book.  My daughter and I have enjoyed trying out the recipes in this book together.  My husband and son have enjoyed eating the meals that we have tried.  I have to say the recipes we have tried so far are delicious.  The stories in the book are a added bonus.  This book although a cookbook is so much more.  I know you will enjoy it as well.

Kelly Minter’s cookbook not only contains scrumptious, easy-to-prepare recipes, it’s styled beautifully! I received an ARC of the book and this is my honest review. One of my favorite things about the book is that there are pictures of all the recipes so you see ahead of time what it looks like. There are also practical tips provided. The prep time allotments are realistic - I haven’t found this always to be the case when using other cookbooks. There are several quick, delicious recipes that are ...more

I have been eagerly awaiting the release of A Place at the Table by Kelly Minter and Regina Pinto for a long time. Kelly has a definite talent of being able to write and articulate with knowledge and emotion. I was thrilled when she announced that she was planning to release this book along with the renowned chef Regina Pinto. What a pleasure it’s been to ...more

I've been able to come together at my table with friends over the additional content as well as sharing how fun and simple several of the recipes are. Kelly leaves words of encouragement, kitchen/garden tips, and her personal love for hospitality behind that just motivate you to want to do more with the blessing God has given us through food. I just received this book yesterday. I haven't made any of the recipes yet, but I have looked through it many, many times and I think you can still give a review of a cookbook by just reading through it, even if I haven't used any of the recipes. This book is beautiful! It was a little smaller than I expected. Not meaning pages, but actual size of the book. I love how Kelly shares so much more than just recipes, but her faith, her family and friends and numerous tips! The recipes are simple yet ...more
