The Red Plains are hot.
But my fae king?
Even hotter.

So, we kind of got captured by a warlike clan of Vundi warriors. Sounds bad, right? But they treat us as guests, and I’m coming to like them despite the ongoing threat of me being shipped off to the king beyond the mountain. I still endeavour to reach the winter kingdom and find a wa

Captured by the Vundi, Taylor & Leander persuade their kidnappers to meet with their council of elders and Chief Priestess to negotiate a better deal than the one the king beyond the mountain has offered.

Negotiating a mutually beneficial trade deal, Taylor & Leander are allowed to leave with their guards though the journey to the Winter Lands is far from over.

This series is so adicting and entertaining I literally cannot stop reading it! I know it's not without its flaws, but the story is truly so much fun (like the unicorn scene omg, I could't stop laughing😂)
I'm already higly anticipating the next book, and I'm excited to see where the story goes next!

I am obsessed with this series. Binge reading each book as soon as it releases. Fantastic PNR/Fantasy story telling packed with action, humour, heat and witty dialogue. Cannot wait for book 4. Definitely recommend.

Finally Taylor and Leander get together only to be torn apart. WTH! Now I must suffer with wonder until April 18th.
Have to be honest I'm invested in this series.
Sissy's Romance Book Review
Bite of Winter by Lily Archer is book Three in the Fae's Captive Series. This continues the story of Taylor and Leander, so you should read the previous books 'Fae's Captive' and 'Road To Winter' to fully enjoy this one. This book picks up where we left off in the last one. Where Taylor and Leander where just coming to terms with each other but now they have been pulled apart.
This series is several quick read that continue their story and makes you want more from them.

Bruh, I was pumped for answers but not only did I get some, I got a ton more questions and another ending to wreck my whole soul. I didn’t see any of that coming and I feel personally attacked here my dudes. I’m all tense and I have to finish this tonight now there is no other option.

First off all:

This DIDN'T NEED TO BE 4 mini books that come together to form one super book very annoyed reader!

With more development it could have been a beautiful two book combo or 1½ books at the least. This? This is fucking stupid. And it will become m

And here we are. Sabina Espinet-Todd told me the wait would be worth it when I FINALLY got to the steamy mating of Leander and Taylor. (I couldn’t believe it took 3 books. I mean, when Sabina fist recommended this series to me, I resisted because the covers just look like porn...but she insisted these books soar above the literary genre and I should ignore the covers.” Her taste is impeccable; so I trusted her.) Anywho....once again I just don’t have the right words; so I will rely on quoting Sa ...more

This series has totally captivated me. I am all for these characters and I absolutely love it! I can't really get into details about the book because they're super spoilery. But just know, that I love this series and I was super sad to find out that book four is the final book about Leander and Taylor. The final 4 books are about Gareth and Beth. Who I love, but meh. I am loving these two MCs right now and I'm not ready to give them up! ): ...more

This book was a kickass addition to the series. There was nothing I didn't like, except the backstabbing of course. My favorite part?...Unicorns🤣🤣🙌🙌🙌 I can't wait for the final book.

Oh wow! What a good series! I can't wait to read book 4!

Note: each book ends on a cliffy, so you might want to wait till the series is complete. Book 4, per Amazon, will released on April 18. This series is also available on KU.

The plot has definitely thickened in this much more action based story. It's great to be able to move straight on to more books.

Bite of Winter was an okay book but I hate the whole kidnapping thing. It seems to be a trend within this series and I'm hoping that Taylor actually gets better and I don't know - fights back? Who knows. Besides that, this book was actually interesting and I hate all the teasing moments. Just want all the smut and less kidnapping.

I do love these, quick and entertaining reads. They are addictive page turners, short but each one leaves you wanting the next.

I am beginning to get a little bored with this series which is why it has taken me this long to write up this review. I still like how Taylor is so innocent and willing to help anyone around her. She doesnt see the evil in people but gives them a chance. I wish that things between her and Leander would have been a little bit better developed. I think that if these books were in one bigger book it would have been better for me. I am excited to see how the next love story takes place. If they are ...more

This was the juiciest of them all so far. Books MUST be read in order, by the way. This one was the most romantic and still the plot thickened and progressed.

I think if this series had been one long book it would have made it a vastly popular success. .

This book picks up right where the last one left off- with our party fighting for their lives against the Vundi warriors. We get to find out more about this insular society, meet some new characters, get a bit more information on the prophecy, and continue on the journey to the winter realm.

So .....the bad:
I am so glad the mating bond has been cemented and done- not because I particularly wanted them to get together, but because hopefully now Leander will stop being a pushy, manipulative horn do

This book picks up right where book 2 leaves off yet again. I'm definitely on the edge of my seat and unable to put these down. Don't mind me I'm off on a binder..again lol. Taylor and her entourage journey across the plains only to be beset by Vundi, a clan that seems to have traded their allegience to the mountain king in order to feed their people. After a scuffle and an approaching storm they head into the Vundi's lair to be met with hostility despite helping them and even treachery and loss ...more

Wow, what a ride!
Bite of Winter by Lily Archer is the third installment in her Fae's Captive serial. Bite of Winter is not a standalone. You must read the books in order. The previous books are Fae's Captive and Road to Winter.
The story picks up where the previous book was left off. Leander and Taylor are in a standoff with the Vundis. To avoid a bloodbath, Taylor agrees to go with them. She develops more powers and it seems she's the owner of powerful magic herself.

I am a 65 yr old woman & you have made my sexual (sleeping) side of me wake.... Wide awake! Your story telling has me reading each book with one sitting. I have never read another book with such furious desire to see what happens next as I have with Fae's Captive. I am absolutely in love with the characters! You go Girl! And keep writing!!!

Talking Unicorn Scene 😂😂😂

This book was great, so many scenes had me rolling with laughter. Few scenes had me tearing up from sadness.

Lots of mystery, looking forward to the next book.

Ended in a total cliffhanger. We get some more clues as to Taylor’s background, but it seems we’ll need to wait for the final book to get our answers.

The Fae's Captive series is a series of short novella length stories following Taylor, a human who was drugged and taken to the Fae realm and her mate, Leander. If you haven't read or looked at the first reviews in the series, I don't know why you're this deep, but don't worry no spoilers :)

Okay, seriously these just keep getting better and better. Each installment does end on a cliffhanger, but they are very enjoyable. I don't know really how to put it, honestly. I'm not mad about it at all.

I did.NOT see that coming. CrAAAAAziness! I have to admit, page 12 in the very first book, I almost quit reading... Almost. I'm glad I didn't. I'm rather enjoying these stories. Cliff hangers, every single one of them. I'm happy the next book in the series is already out or I would be going a tad bit insane right about now. I may update my review later, as of right now I'm too impatient to process and try to string together anymore sentences. Toodles!
In the winter realm

Out party makes it to the winter realm, but soon find that not all their problems are solved. Taylor is no longer struggling with where she belongs. I liked some aspects of this book, but not others. Taylor is heading into Mary Sue territory and although these novels are short, this one lagged a little for me.

Two thoughts:
1) I am Beth in this story, feeling cock blocked by lack of mating (it does eventually come)
2) unicorns are now also ruined for me. Mint.

I’ve committed now to at least finishing Taylor (hate the name in this world) and Leander’s story. Undecided whether I’ll continue with the 4 about Beth and Gareth.
