She was my enemy…
I was her new captor….

She was the enemy…a tiny little temptress of a woman that made my blood sing for vengeance. I should be punishing her…breaking her from the inside out after finding her in my father’s clutches.

But when I discover the truth that she is just as much as a victim of my father's wrongdoings as I am I can’t follow through.

Xander and Ella... sooo to tell you the truth, I didn't enjoy their story as much as I enjoyed the previous two books in "The Rossi Crime Family" series. I can't pinpoint what was the drawback for me... Anyway, I'm going to read Ivan and Violet's story. I hope that I'll like it more!

Keep Me (The Rossi Crime Family #3) by J.L. Beck and Cassandra Hallman was something... WOW!

I liked this book a lot, it was thrilling, exciting, addictive, suspenseful and just dark. The romance was twisted but sweet. Only the ending was a tad bit too cheesy for my liking, especially for such a dark romance thriller.

I liked Xander, even he terrified me in this book and the second one as well, he is just such a protective, controlling and secretly romantic alpha crime-boss that he captured my hea

Where has this J.L. been? Never did I ever think I would have a dark theme, disturbing theme or abuse with a J.L. Beck story but hot dang here it is, and I freaking loved it. Keep Me was so beautiful, I had to read it in one sitting. I had been waiting for this book and was not disappointed at all.

We met Xander Rossi in the last book Protect Me. He is a big jerk and has no issue with hurting people. It is pretty much what he does to protect his family and his business. When he and his brothe

I actually just finished this book. The story between Xander and Ella is amazing! It's hot and steamy but rough around the edges. I actually read the first two books again last week and waiting for this one and trust me, it did not disappoint 💖 If you are looking for an edge of your seat rollercoaster ride of sex, power and a love story this is it! Go for it!

This is the third book in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. The story is fast-paced with lots of drama and plenty of steam. Ella is trying to find her sister and winds up in some trouble of her own, Xander finds her but is he really her savior? Great characters and amazing chemistry. I am looking forward to more in the series.

Keep Me ravaged more than just my heart. It stole a part of my soul and refused to give it back. Instead it gave me a piece of a breathtaking love story that would reach past normal boundaries and find myself peering into a darkness that I wasn’t sure would swallow me whole or keep me from breaking apart. The searing heat and gentle compassion left my mind reeling as I tried to understand how to balance a dangerous man like Xander with a down on her luck woman like Ella. Keep Me: Broken Heroes #3, The Rossi Crime Family #3 by J.L. Beck, Cassandra Hallman

Not a Fan....

The hero in this book thought talking about how tough he was, or how he was consumed by darkness, or how he can beat up a woman then kill her is a piece of cake, made him a tough mafia guy. Not. His name for the heroine? Mouse. So degrading. The h thinking that is okay? Weakling. Like I said, not a fan...

I read this book in one sitting. No joke. I got the book and couldn’t put down my phone, that’s how sucked in I was.

Having already seen Xander in Protect Me, I wasn’t shocked at his behaviour but sometimes his actions were so gruesome that I really had to pause and take a breather. He’s intense. There’s no other way to put it.

This book follows Xander through something he never wishes upon himself and feels as though he can never have, love. It punches him straight in the gut and he’s forced to c

This series is getting so good. They are each standalone, but I feel you get more out of them if you read them in order. This is Xander and Ella’s story. You met Xander in Protect Me and learn he is Damon’s brother. These two brothers are searching for their father whom they thought was dead. Ella is searching for her sister and ends up caught. When Xander and Ella meet, she is put at ease. She thinks he will save her. However, Xander is a cold and cruel man who never does anything unless there ...more
I WANTED to like this one, and it even had a good start—jumping right in and capturing my attention from the get-go. Unfortunately, the more I read, the more it started to lose me. And not because of the plot. Sure, it’s been done before, but I don’t care—I’m always up for a good antihero who takes an innocent heroine and makes her his. No, my problem was the way it was executed. Xander and Ella both just fell flat for me. We’re constantly TOLD that Xander is such a bad guy, etc, but there’s rea ...more

Loved this dark twisted romance!

This is an excellent story with strong characters that I fell in love with. When Xander finds Ella (or Mouse as he calls her), she is tied to a bed in a house his father was hiding out in. Believing she is one of his father's wh*res, he decides to take her and interrogate her for information about his father's whereabouts. Ella doesn't know what the heck is going on, all she knows is she woke up in lingerie and tied up after trying to find her sister. Next thing s

Xander is trying to find his revenge and his father, but when he barley misses him, he finds something so much more precious to him. He finds Ella (aka Mouse) tied up in the basement and decides he needs to keep her, use her and destroy her since she belongs to his father. But what happens when she fits perfectly in his arms? Will he find a better use for Mouse?

Ella wakes up in a basement, tied to a bed and wearing practically nothing. But what is worse is the evil man that has his eyes on her.

I received an ARC of this book. While I love the dark side of Xander and the light Ella brings to him, the "edge" is all we see. This series has had me hooked through Hero (Convict Me) and Damon (Protect Me), which slowly gave us an image of what the dark side of a crime family would truly be like. Although I love the characters, I was disappointed to not see the true dark side of Xander. I felt Damon to be more sinister through Protect Me than Xander in this book (although Xander is the one tha ...more

I really enjoyed this book. It is book three in this series but I think if you wanted to, you could read it as a standalone. However, do keep in mind that characters reappear and there are certain story events and elements that playout and are referred back to. So, I will leave the choice to you. Readers familiar with the series will be well aware of the character of Xander. He appears in his brother Damon's book. He is a dark, harsh, violent and often brutal character and I loved seeing Ella (M ...more

Wow! JL Beck does it again with the third book in this series. I don’t know how she does it but they just seem to keep getting better and better. I loved this book!

Ella and Xander’s story is such a roller coaster. Meeting Xander in the last book all I could think was this guy is a royal jerk that is pure evil even to his own brother. This book shows why he is that way and shows he is human and not a monster. He cares but is a scared boy afraid to give his heart only to be stomped on again.

Our heroine is looking for her missing sister and goes missing herself. Our hero is looking to find his father, but finds his victim, our heroine, instead. Can these two help each other in their quests?

This is book three in the series, but works perfectly fine as a stand alone. Any background information you need is provided early on.

This is indeed a dark romance, with some harsh materials early on, but the story itself is very well written and gets past that into our developing chemistry betwee

This is another win for the writing team of J.L. Beck and C. Hallman. Keep Me is the story of Ella and Xander, Damon’s brother (from Protect Me). Ella is an innocent who is searching for her sister, Violet, who has come up missing.

Ella goes to dangerous places looking for Violet and finds herself abducted into sexual slavery by none other than the evil father of Xander and Damon. What she doesn’t know is that although Xander and Damon are Mafia, like their father, they are looking to destroy th

This series keeps getting better and better. This is the third one in this series and oh my god I have to say the best one so far. This one is about Xander and Ella.Ella is a very innocent girl who is searching for her sister Violet. But in the process she is kidnapped. Xander finds her and things escalate from there. That is when this book jumps to intense. I absolutely love what is going on between these two. Ella has no idea what she is dealing with when it comes to Xander. Will he be her sav ...more

I'm actually giving this fantastic book 4 1/2 stars. I wish there was a way to give half stars. Anyways, this book was exciting with heart pounding action and the sex was off-the-charts hot!!! Xander is not a nice man, as you found out in the previous book in the series, Protect Me. I have to say for most of the book I did not like him AT ALL! There were snippets of a good man that Ella brought out, but he would easily slip back into monster mode when he was angry. When I had about an hour left ...more

When Ella gets caught up in a slavery ring she hopes for an escape. When she meets Xander she thinks that her luck has changed. Xander is drawn to Ella however she is a means to an end for him. He saves her from his father but is unsure what to do with her so he keeps her with him until he does. The more time they are together the harder it is for Xander to keep things platonic. He feels Ella breaking down the barriers he has built to keep him from feeling things and isn't sure what to do about ...more

Xander and Ella’s story, I actually liked it. In ‘Protect Me’ book 1, Xander was so dark to me, I wondered how he would be in his own story. That Darkness mix with his arousal in this story brought up his sex appeal for me.

Book 2 picks up from book 1. So, that was good to see. The first part of the book had mainly scenes with Xander and Ella, then midway through we get to the action and Mystery that is Xander and Damon’s fath

Carla's Five Star Review

Keep Me is the third book in The Rossi Crime Family series, and it is Xander and Ella's story.

After reading about Xander in Protect Me, I was intrigued. Yes, he is a bad ass. Yes, he will kill you in the blink of an eye, but deep down his heart is not completely black. After being betrayed, the last thing he is looking for is love. Until Ella. She is the yin to his yang, but can he let down his guard and let her in, and if he does, can he protect her from his enemies?
