Here's to the plane you missed,
the tickets ripped away,
and the lands left unexplored.

Here's to the boxes left unopened,
the keys thrown away,
and the treasures left untouched.

Here's to the 2 AM thoughts,
the song of what ifs,
and the chances I missed.

Sebelum kenal bookstagram, gue ga pernah baca buku puisi. Terakhir baca ya pas di bangku sekolah 😅 Thanks to the community, I’ve found some good poetry books, and one of them is this one.

We couldn’t hold on
to each other,
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So we hold on
to the past

Absolutely beautiful English poetry book! I seemed to be bewitched because every page was filled with meaning. Not too thick and very enjoyable.

Some of the parts I like:

"If he's a dream, I never want to wake up."

"Maybe you want something simple,
and I'm simply complicated."

"Do you miss me?
Do you miss me like I miss you?"

"Future came when the past left."

"You are one of the storiest I ended before I write a single word."

"Saturday nights are made of dreams.
Sunday mornings are made of forevers."

"The dark can't hide me anymore, now that the truth is in the open."

"It's up to us
to end us
or to see us
as an art—
let it be.
We are perfectly imperfect."

"Every day,
I choose you.
You choose me."

"You are a part of the reason behind my decisions.
You are a part of me, that life I choose."

My heart melts at every word in this book 💛✨

Surprisingly good.

A real gem in the middle of indonesia "poetry book" garbage. I will recommend this book to my friends who like easy, sweet poetry. Clear message, clear conflict and resolution. It's very nice. Glad to see there's still good indonesia contemporary poetry book noawadays :)

"His "I love you"
is the way
he looks at her
when he thinks
she's not looking."

Reading this book is like a journey of love. The happiness of falling in love, the anger when things go wrong, the sadness when broken up and then the courage to discover love once again. Her writing style is simple yet its so magical. It's not a corny kind of love but it's a genuine love.

This book of poems tells the true story of how love works.

It’s enchanting, very enchanting, especially when you thought that you had found the one. But, then that feeling may not last long. The closer you are with someone, each of you and your partner’s personalities are clearer, more vulnerable. When the feeling is gone or isn’t mutual anymore, you may hold on to the past —the memories— just to postpone the inevitable. But, at some point, the past will just not work for you anymore, until you or your partner decides to break the pact that was once made together. Then, came the ocean of sadness, of guilt, of grief. All of a sudden, hope became the villain, hope made you believed that they were the one for your. Hope made you believed that it was finally time for your happily ever after. Yet, turns out, it’s not. When the grief and tears stopped, you met someone again. But then the same cycle happened again. Your heart became an empty crack (as the author illustrated) again.

Time after time, you finally learn to let go and to love. Because you finally realized that love is not all about someone else. Love have to start from loving your own self.

The author wrote the poems beautifully, but still understandable. She was able to narrate a complicated story in a series of poems, and that’s what made me interested in this book.

My favorite quote from this book is this this:
“I learn to let go
the boy i fell in love with.

I learn to hold on to me, to tell myself I'm more than the things anybody else thinks of me.

I learn to listen to myself, to keep doing the things that makes me happy, regardless of their thoughts.

I learn to be
the girl I fall in love with.”

When I saw this at the bookstore, I'm not interested at all because there is no illustration at the book, and it make the book feels empty. And then I decided to give it a try because I want to read poetry. I regret it. Some of the poems is good but some of it just have 2 lines in it. 2 lines! Is it a poem? Some poem waste 3x2 pages because they're only have 2 line each, I said 3x2 pages because they're only prints at the right side of the book & left side is mostly empty, make me feel this is a waste of paper, they're should print it both side. Or make more words / poems. If they're only want to print one side at least put some illustrations in it. All of the poetry books I read so far have amazing or good illustrations & make me can feel the poems more. This book feels very empty. Same opinion on Natasha other book. I surprise the POP ice, the publisher let it to be printed that way.

I really enjoy reading this book. This is a small book filled with short poetries. Not too raw, because it's wrapped with brilliant analogy (that actually make more senses than write it in raw conditions) but has deep meaning and understanding of love itself. Reading this book is like riding a journey. When you start falling in love to a boy, hopping to a relationship, getting heart broken. All above just wrapped in one small beautiful book.

"You are one of the stories I ended before I write a single word"

you know what is the most beautiful part of being in love? it is that even if you're hurt, you can transform the worst feeling to the most beautiful art, and these poetry book is it's evolution. i can feel that every words speak to me whispering something i've ever felt. reading this, makes me realize that i ever experienced the utmost feeling which i always deny before. what a perfect 30mins reading 🖤

I love this poetry books. In my opinion, the phase this book has giving me a view about how love can be seen.
It can be seen as beautiful as it is when the couple hand-in-hand and searching for happiness, it may be sad when love become a games, sad and confusing at the same time. But the last phase, Love, I guess it becomes a good closure. Love have to be not only for outside but also for ourselves 💜

Sorry for my broken english

I always think of someone when I read this book hahaha

"He has the smirk of a rock star,
the refined taste of a chef,
the selflessness of a protagonist,
and the fun of his own.
At every chance he gets,
he catches my eyes,
and slips into my day, my night,
and every second in between.
If he's a dream, i never want to wake up"

AAAA I LOVE THIS POEM BOOK!

beautifully written. This book explain that love involve the feeling of fun, excitement, broken, doubted, wonder, what-if thoughts, and trust. The way back to every road we took. This is definitely how love feels like, how love truly is inscribed in poetry.

a collection of sweetly stringed poems, consisting of four stages that are actually relatable and hit close to home! very good depiction of what love is with little to no unnecessary sugarcoat, wrapped in excellent build-ups and analogy. 💝

beautiful words covered in beautiful book!

Selama baca ini enjoy banget!
Some part, ada yang bener-bener relate dengan apa yang 'biasanya' kita rasain saat jatuh cinta.
Tapi ada beberapa yang a lil bit 'too much'
