The author uses glitter for the snow animals to make them glisten and look like snow in this story. It’s the eye catcher. I like it. This is another grumpy bear story. There do seem to be a lot. The artwork is cozy and cute and the story is told in verse - score.

Bear is grumpy and all the animals are scared of him, but rabbit. Rabbit is always friendly and happy with him even if Bear is gruff back. One day Bear wakes up and finds a snow rabbit in his yard and as he is grumbling, snow falls on him and injures the snow rabbit. He stomps around the village asking who built that snow rabbit (you would think it’s obvious). Everyone is scared of Bear today. He finds Rabbit and they fix the rabbit together and build more.

It’s a great story to melt your heart. The nephew thought this was too cute. He loved the bear and rabbit together and he loved the animals and their snow creatures. We haven’t had any snow and he is dying to go out and make a snowman. He gave this book 4 stars

This is our second winter of not having any winter. We have had a flurry or two, but it’s been warm and no winter. I’m longing for cold and snow, so I’ll probably put up a lot of books about snow. If I can’t have real snow, then I’ll have to read about stories that do.

Because Bear is always in a bad mood, the other forest animals have come to fear and avoid him. After all, he seems to have a terrible temper and chases them away. But Rabbit decides to be kind to him anyway and offer a friendly greeting and a gift. He builds a snow rabbit in Bear's front yard. Bear is quite annoyed, and he is determined to find the culprit. Once he does, Rabbit cheerfully agrees to patch up the snow creature, which has become damaged when more snow landed on it, the two of them end up making other figures. As it turns out, all that Bear really needed was some friends to share his day with. The illustrations show just how irrepressible Rabbit is, smiling and friendly even when Bear seems uninterested in his kind overtures.

Loved this sweet tale about a very grumpy bear, who wouldn't allow anyone to get near him or his home. The illustrations are vrey beautifull which attract even those kids who are not so into books at all. I read it to my 2 year old, this winter and might I add she digged the book from the moment she saw it. She might not understand what I've read to her right now, but in time, she will.

I totally recommend it!

A story about winter and a grumpy bear that the other animals avoid. But one animal builds a snow rabbit. This angers bear until he solves whodunit and why. When an animal comes to fix it and builds something new the bear changes and this story ends with an unexpected resolution. Illustrations are glittery and tactile fun.

Story is predictable, but still a cute story about making friends. Alison Edgson's illustrations are a delightful touch. It is just very "happy and sweet" throughout the book, even though Bear is grumpy all the time, you know that it will be "okay" and work out in the end. Will make a cute board book (especially lap size) and watch out for glitter bombs!

Super cute! I loved the illustrations, they reminded me of Precious Moments a lot. The story was really good, too. It reminded me of Winnie the Pooh, but Rabbit was more like Pooh and Bear was more like Rabbit. I loved the glitter!

Kuvakirjassa on varsin suloinen sanoma, mutta haluaisin nähdä yhden tällaisen kirjan päinvastaisilla roolituksilla. Voisiko äreän karhun sijaan olla äreä pupu, jota isompi eläin lepyttelisi?

Syötävän suloinen kuvitus. Kuuntelijaa ärisevä ja vihaisen näköinen kontio pelotti.

Okay, I'm not going to lie, the glitter on every page seriously skews my judgment. I love sparkles! This is a cute book about a grumpy bear and friendship and all that good stuff. Not amazing, but I'd display it cause it's pretty!

Beautiful illustrations. Story is not very exciting, but it does make kids see that it isn't nice to always be grumpy.

A winter tale full of friendship, sure to warm you down to the tips of your toes.

One day Rabbit decides to build a snow rabbit to cheer up grumpy Bear. His success goes beyond his plan.

Deutsch has penned a wintery tale that is sure to warm up hearts everywhere. Nicely paced, the story introduces all of the animals in the neighborhood as it unfolds. Sweet, but not cloying.

Alison Edgson's illustrations are full of cool shades of blue - the snow, the evergreens, the sky, and the shadows - with Bear a steel gray color. Visual pacing works with the story. Interesting is the choice to use both quotations in the story and word bubbles to convey conversations.

Perfect for a winter's day reading for Toddlers - PreK.

This book is great for Pre-k to First grade! It's about a bear giving a chance to other animals to be friends with. The reason why is because the bear started to feel alone but decide to make peace with the animals. Overall a great book for the kids!
