Life is hard for everyone. But if you throw in religious parents, the death of a brother, and a desire to act, sing, and dance--when you don't look the way everyone expects (or wants)--it can be particularly difficult.

This is the story of Baxley Theodore Miller--Teddy. He acts, he sings, he tries to dance (he's working on it), he's gay, he's overweight, his parents are r

A really great read with characters I could identify with. Made me wish my time a summer camp had been that fun.

Oh, Teddy. My sweet, sweet Teddy. I want to squish him in a giant hug. And maybe Connor too for writing such a hilarious, poignant story.

I. Loved. This. Book! If I was ever going to sit down and hug a book after reading it, this would be the one. It's the perfect funny, feel good book -- but not in a too fluffy or obnoxious way.

I picked the right time of year to read it, since it takes place at a summer camp. The author described it all so perfectly. There’s a lesson in this book regarding identity, loss and love. I love the imperfections of Teddy. They make him perfect and easy to relate to as the readers loses themselves into his thoughts and sometimes ramblings. Check this out!

Lovely short read

Packs a lot of experiences with prejudice/privilege into a super sweet short story about growing up and accepting you are worthy of love, no matter who you are.
