My heart is aching as I finish the book.
I must confess, didn't see that coming, though, as I was reading it, I couldn't stop reminding the Sons of Anarchy series...
Marcus Savage did what he thought was best to his club, at the same time, he found love.
In his world, where violence prevails, love is something rare to find, so he has to make choices.
So why the four and not five stars?
Can't explain... Maybe because I wanted a different end, or maybe this one were too predictable...
I love dark stories but this one was too much drama for me, I guess that's why the four stars...

Wow!!! You Won’t See This Coming!!
Let’s see, I’ll start off by saying this is dark, intense, steamy, and unbelievably surprising. That’s a good start anyway to come up with what this book has brought to the table. The MC lovers I know like their men dark and controlling that know how to treat a woman even if they don’t understand it themselves.
Marcus (Savage) Turner is all of that and then some. He is a man who loves his club and would do anything to protect his brothers even if it means it may cost him everything including his life. Isn’t that the payment for being a rat? This is not black and white though there are so many layers to this story that it will have you turning pages as quick as you can just to see how this will all play out and about the time you think you have it figured out…let’s just say you will be shocked.
Another fantastic book that only leaves me wanting more.

WOW!!! Dark Savage book 1 of the Dark Duet will blow you away and have your emotions all over the place. This book is filled with danger, violence, betrayals, murder and lots of steam. Marcus (Savage) Turner is the President of the Dark Savage MC and will do anything for his brothers and club even when he is forced to be an informant for the FBI in order to save his club as well as finding the rat who is feeding them information. When Savage meets Charlie he is in a dark place, but the chemistry between them is quick and explosive. Savage feels that she is hiding things from him, but when things come to past he will do everything he can to save her and his club even go as far as sacrificing himself. The ending was an emotional one and not one that you hope will come to past. Erin took a different path with this book and I look forward to book 2 to find out what happens to the Dark Savage MC. This is one book that is a must read and which I highly recommend. I voluntairly reviewed an advance copy of this book.

O.M.F.G... this is another MUST read for 2019!! Erin Trejo is bring this year in strong so far and I can’t wait to see what she has for us next!! If I could this 10 ⭐️’s I would still want to give it more!!

Brutal, exciting, intriguing, hard and heartbreaking is what you get with this fast paced story that brings Marcus "Savage" Matthews' Dark Savage MC, as well as his story with the beauty that not only brings him peace, but twists him in knots, Charlie.
There's a rat in his club. One of his brothers is a rat and he doesn't know who it is, unfortunately a childhood friend is an FBI agent and has just tied a noose around his neck and blackmailed him into doing the same thing. To save his club, his brothers Savage reluctantly agrees to get the intel on another club that the feds need and to keep their investigation away from his club. None of this sits well with him, but as president of the club he will do anything and everything he can to keep them safe, including doing the one thing what will bring him certain death. Then there is Charlie, the beauty that comes blowing into his life and takes everything that he gives out and asks for more. He brings her into his life, puts hers in danger and and tries to get her to leave but she refuses. She needs him just as much as he needs her.
This story will have you sitting on the edge of your seat as you turn page after page. It will grip you, command you, anger you and it will break you. The characters are so very well written and so complex that just when you think you know them, you find out that you don't.

I look forward to books by this author. She knows how to write about the rough bad boys but usually they have more about them likable than not. Not so this story. The story made me sad all the way through. I couldn’t set it aside as I waited for things to be different with Savage. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great story and Savage had some likable traits but overall it made me sad. Savage didn’t seem to have a chance from the beginning and not until Charlie enters the picture does Savage have any strong feelings for much of anyone. He doesn’t even have any dreams of something else. Charlie has her own sad story. Her life has been anything but charmed. Her dad does nothing to improve it. Yet she comes across as feisty and caring. I think the author did great with this story. I can’t say I’m overjoyed the way things turned out. I really, really dislike Byron. But for a twist on a story this one is it. I’ll remember this one and probably read it more than a couple times. There is just so much emotion I associate with Savage. This is one of those stories that just sticks in my mind and as I said makes me sad. I can’t wait to see what will be next.

OMG, this book… this book left my heart in pieces, patched me up and started the cycle all over again. Just WOW. If you are an MC reader like I am, you know a few things to be truth’s. The club comes first, you protect your brothers no matter what and loyalty is a must. Break any of those and you’re dead to the club, literally.
When the Marcus, the Prez of the Dark Savage MC, is told by the FBI that he either helps them by becoming an informant or his club will be brought down and jailed. Marcus becomes a man in a very dark dangerous position. He will do anything for his club but agreeing to become a rat goes against everything he believes it. During his time of indecision, he meets Charlie. She too is in a very dark place in her live. Their instant connection is amazing. Their lives intertwine. Can Marcus come up with a way to save Charlie and his club? Or will they all crash and burn.
Gripping, Suspenseful, Heartbreaking, Dangerous are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Marcus and the Dark Savage MC. This reader can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Dark Savage MC in part 2 of this duet. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Amazing Stars.

Strong story
This the first book in the series is obviously laying the foundations for the future books and giving a good background into the workings of the club. Savage was a strong and tough leader who believed in the club and it's laws wholeheartedly. He was forced into a position where he had to feed information to the FBI to keep the club and it's members safe and free even though it was a betrayal to the rules of the club. He met Charlie a woman who quickly became the centre of his world and ends up carrying his child. Savage declares his wrong doing to his club picks his replacement and then pays the ultimate price of betrayal with his life. This book is so bitter sweet it tears your heart out at the end, should Savage have had to pay with his life when he was forced to do what he did was it really betrayal in my option not but he made the ultimate choice himself. The saddest part he never got to meet his son. A really great introduction to this series can't wait for the next book.

Dark Savage is one of those books you don’t want to put down until the end. You know how it is supposed to end, but because you fall so deeply in love with the main characters you can’t stop reading because you just know the plot can’t possibly play out the way you think it is. The love story between Marcus and Charlie is one you know MUST end in a HEA, but Trejo is known for her wicked musings, you never know which direction the story will go…and this is why we fans love to read her books!
Dark Savage allows the reader to get a first person perspective of what it is like to be the President of an MC. To use the phrase “heavy is the head that wears the crown” is very apropos. The internal struggle Marcus fights between the love of his MC, honoring the rules they must enforce and the pull of feelings for a woman is a battle no one but him should fight as no other brother should suffer the same fate when the club is threatened.
This book is the perfect opener for the Dark Savage series and leaves the reader starving for more.

When you are a member of an MC then you will do whatever you need to do for them when you are president that is increased ten fold and Marcus Savage president of The Dark Savage MC is in a no win situation He has been forced by a so called friend turned FBI agent to work for the FBI and he will do the unthinkable to keep his MC family safe. When he falls in love with Charlie then his life turns on its axis yet again. Now desperate for the second book "Lying Hearts" after the way this one ended. Erin Trejo is a wonderful writer of MC romance she never powder coats the fact that this is a dark world in which they live in nor the fact that they will do dark deeds even if it is for a good reason

OMG, this is a great story but a tad sad, I had tears by the end if it which sometimes happens with this author and unfortunately for one of the characters I did not like him for what he did, though it ended up happily for him. Which goes to show what a wonderful writer this is, pulling emotions through her words, this is definitely action packed, I know I am being cryptic, but I can't give anything away as that will spoil your enjoyment, I just cannot wait for book two and to see what happens next with Dark Savage MC.

I ❤ reading MC romance! There is just something about a dangerous sexy biker!
This story was like Romeo and Juliet biker style....awesome!!

To Savage as President his MC & his crew are like family and everything he does is to protect them but when the FBI comes things change...it seems he not only has a secret problem with the FBI, he also has a rat problem that needs to be exterminated.
When Charlie meets Savage it's explosive but they stay together for awhile until some of her secret past comes out.
Savage needs to take out the Bloody Sunday MC it's the only way but when certain things come to light...things don't go as planned!

I read this story in the boxset Wanted: An Outlaw Anthology. Marcus is the president of the MC and he's brought in by the police to see someone. This someone was a friend once, now he's the FBI and wants Marcus (Savage) to be a rat, to turn in other MC's the FBI are looking for. Knowing it's a death sentence for him when he does this. Charlie comes into his life when he least expects it and they have a love that won't last. There is a lot of danger which u expect around this type of book and the life as he knows it is over. The ending will surprise you.

I should know better. I should know that there should be no expectations when it comes to Erin Trejo because right when you think you know what is going to happen, she throws a curve ball and you are left in a pile of your own tears. This was a really good read with so much suspense it broke me at times. She did break me with that conclusion. I was left hyperventilating, crying, screaming, and just broke. This is how great her writing is that you can feel all this from her stories. I don't know that I can read the next one because my heart just can't take it.

You can never be sure how the story will start or end when she is behind the story...lol but i can't ever say I'm disappointed... Loved Savage and Charlie ... As twisted as he was their broken pieces fit... I was expecting a different ending but gotta say it left me thinking... And now that I've read it all I must say ... I want to know their story Erin... 😘 you won't be disappointed with this story so read it ... Go on the ride that is Savage and broken and cheer them on ...

The Dark Savage MC members are family to Savage their President. When his family is threatened Savage will do everything he has to in order to protect his family, even the unthinkable. When you live your life by a set of rules, where loyalty to the club is first, there are no second chances. Ever.

Talk about a book hangover! Savage and Charlie are like a flame around gasoline. There is chemistry for days but you never know when it’s going to explode. Savage is an MC President that is blackmailed into being a FBI rat. Nothing good can ever come from that. Knowing he’s on borrowed time, he’s in a race to save his club, Charlie and himself and knows that he can’t save them all. This is a fast paced book that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

What to say about this book. There are so many words to describe it. Action packed, a little dark, emotional, and heartbreaking. This book pulls you in a keeps you there with so many twists and turns and ending that will blow your kind. Charlie and Savage will have you laughing and crying and keeps you on the edge waiting fro the next page to see what happens. Can't wait to read book 2 to see what happens next.

Forced to make tough decisions, to take steps that no one wants to have to take, he'll risk it all to protect Charlie. This was a gritty, heartbreaking story, with twists and hard times ahead. Well where to start. As normal erin brings the dark and badass boys of the biker world to life in another gritty story. So many twists and turns it keeps you on your toes. Savage and Charlie were made for each other, but pride, regret and honour bind them with a docking end that torn my heart out. Great dark read you won't regret picking up.

Not your normal MC book or club. When Marcus, Savage, President of the Dark Savage MC, become an informant for the FBI his life takes a dangerous turn. After he meets Charlie and starts to have feelings for her his world does another flip. Intense, dark and sexy, just what an MC book is all about. Can not wait for book 2!!

Dark Savage by Erin Trejo
Another amazing story by Erin Trejo. She hit it out of park. I didn't expect it to go how it did. It had my emotions all over.

Damn this book almost blew up my e reader it was dark , unapologetically sneaky and Sexy AF.

WOW! This story pulls you in from the beginning and pulls you along through twists and turns that keep coming! Marcus and Charlie, I loved their story. I can’t wait for book 2! Highly recommend!!
