This has been such a fun series, I'm sad to see it come to an end!
Pru, Mel, and Terri are back with another crazy adventure that once again has the men in their lives working overtime to keep them safe! These ladies don't understand the meaning of "let the police handle it", as they take it upon themselves to discover just who it is that's been sending Pru threatening notes.
I wish these gals were real because I would so insinuate myself into their trio and make them be my friends! Even in th

I had the fortunate luck to be able to read this book before the release.

Ms Haggerty never disappoints with her cozy romantic murder mysteries!

The only downside to this is that it's the last in the series. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

In this third book in The Not So Reluctant Detectives series Terri, Mel and newest member of the trio, mild mannered Prudence Webber, find themselves solving another mystery, this time concerning Pru and a stalker/murderer.

Pru hasn’t shared her experience with stalkers with her friends, or anyone else for that matter. She’s pushed her previous life to the back of her mind, where she thought it would stay. She had been prepared for an isolated life after she had relocated and had no thought of m

Pru is on the run from a previous bad experience with a man, so she’s not about to get involved with another. That is, until she meets Ajax, the cute gym teacher at the school where she teaches English lit. Her past threatens to catch up with her when she starts receiving threatening notes. And, when the police haul Pru in for questioning over a murder, of course her friend Mel announces, “… we need to figure out who actually killed this Kathy Greene woman to clear Pru’s name.” With friends Terr ...more

This book grabs you right away with the first line of the book is the first note Pru receives in a series of threatening notes from an unidentified person. Pru has a secret and has come all the way from California to Milwaukee to keep that secret.
The book was really good, and a quick read as Pru and her friends, Melanie and Terri, try to help her discover the identity of who is sending Pru the notes. A woman is found murdered and seems to be connected to Pru but she has no idea who the woman wa

The gang is back to solve another mystery and this time it focuses on Pru and her past.

I've enjoyed getting to know this tight-knit group of characters - Mel, Terri, and Pru are three women that have become fast friends. Pru is new to the group and was roped into the trio in the second book that focused on Mel's issues. There is also some hunky men in the picture - Owen, Ryder, and Ajax. We learn some fascinating tidbits about Ajax in this book and I loved how he was captivated by Pru and was w

Hide Not Seek is the third book of The Not So Reluctant Detective series. The story revolves around Pru, who is a high school English literature teacher. Pru has created a new identity and lives in Milwaukee to escape traumatic events that occurred while residing in California.

Pru never plans to divulge her real name. However, Pru soon feels she has no alternative but to reveal details of her past life when she becomes the recipient of threatening notes, and someone attempts to frame her for a w

Was chosen to review this book and absolutely loved it! Saw the it’s the last one in the series and was really disappointed! It was easy to get into and i can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next!

What a fun book this was! Hide Not Seek may be the best book in the series. If you haven't read book one or book two, you will have no trouble picking up on the storylines. The author is able to completely summarize the story of the previous book in just a few paragraphs. The reader completely comes to love Pru and if there has been any reading of the earlier books, you fully love reading about Mel and Terri and Owen and Ryder.

Another amazing part of this book is that you can't know who the kil

Hide Not Seek, D.E. Haggerty's 3rd installment of the Not So Reluctant Detectives series was a fast fun read! I am glad to have had the opportunity to read it as an advanced copy! I enjoyed the author's writing style, it was really easy to set the mental scene. It did get a little redundant reading the italicized “he” and “him” when she thought or spoke about the man who had stalked her friend and was thought to be stalking her. Aside from that, I can't think of anything to criticize. I liked th ...more

Hide Not Seek is the third volume in The Not So Reluctant Detectives series and completes the trilogy with Pru’s story. Although she has not lived in Milwaukee for very long, Pru has formed a strong bond with Mel and Terri whose stories were told in the first two books. She thought she had left the past behind her, and when she starts getting threatening notes we finally find out what Pru has been hiding from the others, but she does not give up her secret until absolutely forced to. Hide Not Seek is the third installment in D.E.Haggerty’s awesome The Not So Reluctant Detectives Cozy Mystery Series. The series follows friends Terri, Melanie and Prudence in their investigative adventures. I love that these books are tense but had me chuckling a few times too.

Not only had Pru been set up for murder but a stalker had been leaving her notes. Pru was sure it had something to do with her past that her friends knew nothing about. Worried about them, the only thing she could think o

This book focuses on Pru, finding creepy notes - has her murdered friend's stalker found her?

With "Hide Not Seek", D. E. Haggerty has created an expertly worded and very funny suspense story with a romantic touch. The story comprises a broad variety of believable characters with sufficient depth, hilarious moments, and interesting interactions to solve the case of the diamond pendant necklace. I had a great time reading "Hide Not Seek" – it is a very fun read. I was drawn into the story right aw

Hide Not Seek is the third book in the Not So Reluctant Detective series by D.E. Haggerty.

This is the second book I’ve read in the series. I enjoyed this much more than the second book in the series.

This book focuses on Prudence and an issue from her past coming back to haunt her.

Pru grew as a character who didn’t even know if she was dating Ajax to being able to open up and share about her past with her friends. There’s still a ways to go, but progress was made.

It was an interesting mystery an

Even though I have not read the other books in this series ( I really must now) I was able to follow this story. It was funny, mysterious and thought provoking all at once. Pru has moved to a new city, has a new name and new friends all to get away from the memories and threats of her friend's stalker/killer. Her new friends rally around her and try to discover who is now stalking Pru. This also includes the hunky school coach who definitely has a thing for her. I course things get a little craz ...more

Hide Not Seek is a super fun story. I REALLY enjoyed this, and I’m positive that you will too. I read this book in a day, it’s too good to put down. It’s really fun watching Pru and her two girlfriends trying to be investigators. These ladies are AMAZING characters. The characters are very real. Loved them, you will too. Now, this is a series. This is the 3rd in this series and if you jump right into this 3rd book, you’ll be just fine. You can read the other two later. Once you read this, and ha ...more

This is the first time I am meeting Pru, Mel and Terri but I have to say I truly would want to be part of their group! They are a wild group of gals who don't let anything get in their way when they are trying to solve a mystery and keep Pru safe!
Pru has a stalker but she won't tell anyone what's going on which is putting herself at even more risk. This was definitely a page turner (even though the pages were virtual!)!! It was a definite surprise to find out who the actual killer was as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed this fast-paced mystery that kept me glued to the book from beginning to end and loved the camaraderie between Pru and her friends. Even though this is the third book in the Not So Reluctant Detectives series, it is the first I have read and I am so intrigued by these characters, I plan to read books one and two. I received an advance reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

The Not So Reluctant Detectives are at it again. This time Mel and Terri are determined to prove Pru did not murder a woman she says she never met. Pru is determined to keep her secrets and avoid getting further involved with Ajax but neither may be possible as someone sinister is threatening the new life she has started. Who is Pru, who is stalking her and why was a complete stranger murdered and Pru framed? Hide not Seek is a twisty whodunnit. I find myself liking the characters more and more ...more

Hide Not Seek is the third installment in The Not So Reluctant Detectives series, but it can definitely stand on its own. This book is fast-moving, gripping and a very good read. Pru is a great protagonist -- with a frightening secret, but also with a lot of spirit. Although she has not been in Milwaukee long, she has made two wonderful friends, Mel and Terri, who are in her corner and will do anything to help their new friend. A hunky P.E. instructor from her new school adds to the great chemis ...more

This is my first in the series I hope not the last. I do want to go read the others that came before.
It is a good pace and the characters are very likeable. I did not feel lost at all having not read the one that came before.
I do like how they get into things that are not really their business but use their own different way to get out of troubles. Has a little romance and good friends with humor made the book even better.
I like the quotes from classic books and as the main character is an Engli

I really enjoy the NOT SO RELUCTANT DETECTIVES Series of Cozy Mysteries by D. E. Haggerty. The strong friendship of these three ladies (school librarian, guidance counselor, and new English teacher, at a Milwaukee secondary school) uplifts each story, and their strong-willed determination to protect and uphold each other leads the trio into some mighty twisty amateur investigations. But they're well-educated and quite intelligent, and despite often outstripping their male counterparts on the inv ...more

Another great read from D. E. Haggerty! I loved learning more about Pur, the third member of the Not So Reluctant Detectives. Mel, Terri and Pur solve the case again with a few mishaps, laughs and just s touch of romance along the way. If you love a light-hearted fun mystery, this is a book you want to pick up. Once you read it you'll definitely want to grab the rest of the series.

In Hide Not Seek, the third book in The Not So Reluctant Detectives Series, author D.E. Haggerty continues to weave a delightful cozy mystery series that follows the amateur investigative adventures of best friends and co-workers Terri, Melanie and Prudence.

Pru's secretive past has come back to haunt her. Someone has tried to set Pru up for the murder of a local woman, but that's not all. Pru has a stalker who is leaving her notes, and she is ready to high-tail it out of Milwaukee, but Pru's spe

This book is very funny and addictive, full of twists and humor, I really loved this particular trio of investigators.

The three protagonists are adorable, I would like to be part of their group. Pru is the most quiet and reserved, Mel is the most enterprising but very protective and then there is Terry the most mature and wise. All three work in the same school and are both engaged to men who carry out investigations for work (a detective, a private investigator) while Pru is very much courted b
